Abstract
The article analyzes the theoretical aspects of the importance of creating and developing ergonomic scientific laboratories based on domestic universities and research institutes. The paper considers modern technologies for modelling scientific structures in the organizations (institutions) subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and describes the main models of initiating and operating scientific laboratories created at Russian universities and research organizations. To demonstrate the relevance of building a laboratory in the field of ergonomics, the authors conduct an analysis of the availability of laboratories in this profile at the world’s leading universities.
