Abstract

The aim of the study is to demonstrate the possibilities of laboratory and practical classes on methods of teaching literature by the example of class modelling for studying a literary work with the help of cultural analysis elements and forming the creative activity and professional competencies of the students – future teachers of literature. In the article the specificity of such laboratory and practical classes is described. Their didactic tasks, stages of preparation and implementation, criteria of students’ assessment are defined. The example of laboratory and practical class on class modelling of certain type (class of studying a literary work with the help of cultural analysis elements) is given. The scientific novelty consists in working out the methods of holding such classes to form creative activity and professional competencies of the students-teachers. The class scheme-model of studying a literary work with the help of cultural ana¬lysis elements on the material of M. A. Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita” has been developed and the realization of this scheme-model in a laboratory and practical class has been pre-sented. As a result, it has been proved that such type of classes contributes to future teachers’ initiative and development of creative approach, provides the future teachers’ independence in choosing the topic of a lesson, content of educational material, methods and techniques and has a positive influence on the further professional development of the future teachers of Russian language and literature.
