This study investigates an in-depth analysis of chemical, physical, thermal and tribological behavior of infused epoxy matrix for applications lowering of dry friction is targeted. Epoxy substrates were prepared by infusing Fullerene C70 and Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes in the weight concentration of 1, 3 and 5 wt%. Thermal analysis showed high glass transition temperature of carbon fillers compared to the pure epoxy substrate. These substrates have shown better surface wettability and increased surface energy at higher filler concentration. Friction coefficient and wear rate of tested filler epoxies ranges between 0.07 and 0.29 and 10−3-10−2 mm3/N-m. Increase in filler concentration up to 5 wt% showed significant improvement towards substrate tribological behavior.
