Abstract

The article analyzes the role of museum instructor V.A. Anzimirov in the creation of the New Siberian Museum of Local Lore and museum network in Western Siberia in the early 1920s. The activity of V.A. Anzimirov is considered in the context of the formation of the museum management system in Russia in the first post-revolutionary years. Based on the study of V.A. Anzimirov's reports on museum construction, the consistency of his ideas with the latest theoretical views about the museum of that period is investigated. The ideas about the museum of world studies, which were embodied in the concept of the Novonikolaevsky Central (now Novosibirsk Local History) Museum, are haracterized, and the degree of their implementation is revealed.
