Abstract
The article by Ukrainian ethnologist Juliya Krykun (Юлія Сергіївна Крикун) reflects the influence of the features of life and work of Orthodox priests in the family and family relationships of rural community; their role in the implementation of the rituals associated with the birth of a child, weddings, funerals; legal registration of documents relating to various aspects of everyday life. We also consider the examples of the clergy influence on folk culture traditions and customs.
