Abstract
The hunting is considered in the settlements of the Tatars of the Bolsherechensky district of the Omsk region over the past three years on the basis of field ethnographic materials. The objects of hunting, lands, forms and methods of hunting are briefly characterized, some preserved worldviews related to hunting are listed. The hunting is currently of an amateur nature, is the leisure of men and one of the elements of their daily life. А collective driven hunt for a wolf on a horse are described also. This is one of the important specific features, in the past, characteristic of the northern forest-steppe zone.
