Abstract

The article presents the practical experience of creating a travelling exhibition «Grigory Choros-Gurkin. The Legend about Altai» materials from the fund of the Altai State Museum of Regional Studies are presented — various paintings and drawings be Grigory I. Choros-Gurkin. This includes pencil and ink drawings donated to Shapovalova A. during her meeting with the artist in 1930, when she traveled through the Altai Mountains. Later, A. Shapovalova herself presented the drawings to the museum in 1976. The study of ethnographic sketches was conducted in the form of a formal and stylistic analysis of individual paintings and drawings. The selected paintings and drawings were used in a form of reproductions in a making of traveling exhibition «Grigory Choros-Gurkin. The Legend about Altai».
