Abstract

The article analyzes common approaches to solving the problem of developing the Far East by expanding promising foreign economic relations. The authors analyzed the regulatory framework and strategic planning documents on the development of the Far East region, highlighted key projects aimed at expanding foreign economic cooperation of the boundary regions. The development of the West-East international transport corri-dor is highlighted as key strategies; increasing the carrying capacity of the Baikal-Amur and Trans-Siberian railways, reorienting gas exports to the Asia-Pacific countries. Preferential regimes, reduction of the tax burden, simplification of bureaucratic procedures, reduction of the loan rate for small businesses, and development of free trade zones are effective mechanisms for developing investment attractiveness for foreign investors.
