Abstract
The article presents the key aspects of theoretical and practical training of students in the development of digital competence in junior high school students. The typology of students of junior classes depending on the purpose of digital tools and the level of their development is considered. The features of the manifestation of digital competence in junior high school are also described. Digital tools, which can be used by an elementary school teacher in the work with children, are characterized. The results of an experimental study to determine the level of development of digital competence in elementary school children, carried out by students of “Psychological and Pedagogical Education” during their pedagogical practice are presented. The authors point out that the use of digital tools by students — future teachers of primary classes during pedagogical practice can help maintain motivation and stimulate the development of digital competence in the participants of the experiment.
