Abstract

Around the world, about 1 billion people suff er from mental disorders, including about 14 % of adolescents. Deaths of people with severe mental illness occur on average 10-20 years earlier than in the general population, mainly due to the development of preventable somatic diseases. Global systemic threats to mental health include socioeconomic inequalities, health emergencies, wars, etc. Leading causes of depression are childhood sexual abuse and child bullying. These data from the World Health Organization, other bodies are regarded as one of the most signifi cant public health problems. Based on the results of the monitoring, analytical materials on the main recommendations of international bodies in the fi eld of problems of mental disorders and disorders of public behavior, including children and adolescents, as well as information on the legislative and regulatory implementation of them in Russia, are presented in a systematic form.
