Abstract

The review provides a summary of B.G. Ayagan`s book –Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Deputy Director of the Institute of State History of the CS MES RK “History of Ulug Ulus –the Golden Horde: lecture course”. The book raises the most controversial issues on the history of formation, functioning and collapse of the Golden Horde state. The work is a textbook of generalizing nature, where the style of presenting historical information is freed from an excessive load of scientific terms, and the form of presentation of the material is presented in a fairly accessible and easy to read language. At the same time, the necessary data on the dating of the formation of the Ulug Ulus, the activities of prominent rulers, military figures, and the chronology of the main events are given fully with the presence of color illustrations, inserts from sources and a methodological complex.
