Abstract

The aim of the study is to identify the linguodidactic potential of electronic educational platforms, programs and applications in teaching foreign languages to university students. The paper examines various notions such as “digitization”, “e-learning”, “electronic educational platform” and “e-learning application”, reveals their essence and defines their content. The scientific novelty of the study lies in justifying the need for incorporating e-learning into modern higher education and the validity of using electronic didactic tools in teaching foreign languages to students. As a result, the linguodidactic scientific value of the examined electronic platforms, programs and applications has been determined, allowing for effective and modern foreign language education in the university setting.
