Abstract
The article from the gnoseological point of view substantiates the idea of the ratio of model and original in the cognitive activity of students; which finds its refraction in the basis of the principles of learning and is implemented in three groups of methods: studying models, studying the original, communication of models with the original; generalizes the empirical material of students' research activities. The article is intended for teachers and students of high school, educational workers.
