Abstract

A photoelectric method is proposed for determining the velocity of the shock wave front in air in the gap between colliding plates during explosion welding. Using traps placed in the welding gap, dispersed metal particles of cumulative origin were discovered, filling the area of shock-compressed air in the gap and significantly affecting the speed of the shock wave front in the air.
