Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of representation of stylistic labels in the dictionaries of the modern Russian language. The basic difficulty is that the labels assigned to the lexemes of the exico-semantic field INTERNET can differ from those proposed by native speakers. The author conducted a survey with a view to identify these differences. The lexemes were chosen taking into account their representation in the dictionaries and frequency of usage in everyday life. The paper concludes that native speakers consider some lexemes as neutral which indicates the changes in the field structure.
