Abstract

The paper substantiates the role of successful adap-tation of first-year students in mastering their future profession. The age-related features of college and university students, their influence on the course of adaptation processes are revealed. The personal characteristics of students as representatives of a special social group are characterized. Particular attention is paid to the system of value orientations in a given age period, as well as to the main forms of interpersonal communication and behavior. The features of students' value orientations, their signifi-cance and degree are revealed. The results of the study of the value orientations of first-year students of Penza State Technological University (level of HE) and the Technological College, which is part of the multi-level educational complex of PenzGTU, are highlighted. The analysis of the data is carried out. Recommendations are formulated on the pedagogi-cal supply of successful socio-psychological and educational-professional adaptation of first-year students to the educational environment of a multi-level educational organization, taking into account the age characteristics of students.
