Abstract

The article presents the results of the study on non-specific resistance in sows at different periods of the repro-ductive cycle in the conditions of an industrial pig-breeding complex. It has been established that in the animals that fell ill after farrowing, before insemination and during gestation, the level of humoral and cellular defense is lower than that in clinically healthy sows, indicating a risk of inflammatory processes developing in the reproductive system, which manifest themselves clinically as endometritis and MMA after farrowing. During lactation, sows that had postpartum diseases also had lower nonspecific resistance indicators than clinically healthy animals.
