Abstract

One of the directions in the development of modern local history knowledge has been the publication of books dedicated to the small homeland. These publications include stories on the history of settlements, and then a description of the events of the XX century. The article analyzes 6 books dedicated to the Tatar villages of the Omsk Irtysh region. The main attention is paid to identifying ethnographical information in these publications that contributes to the transmission of the cultural heritage of the Tatars.
