STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN OBJEK WISATA PANTAI PENIMBANGAN KABUPATEN BULELENG

The development of beach tourism can be utilized to encourage positive changes to the community's economy through employment opportunities, increasing income, and improving the quality of life of the community. This research was conducted at Penimbangan Beach, Bakti Seraga Village, Buleleng District. The potential attractions of Penimbangan Beach are diving, beach recreation, and swimming. Data collection to determine the condition of beach tourism through the carrying capacity of the area and development strategies carried out in February 2024. This study aims to determine the carrying capacity of the tourist attraction area and tourism development strategy of Penimbangan Beach. The method used is descriptive method with qualitative and quantitative approaches, and data analysis using SWOT analysis and DDK calculation. Based on the calculation of DDK on three tourist activities, namely diving as many as 2 people / day, beach recreation as many as 202.88 people / day, and swimming 30.72 people / day. The results of the SWOT analysis obtained an aggressive strategy, namely increasing visitor comfort while conducting tourism activities and preserving nature by educating visitors about the importance of maintaining cleanliness, increasing promotion through information media such as websites, videos, brochures, posters containing information about the beauty of the underwater and the benefits of black sand, adding facilities and infrastructure to increase the interest of tourist visits, and building tourism facilities.

EXPRESS: When the future feels closer than the past: An experimental research of nostalgia vs. forestalgia in destination ads

Nostalgia has been a powerful tool to attract travelers to visit tourism destinations. Compared to the extensive attention that nostalgia marketing has received, its counterpart of forestalgia (i.e., future-focused) marketing has received limited attention. The present research is one of the first to compare the effectiveness of nostalgia and forestalgia focused destination advertising messages in attracting travelers’ destination visit intention. Across three experimental studies based on 665 responses from U.S. travelers, the research finds that forestalgia focused destination ads are more effective in enticing travelers compared to nostalgia focused ones. The findings also reveal a significant mediating role of positive emotions and moderating roles of temporal distance and future time perspective. Our research sheds light on extant literature about nostalgia marketing, construal level theory, temporal Doppler effect, and rosy effect. Managerial implications are provided to assist destination management organizations in better capitalizing on both past and future-focused marketing communications.

Peran Word of Mouth Promotion Terhadap Keputusan Berkunjung Wisata Ke Desa Rancakalong: Survey Terdadap Wisatawan Domestik yang Berkunjung Wisata Ke Desa Rancakalong

Word of mouth is a type of promotion that can be carried out by every industry and every background, by doing promotion, it will make visitors interested and make a decision to visist if the informant conveys it attractively to the listeners. Word of mouth has five indicators, which are talkers, topics, tools, talkingpart, and tracking. The study analyzed word of mouth promotion as a variable X with visiting decisions as variable Y. This study aims to describe and detail the role of word of mouth promotion on the decision to visit tourism to Rancakalong Village. The type of research used is quantitative research with a descriptuve approach and this research is included in corralation research. This research uses a survey method with probability sampling method, with a total of 100 respondents who have visited Rancakalong Village. This study found that word of mouth promotion has a role in tourist visiting decisions and the media is efficient in implementing word of mouth promotion on visiting decisions. And tourists also agree that many tourists visit when an event is held in Rancakalong Village.

Human Impacts and Larger Geographic Area Explain the Highest Number of Non‐Native Species of Freshwater Fishes Into Brazilian Protected Area

ABSTRACTNon‐native species represent a significant threat to biodiversity, particularly in aquatic environments where they are often introduced for purposes such as fishing or the aquarium trade. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of isolation and the size of federal protected areas (PAs) on the number of non‐native and native freshwater fish species in Brazilian PAs. Data from Brazilian PAs were gathered, including year of creation, buffer of human impacts around the PA, PA categories, coverage by freshwater, tourist visits, sampling sites, geographical coordinates (predictor variables) and information on the number of non‐native and native freshwater fish species (response variables). Linear regression analysis was employed to examine the influence of predictor variables on the number of non‐native and native fish species. A total of 33 different non‐native fish species were identified, with Poecilia reticulata, Hyphessobrycon eques, Hoplias lacerda and Cichla kelberi being the most widespread, occurring in 15, 7, 5 and 4 distinct PAs, respectively. The overall fish biodiversity within PAs encompassed 2670 species, with the National Park of Anavilhanas and the Environmental Protection Area of Ilha e Várzea do Paraná exhibiting the highest species richness. Greater human impact, larger coverage by freshwater and increased sampling effort were positively correlated with the number of recorded non‐native species. Factors such as year of creation, type of PA and tourist visitation did not have a significant effect. In contrast, native species exhibited a higher number of occurrences in PAs with lower human impact, longer histories, larger freshwater coverage areas and more extensive sampling efforts. These findings underscore the necessity for comprehensive management strategies to mitigate the impact of non‐native species on biodiversity within PAs.

Komunikasi Pemasaran dalam Meningkatkan Kunjungan Wisatawan: Studi Kasus Wisata Jasmineparkind Kab. Tangerang

Marketing communication is a means by which companies inform, persuade and increase consumers directly or indirectly about the products, brands or services they sell. The aim of this research was to determine the marketing communications carried out by Jasminepark in increasing tourist visits and the obstacles and supporters in increasing tourist visits. This research uses the IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication) theory with 5 elements, namely advertising, sales promotion, public relations, personal selling, and direct marketing. This research used a descriptive qualitative method by interviewing 5 informants, namely, Jasminepark marketing, Jasminepark Supervisor, and 3 visitors. Data collection techniques used in research are interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that Jasminepark's marketing communications in increasing tourist visits use Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC). This increases the number of tourist visits to Jasmineparkind.

Pemanfaatan Media Promosi sebagai Sarana Pemasaran Pariwisata Festival Budaya Peh Cun di Kota Tangerang Tahun 2024

The Peh Cun Festival is one of the cultural traditions brought by ethnic Chinese who came to Indonesia, the Cisadane River Peh Cun Festival itself is one of the oldest festivals in Indonesia. This festival is one of the big and lively cultural tourism agendas because there are various interesting event activities presented, the Peh Cun media can be said to be lacking in terms of promotion, especially in promotion using existing digital media. So, promotions need to be carried out to increase the number of tourist visits. This study aims to determine how to utilize effective Promotional Media in Marketing the Peh Cun Cultural Festival in Tangerang City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques using interviews, observations and documentation. The results of the study show that the Tourism Communication used by the Boen Tek Bio Association in promoting the 2024 Peh Cun Festival includes Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC). This implementation can be seen from the use of Print Media, Outdoor Media, Electronic Media and Content on Social Media. Inhibiting factors in the 2024 Peh Cun Festival activities are time constraints and natural factors, while supporting factors include full support from the City Government, local television and radio stations, surrounding communities, and the local community.

The Waste Management System in the Parking and Traders Arrangement in the Borobudur Temple Area, Central Java, Indonesia

The Indonesian government continues to accelerate the resolution of all problems related to the planning, infrastructure development, and arrangement of tourist visits, including the arrangement of parking spaces and commercial areas in the Borobudur temple area. The purpose of this study is to develop a waste management system in the parking and commercial areas of Kujon as an alternative to structuring the Borobudur temple area. The research method is a descriptive-qualitative observational approach. Surface water and groundwater examinations are carried out in laboratories and compared with quality criteria determined by the Indonesian government. Toxic and hazardous waste is stored in temporary facilities until it is collected by a company licensed by the Indonesian environmental ministry. The Shannon-Wiener Plankton and Benthos Diversity Index measures the diversity of organisms in a community. The study’s findings highlight the need to establish a waste processing facility based on the reduction, reuse, and recycling principles. Waste will be collected at a certain site and stored temporarily in line with the technical instructions for the Minister of Environment and Forestry’s Regulation. The findings of surface water and groundwater studies demonstrate that all measured parameters continue to meet the Indonesian government’s quality thresholds. Plankton Bioindicator Measurements: Plankton diversity index values range from 1.040 to 1.943, indicating moderate pollution, while benthos values range from 0.811 to 0.918, indicating weakly to moderately contaminated conditions. Sustainable environmental management is critical and should serve as a baseline for environmental quality in the activity area.

Analisis Komunikasi Pariwisata Disbudpar Kota Tangerang dalam Event Pariwisata Festival Cisadane 2024

The Cisadane Festival is an annual event organised with the aim of preserving culture in Tangerang City. This festival is one of the large and lively tourist agendas because there are various interesting events presented. Thus, it needs to be promoted to increase the number of tourist visits. This research aims to analyse and find out how the Tourism Communication of the Tangerang City Culture and Tourism Office in promoting the Cisadane Festival held in Tangerang City, as well as to examine the obstacles that exist in the promotion process carried out. This research uses the theory of integrated marketing communication, with the method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that tourism communication used by Disbudpar Tangerang City in promoting the Cisadane Festival integrated the promotion mix. This can be seen from the utilisation of various types of media: print media such as Live magazine and Kota Benteng newspaper, outdoor media such as banners and billboards, and electronic media which includes online media coverage and social media content. Barriers to promotional activities are due to marketing budget factors, urgent event readiness, and the lack of optimisation of the Tangerang Live service application.

The promotion and marketing efforts by the Tourism Office of Karimun Regency aim to introduce and effectively promote local tourist destinations to both domestic and international visitors. According to a previous study by Andriani (2020), the development of tourist sites in Karimun Regency has not yet been fully realized by the local government. This research aims to reexamine and optimize Karimun's tourism potential through programs implemented by the Tourism Office, supporting local economic changes. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, gathering data through interviews with informants, field notes, and relevant official documents. It focuses on examining the promotion strategies carried out by the Tourism Office to increase tourist visits. Based on Kooten's theory, there are four strategic indicators: organizational strategy, program organization, resource support strategy, and institutional strategy. The research results show that all strategic indicators have been implemented well in accordance with funding from the center, providing a positive impact on the development of tourist destinations and increasing the number of tourists who come to visit tourist attractions in Karimun district. However, if funding is not in accordance with the annual plan, the program that has been prepared by the marketing and promotion division will have an impact, hampering efforts to increase tourist visits from both inside and outside Karimun Regency.

Information Technology Transformation to Support Economic Activities: A Case Study of Bukit Peramun Digital Forest

Bukit Peramun, located in Air Selumar Village, Belitung Regency, has been managed by the Arsel Community since 2006. In 2017, it was established as the Bukit Peramun Digital Forest ecotourism destination. This research aims to analyze the impact of information technology transformation at Bukit Peramun Digital Forest on economic activities, particularly for the local community. This study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach through observation and interviews with purposively selected informants. In 2017, the implemented information technology was QR Codes on trees. Then, from 2020 to 2022, the technology was enhanced by integrating virtual reality and augmented reality, including features like Tour 360, the Tree Recognition application, and an online reservation system through peramun.com. The results show that the information technology transformation at Bukit Peramun Digital Forest improved management efficiency and tourist experiences. Although there was a decline in revenue, foreign tourist visits showed an increase. The technological transformation also helped control visitor numbers, which positively impacted environmental conservation, with more efficient service quality and management.

Antecedents of smart tourism destination perceived attractiveness and behavioral intention for digital natives

In order to achieve high levels of satisfaction from the digital native generation, tourism destinations must adapt to how they interact and present content that matches their technological preferences. This study aims to measure the perception of STD attractiveness for digital natives by exploring antecedent factors and their impact on intentional behavior. This study uses a quantitative approach. The data was collected by distributing online questionnaires with sample aged 18 to 41 years who have traveled by involving the process of transactions, bookings, and searching for information digitally in the last 1 year. 318 responses were collected that were considered adequate for further processing in the analysis process. Measurements were made using the SEM-PLS technique. The study has found that digital natives view of interactivity and digital security can influence their assessment of STD attractiveness. This study model partially explains some of the factors that make up STD values and their relationship to intentional behavior. This study can consider strategies for strengthening digital interaction and security in the context of STDs for DMOs to build the attractiveness of destinations to attract tourist visits. This study provides a more specialized perspective by focusing on assessing digital natives as the main opinion.

DESCRIPTIVE ANALYSIS OF LOCAL FOOD CONSUMPTION VALUE IN WEST SUMATRA (SURVEY ON DOMESTIC TOURISTS)

This research aims to determine domestic tourists' assessment of local food value in West Sumatra. The local food consumption value variable consists of 7 subvariables, namely quality value, health value, price value, emotional value, prestige value, interaction value and epistemic value that is felt when domestic tourists visit West Sumatra. The research method used is descriptive analysis by measuring each sub-variable. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with the criteria being that the respondent was 17 years old. The total sample was 193 respondents. The research results reveal that the sub-variable quality value is perceived by domestic tourists as local food that provides high-quality raw materials and that local food has high quality standards. In the health value sub-variable, domestic tourists give a high assessment that local food restaurants provide food that is safe for health and prices are commensurate with the value of the money spent. In the emotional value subvariable, domestic tourists stated that they were very impressed with local food because it tasted delicious and spicy. In the prestige value variable, respondents stated that by eating local culinary delights they would share this experience with other people by showing their photos. Likewise with the interaction value subvariable, they agreed that by enjoying local culinary delights, respondents felt it was easier to interact with other people. In the epistemic value subvariable, respondents considered that local food provided an opportunity to learn about the local culture of West Sumatra.

Integrasi Inovasi Digital, Kearifan Lokal dan Peran Pemerintah dalam Membangun Pariwisata Berkelanjutan di Kalimantan Utara

This study focuses on integrating digital innovation, local wisdom, and the role of government in developing sustainable tourism in North Kalimantan. Sustainable tourism development is vital to balance economic growth, environmental conservation, and socio-cultural sustainability. Through literature analysis and case study evaluation, this study identifies the potential of tourist villages, digital tourism innovation, and the role of local wisdom in strengthening tourism appeal in this region. The study results indicate that digital innovation such as Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and mobile applications can improve tourism experiences and bring exciting new possibilities for local community involvement. In addition, the role of the government in providing policies, infrastructure, and local community empowerment programs is critical in supporting this integration. This study concludes that the synergy between digital innovation, local wisdom, and government policies can create a sustainable tourism ecosystem, increase tourist visits, and promote cultural and environmental preservation in North Kalimantan. Recommended development strategies include the development of an integrated digital platform, local community training, collaboration in events and promotions, implementation of conservation practices, and strengthening the role of local government.

ARCHITECTURE OF SMART TOURISM APPLICATION: A DEVELOPING COUNTRIES’ PERSPECTIVE A CASE STUDY IN INDONESIA

Beautiful, comfortable, safe, and affordable tourist attractions are every tourist's dream. Meanwhile, tourism in developing countries, the authenticity and uniqueness of nature and culture are the main attractions for tourists. The lack of accurate information that can accommodate tourist locations, local culture, unique tourism, transportation, and accommodation of a tourist attraction for developing countries is an obstacle to the success of tourist visits. The role of technology and society can help the concept of smart tourism governance for developing countries. Therefore, a framework model is needed that can explore the advantages of tourism in developing countries. The success of Smart Tourism cannot be separated from the development of the application architecture that is used as the basis for developing the Smart Tourism system application. So, the purpose of this study is to create an informative, accurate, safe, and easy smart tourism application architecture. This study uses a qualitative method, namely with literature studies and in-depth interviews were also conducted with tourism and informatics experts. The Mc Farlan Matrix used in the Ward and Peppard method and the TOGAF framework are used in the formation of smart tourism applications. The results of this study are The results of this study are in the form of an application architecture that focuses on stakeholder interests in the form of Smart Tourism Service Application Architecture for various Stakeholders which is an integration of smart tourism organization, smart destination, smart service, smart decision, smart share, smart experience, smart recommendation.

Implikasi Perlindungan Pengunjung Wisata Sawah Padi di Desa Taman Sampang Berbasis Legal Education terhadap Peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Desa

The tourism potential in the Sampang Regency area is very good, one of which is rice tourism in Ataman village. Padi tourism offers beautiful views with typical village culinary attractions. However, in rice tourism there are still problems such as visitors not respecting the cultural values ​​and beliefs of the local community and managers also do not have tourist regulations. Therefore, this results in a decrease in tourist visitors so that the contribution of PADes automatically decreases. The research method used is empirical juridical research with a field study approach. Data collection in this research uses several methods including interviews, observation and literature search. The research location is Taman Village, Jrengik District, Sampang Regency. The data analysis method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. The results of research during the MBKM KKNT show that the management of Rice Fields Tourism in Taman Village is still not well organized, considering that the management pattern of facilities and infrastructure is still lacking, especially the management does not have rules for tourist visitors, so tourism is quite quiet so that PADes decreases. Therefore, the MBKM KKNT program created a legal education program regarding the protection of tourist visitors within the framework of preventive protection. The results are quite satisfactory from the results of the socialization showing that understanding of village officials, tourism managers, the community and tourist visitors has increased, especially understanding of the substance of the Tourism Law and the Village Law. Apart from that, the management makes rules for issuing visitors based on statutory regulations and the management is improved gradually, so that tourist visitors will gradually increase and the Village Paddy will automatically increase and this will all make the Taman Village community prosperous.

Event Concept Planning Based on Marine Tourism in Mallasoro Village, Jeneponto Regency

This study aims to identify the potential of marine tourism and design an event concept that can enhance the welfare of the local community in Mallasoro Village, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) assessed the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats involved in developing the event concept. The analysis reveals that Mallasoro Village has significant strengths, including natural beauty, a strong local culture, and community support. However, challenges were identified, such as inadequate infrastructure and limited tourism promotion. Opportunities include the growing interest in marine tourism and regional government support through policies and capacity-building programs. Threats, such as climate change affecting beach and ocean conditions and competition with other destinations in South Sulawesi, must be anticipated. With proper planning, Mallasoro Village has the potential to become a leading marine tourism destination by developing Leisure Events and Cultural Events that incorporate diverse attractions and innovative programs, including sports, tours, education, workshops, exhibitions, culinary festivals, and sustainable marine conservation activities. These efforts can increase tourist visits while strengthening environmental awareness.

Super Priority Destination Mandalika: Quality of Sport Tourism Services

Sports tourism is here to provide added value for the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of destinations in an area which has implications for increasing the number of visitors. In Indonesia, there are several regions that promote sports tourism to boost tourist visits and the regional economy, including NTB Province with Mandalika. Mandalika has now become a super priority destination in NTB Province and the center of attention in the development of sports tourism. To ensure this development runs well, it is necessary to understand the factors that influence the quality of service in this destination. Therefore, this research is needed to assess the quality of sport tourism services in Mandalika. The data collection technique uses scraping and crawling then creates a questionnaire and the results are analyzed using statistical tests. The results of the analysis show that event management has the most significant influence on the perception of service quality at sports event destinations with an influence of 97.7%. Besides that, the importance of event management in improving service quality, destination managers must utilize social media and online advertising as an effective marketing strategy and collaborate with sports influencers to increase tourist interest and participation.

The Impact of Designating a Sports Area in Sena Village, Batang Kuis District, Deli Serdang Regency on Regional Development

This study examines the impact of designating a sports area in Sena Village, Batang Kuis District, Deli Serdang Regency, on local regional development. The development of a sports area has significant potential to drive local economic growth, improve the quality of life for residents, and create new job and business opportunities. The study aims to identify the extent to which the presence of the sports area influences various aspects of regional development, including infrastructure, economy, and socio-cultural dynamics. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through field observations, interviews with various stakeholders, including local residents, regional government officials, and local business owners, as well as relevant literature reviews. Additionally, data analysis was conducted to understand the relationship between the development of the sports area and its impact on regional development. The results indicate that the designation of the sports area in Sena Village has had a significant positive impact on regional development. Infrastructure around the area has improved, including roads, transportation, and public facilities that support accessibility to the sports area. Economic impact is evident from the increase in local tourist visits, which has led to higher incomes for the community, especially in the small and medium enterprise sectors. Furthermore, the sports area has contributed to an increase in social and cultural activities within the community, with numerous sports events and festivals held regularly.

The impact of foreign direct investments on the increase in the number of visitors in tourism - Case study Republic of Kosovo

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a significant role in the Republic of Kosovo's economy, namely in the tourist sector. The primary goal of this research is to examine the impact of FDI on the increase in the number of tourist visits (NTV), as well as the trend of NTV and government spending on recreation, culture, and religion in the Republic of Kosovo. The results demonstrate that NTV increased in Kosovo between 2008 and 2022, however this increase was not consistent. The most pronounced growth was in 2021 compared to 2020, at approximately 133%, while the most pronounced decline in NTV was in 2020 compared to 2019, at -46%. From 2008 to 2022, the FDI trend was the highest in 2022, when the value of FDI reached 778.2 million euros, while the government's expenditures in the fields of recreation, culture, and religion were the highest in 2021, at approximately 61 million euros. Empirical analysis indicates that FDI has positively impacted the expansion of NTV in Kosovo, with a β parameter of 0.41. The report suggests that state officials adopt more sustainable and effective policies that will result in higher FDI, government tourism spending, and NTV in Kosovo. A sustainable FDI policy for the tourism industry will have an impact not only on tourism, but also on other tourism-related businesses. Furthermore, a critical appraisal is required in Kosovo to improve tourism performance and regional economic development, among other things.
