Abstract

The article presents the data of the study of heavy metal migration in the soil profile of the park-recreational zone of Rostov-on-Don on the example of the N. Ostrovsky park. The questions of heavy metals translocation into assimilating organs - leaves of Acer platanoides L. On the basis of calculated concentration coefficients conclusions are made about contamination of the surface layer of natural soils of the city with zinc, cobalt and lead. The values of coefficients characterizing the potential uptake of chemical elements and their actual up-take indicate the remediative properties performed by Acer platanoides L., as well as the anthropogenic nature of contamination of the surface layer of soil.
