Abstract

We have analyzed the inquiry context and terms in inquiry area of the material field in the 7th secondary science textbooks in order to confirm suitable adaptation and reflection of the 7th science curriculum. The results are as follows. The analysis of the inquiry context for the middle school science books shows that scientific context is most significant for all grades, but the relative ratio of the contexts for the personal, social, and technical is higher at the 8th grade than the 7th grade or the 9th grade.
