Abstract

The article analyses the work of MGIMO University English Language Department № 1 aimed to optimize the first-year students’ educational process. The author analyses the ways to intensify the learning process and considers the potential of Total Quality Management technologies while developing the methodology to form linguistic skills and abilities among students with different levels of language training. The paper is addressed to foreign language teachers of non-linguistic higher education establishments, bachelor’s degree students specializing in “International Relations” and “Regional Studies”.
