Abstract

Jammu and Kashmir is a region where the national liberation struggle against integration with India has been ongoing for 72 years. In 2019, the central government unilaterally repealed Kashmir Special Articles 370 and 35A, which enshrined greater autonomy for the state. This decision led to a wave of protests in one of the regions of the state, the Kashmir Valley. The article examines the unsuccessful revolutionary episode of 2019, its causes and consequences, and also provides its classification.
