Abstract
The article analyzes the medical examination of 7372 citizens when conscripted for military service in the military commissariat of the Leninsky and Sverdlovsk administrative districts of the city of Irkutsk, Irkutsk region for 2021–2022. In the structure of fitness for military service of persons of military age for 2021 and 2022, according to the articles of the schedule of diseases, article 34 (refraction and accommodation disorders) takes 1st place, article 31 (retinal detachment) takes 2nd place, and 35 (blindness, low vision, color vision abnormalities) takes 3rd place. Every second young man of military age has a violation of refraction and accommodation, in which myopia (myopia) plays a leading role. A combination of ophthalmic nosologies was found in 530 (13.6 %) conscripts. Keywords: ophthalmological health, medical examination, military service, conscript, ophthalmological nosology
