Abstract

In design environment of 21C, the importance of emotional context in user experience is extended and it shows a tendency for putting stress on nonmaterial feature of product. Therefore, the implicative design features are required and the functions of cognitive level that rated as a metaphysical structure become more significant things in design. In practice, it was revealed that the emotion which is occurred when users meet a product, in other words, the impression which is derived from objects is affected as an important clue for consumption instead of technical contents and manufacturing firms' images. The implicative design features is became and accepted as design information and it can be an important clue for design analysis or for verification of consumers’ reaction. In addition, design is an idealistic result that is inferred from mutual process via the relation of subjective and objective point of view and it is as an object for improving both physical and psychological satisfaction of consumers (members of society). Therefore, this study is for building a new tool for design development or market analysis via examination and verification about implicative design information. This study established recognition relations regarding design object focused on factors that affect products consumption psychology which is verified by Donald Norman who is a cognitive engineer. Furthermore, in the same way, this study defined terminology of semantic space and oppositive polarity in terms of the act and factors that interact in control process. The fifty students those are studying graduate and postgraduate school in design area are participated in this research for examining implicative information in design therefore, this study produced results by semantic approach. The results of this study can be used for search of implicative design information regarding the trend of design or independent design and it also can be applied for design analysis process, market research, design evaluation, and design development planning.
