Abstract
Drawing on the agenda of Critical Discourse Analysis and conducting a Systemic Functional analysis, the present paper aims to study discursive representations and legitimization strategies in posts made by Primary Education teachers on an elected official's facebook page in September 2013. Within the broader context of the Greek crisis, a series of changes to the educational policy on teachers’ placement prompted reactions in the Primary Education sector, honing the construction of opposing in- vs. out-groups (e.g. permanent vs. non-permanent teachers).
