The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the optimization and potential acceptance of fees for waste transportation services and their contribution to the increase in Regional Original Income (PAD) of Kendari City
 The research method used is the documentation method. The research variables are retribution rates, realization and target of levy receipts, objects and subjects of retribution for waste transportation services and the amount of PAD revenues for the City of Kendari. The analytical tool used to determine the optimization of revenue from the waste transportation service fee and its role in increasing PAD in Kendari City is analysis of potential, efficiency, effectiveness and contribution analysis.
 The results showed that the potential receipt of fees for waste transportation services in Kendari City in 2010 amounted to Rp. 10,034,934,000; - with a mandatory collection of 27,461 units, the collection of fees was very efficient at 0.4% because the realization of revenue was quite large when compared to fees incurred.
 In 2010, the level of effectiveness in collecting fees for waste transportation services for Kendari City can be categorized as very low because the achievement is only 10% of the potential revenue of IDR 10,034,934,000 while the realization is only IDR 993,948,899.
 The contribution of waste transportation service fees to PAD in the last 5 years has averaged only 2% as well as regional fees of only 5.71%.
 The benefit to be achieved in this research is to become an academic contribution in developing public policy theory, especially with regard to implementation in the management of waste transportation service fees in an effort to increase Kendari City's own-source revenue (PAD). And operationally provide practical contributions or input for policy makers and implementers of financial management in the regions so that they can be used as material for evaluation and study of policies that are being implemented for the sake of improvement in the future.
