Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the intrapersonal conflict of an employee of the internal affairs bodies, which can unfold not only with oneself, but also be extrapolated to the social environment. Thanks to the generalization of concepts created by domestic scientists, it was revealed that the intrapersonal conflict state of an employee of the internal affairs bodies is characterized by the presence of mutually exclusive and incompatible motivational and value bases and goal aspirations, the contradictory force of which a person cannot overcome in his activity. The conclusion is made about the difficulties in adaptation, which provoke intrapersonal conflicts, negatively affect motivation and reduce the effectiveness of the performance of official duties by police officers. Successful performance of official tasks by a police officer accelerates positive change and promotes personal and professional development. Useful life experience is a source of self-knowledge and strengthening of mental integrity. From a certain point in time, a person himself begins to purposefully plan his own life and manage it.
