Abstract

The article describes the characteristics of the funeral rite recorded during the excavations of the pre-Turkic complex Choburak-I (Chemal region of the Altai Republic). The possibilities of interpreting such indicators as the topography and planigraphy of the necropolis, above-ground and intra-grave structures, the method of inhumation and various elements of the ritual are presented. The site is attributed to the Dyalyan tradition of ritual practice of the population of the Bulan-Koby culture
