The Effect of E-WOM and Brand Image on Purchase Intention to Buy Samsung Phones with E-Satisfaction as a Moderation Variable in State One, Students of Feb USU Medan

This study uses E-Satisfaction as a moderator to identify and examine the effects of E-WOM and brand image on purchase intention. The primary data was collected directly from the 105 respondents who made up the sample. The sampling technique combines both the non-probability sampling technique and the Slovin sampling approach. Quantitative analysis methods were used to investigate survey responses from respondents, and SPSS was used as the analytical tool. Brand image does not significantly affect purchase intentions, but E-WOM and E-Satisfaction do, according to the study’s findings. The association between E-WOM and purchase intentions is likewise moderated by e-satisfaction, whereas the link between brand image and purchases is not moderated by e-satisfaction. The Fungal Development During The Leaf Litter Process Decomposition of Avicennia marina

The existence of mangrove ecosystems decreases from land conversion into residential areas, industries, plantations, road facilities and the construction of ponds. This research was conducted in the mangrove forest area of Secanang Belawan Village, Medan, at the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Department of Forestry, Faculty of Agriculture, USU and at the Microbiology Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, USU Medan. The study's objective was to identify the different fungal species that were present at 10 ppt salinity levels, 10–20 ppt, and 20–30 ppt as well as the pace at which Avicennia marina leaf litter. The research method used litter bags filled with leaf litter of Avicennia marina (50 g) with 7 treatments, 3 replications and 3 levels of salinity. The A. marina leaf litter that had a salt level of 10 ppt had the highest level of decomposition. The dry weight of leaf litter left in the litter bag, which is 4.92 g on average. The largest dry weight of the remaining litter was found in an environment with a salinity of 20 – 30 ppt, which is an average of 10.42 g. The rate of decomposition of A. marina leaf litter in an environment with a salt level greater than 30 ppt is 6.53/yr (or almost equal to residence period of = 0.15 yr). The number of fungal species discovered in the leaf litter of A. marina, which goes through a breakdown process at salinity levels between 0 and 10 ppt and contains 9 species, is another way to observe the impact of salt level. In comparison to the large at salinity levels of 10 to 20 ppt and 20 to 30 ppt, respectively, there were populations of fungus that underwent the process of decomposition in A. marina leaf litter, with an average of 5.99 x 102 cfu/ml and 5.5 x 102 cfu/ml, the fungal population that was the highest concentration was 10.72 x 102 cfu/ml

Implementasi Kebijakan Proses Perencanaan Dan Penganggaran Pada Biro Sistem Informasi, Perencanaan Dan Pengembangan Universitas Sumatera Utara Medan

This study aims to determine and analyze the Implementation of Planning and Budgeting Process Policies at the Information Systems Bureau, Planning and Development of the University of North Sumatra Medan and to find out what factors are the obstacles / obstacles in the Implementation of the Planning and Budgeting Process Policy at the Bureau of Information Systems, Planning and Development, University of North Sumatra Medan. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, with research informants being the Head of Bureau, Head of Section, Head of Subdivision and Staff at the Bureau of Information Systems, Planning and Development, University of North Sumatra, Medan. The theory used is George C Edward III's public policy theory. The results of this study indicate that the Planning and Budgeting Process Policy Implementation at the Information Systems, Planning and Development Bureau has been implemented but has not achieved optimal results. The success of policy implementation needs to be supported by the authority and SOP for Planning and Budgeting at the Information Systems, Planning and Development Bureau at USU Medan. The factors that influence the Implementation of Planning and Budgeting Policies at the Bureau of Information Systems, Planning and Development of the University of North Sumatra are communication, disposition, resources, and bureaucratic structure. Good communication distribution and good coordination between leadership and staff are needed in order to produce a good implementation, therefore it is recommended to issue a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for planning and budgeting process policies in order to provide optimal results in the planning and budgeting process.

The Effect Of Utilization Of Information Systems On Work Plans And Budgets On Employee Performance With Ease Of Use And Satisfaction Of Information System Users As Moderating Variables (Empiris Study at Universitas Sumatera Utara)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the ease of work plan and budget information systems on improving the quality of development human resources, the influence of satisfaction with the use of work plan information systems and budgets on improving the quality of development human resources, and the effect of application, ease and satisfaction of using work plan information systems and budget simultaneously to improve the quality of Human Resources Development. The research method used is quantitative method with data collection techniques by literature study, observation, and interviews and is supported by data collection tools, namely interview guidelines and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the application of information systems has a positive and significant impact on the quality of human resources development at USU Medan; The ease of using the information system has a positive and significant impact on the quality of human resources development at USU Medan; Information system user satisfaction has a positive and significant impact on the quality of human resources development at USU Medan; and the application of information systems, ease of use of information systems and satisfaction of information system users together have a positive and significant impact on the development of the quality of human resources in the development of USU Medan.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2nd International Conference on Science and Technology Applications (ICoSTA2020) were held in the virtual laboratory (online) by zoom platform. ICoSTA 2020 held in Medan City – Indonesia on 3 November 2020 and presents 4 distinguised invited speakers, Prof. Jakrapong Kaewkhao from NPRU - Thailand, Prof. Dr. Hendro Tjahyono, M. Sc from Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Anitawati Mohd Lokman from UiTM Selangor Malaysia, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriprapa Kaewjaeng from Chiang Mai University. In addition, presenters come from various Government and Private Universities, Institutions, Academy, and Schools. Some of them are researcher from National Atomic Energy Agency (BATAN), Malaysia, Iraq, Unsyah, UNP, USU, University of Indonesia Jakarta, IPB-Bogor, Institut Technology Bandung, Universitas Negeri Malang, Universitas Brawijaya, UPI, BMKG, Abdurrab University, ITS Surabaya, USU Medan, UGM Yogyakarta, Ministry of Communications and Informatics – Indonesia, Research Center of Tekmira, Ministry of ESDM Indonesia, those who have sat and will sit in the oral defence examination. The additional information, there are 47 institutions including from national and international were interested and get involved in this conference.The conference session was devided into three sessions, including opening ceremony, keynote speeches session, and oral presentations. Opening ceremony began from chairman report, Director of Postgraduate School foreword and Opening speech from Rector of Universitas Negeri Medan with a time slot is 5 minutes respectively. The second session, keynote speaker presents their phenomenal research were allocated 40 minutes each presenter including with question and answer (Q/A). The third session is parallel sessions with oral presentations by scholars, researchers and lecturers one by one during 15 minutes per presenter including with Q/A. There are 10 virtual rooms designed for parallel session with average occupance 16 presenter. Each room parallel is guided by an moderator and operator.There are 260 papers received by commitee who insert via submission management system. All paper submitted were filtered by editor ICoSTA conference and selected 160 papers for presented in oral presentation. The articles have been peer reviewed with double blind by reviewers and decided by editor. Effectiveness of Progressive Muscle Relaxation on The Complete Opening Time during Normal Labor

BACKGROUND: The pain feeling and pain are a very frightening condition for the mother while undergoing labor. The fluency in undergoing childbirth is influenced by the mother’s ability to manage labor pain. Good pain management will improve the ability of mothers to undergo labor with good collaboration and speed up the process of complete opening time. The non-pharmacological method used to reduce labor pain intensity is a progressive muscle relaxation technique. Interventions are carried out with movements that combine deep breathing exercises when the muscles are relaxed. This research is a descriptive study using a quasi-experimental approach using two groups, namely, the intervention group and the control group.
 AIM: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation techniques on reducing pain. The number of samples used was 30 people with accidental sampling technique.
 MATERIALS AND METHODS: Research sites in USU Medan Hospitals and maternity clinics. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire, which consisted of two parts, namely, demographic data and complete opening time (opening 10 cm). Data analysis was performed using independent sample t-test.
 RESULTS: Results with significance p < 0.05. The results showed that the intervention with progressive muscle relaxation techniques at the time I could accelerate the complete opening time (opening 10 cm) in the intervention group.
 CONCLUSION: Intervention using progressive muscle relaxation techniques is expected to be applied as an intervention in the management of labor pain and speed up the opening process.

Cost of Illness Analysis and Quality of Life in Ischemic Stroke Patients In Usu Medan Hospital

Objective: aims to evaluate the COI INA-CBG BPJS patients hospitalized for ischemic stroke BPJS (n = 33) at USU Medan Hospital in February 2019-August 2019 period.
 Design: this study was conducted used a prospective cohort study method in patients with ischemic stroke (n = 33) in USU Hospital.
 Interventions: the intervened variable were the cost of patient therapy and calculating the difference in claims of INA-CBGs with the cost of patient therapy.
 Main outcome measures: the main measurement in this study was quality of life with European Quality of Life - 5 Dimensions Three Level (EQ5D3L).
 Results: the results of this study indicate the total average cost of ischemic stroke inpatient therapy at the In patient Installation of USU Hospital in Medan obtained Rp 2,284,854 The average cost / rate incurred by the Hospital for ischemic stroke patients (n = 33) is still below the INA-CBGs claim rate. There was a relationship between the quality of life of ischemic stroke patients with diagnosis and comorbidities of patients (p = 0.004). The average quality of life (QoL) of ischemic stroke patients was obtained 0.7324 ± 0.2118.
 Conclusion: it could be concluded that the quality of life of ischemic stroke patients is classified as good 32 patients (96.96%).
 

The improvement of infants exclusive breastfeeding through the intervention of DC motor vibratory (DMV) to postpartum mother in USU Medan hospital

To determine the effect of DMV on the success of exclusive breastfeeding. This research is a quasi-experimental with control group design. The sample of this study was 76 postpartum mothers each in the intervention 38 and control groups 38. The instruments used were demographic data and exclusive breastfeeding. The intervention was DMV which was carried out for postpartum mothers for 6 months. Data analysis uses independent t-test. The results showed that an increase in exclusive breastfeeding for postpartum mothers through the DMV program in Medan City, p=0.03 (p<0.05) with a mean intervention of 5.55, SD 0.82 and a mean control of 5.13, SD 0.83. The intervention of exclusive breastfeeding is very important to increase the amount of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers. This intervention is expected to be carried out regularly in the community.

The heavy metal of cuprum (Cu) and lead(Pb) content in Avicennia marina and Rhizophora mucranata

Various types of mangrove plants found in coastal areas have a specific strategy to deal with pollution conditions from heavy metals. One of the several strategies used by mangroves is by accumulating various kinds of heavy metals in various parts of the tree. Most species of mangroves such as Avicennia marina, Rhizophora mucronata, Sonneratia caseolaris, Bruguiera gymnorhyza and others apply this strategy. Avicennia marina and Rhizophora mucronata are pioneer mangrove species that are able to accumulate heavy metals in the roots, stems and leaves. These species are also act as indicator of the sustainability of mangrove ecosystems. The presence of heavy metals will reduce water quality subsequently will decline the overall condition of the ecosystem. How big is the ability of Avicenia marina and Rhizopohora mucronata mangroves to absorb copper (Cu) and Lead (Pb) metals and how the conditions of the aquatic environment surrounding mangroves during heavy metal stress are need to be studied. Analysis of Cu and Pb heavy metals contents were carried out at the Chemistry Laboratory of the USU Medan Pharmacy Faculty. The mangrove species used for the analysis of Cu and Pb heavy metals were A.marina and R. mucronata that grew in Muara Sungai coastal areas from April to August 2018. The results showed heavy metal content of Cu was greater than Pb in wire roots, stems and leaves of A. marina trees. Analysis of roots, leaves and bark of R. mucronata also found greater content of Cu heavy metals than Pb.

Service Quality Towards Bank Customer Loyalty (Empirical Study at BNI USU Medan)

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality on customer loyalty at PT. BNI (Persero), Tbk USU Medan. This study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory type of research. The sample were 120 respondents and processed statistically using simple linear regression method. The results show that service quality positively has a significant effect on customer loyalty. These findings indicate that good service quality will encourage the interest of customers to conduct transactions continuously and repeatedly in the present and future in a bank.

The influence of the composition of biodiversal fertilizers plant vegetative soybean plant (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) in inceptisol

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merril) is a food commodity containing the highest vegetable protein among nuts and cereals. Fertilizer is a material that contains living microorganisms from microbes in the soil. This study aims to determine the effect of biological fertilizer composition on soybean plant height (Glycine max (L) Merrill) on inceptisol. This research has been conducted experimental USU Medan experiment. This research uses Non-Factorial Factorial Random Design. Control Treatment (T0): Giving N2 = 1.85 gr / polybag, basic fertilizer application on P2O5 = 3.09 gr / polybag and K2O = 1.85 gr / polybag. Treatment (T1): Mycorrhiza (M) 20 g / plant + basic fertilizer, Treatment (T2) Rhizobium (R) 20 ml / plant. Treatment (T3): Trichoderma sp. 20 ml / plant. Treatment (T4): inoculum Aspergillus sp. 20 ml + Provision of basic fertilizer, Treatment (T5): Giving Mycorrhiza 20 gr / plant (M) + Rhizobium (R) + inoculum of Aspergillus sp. 20 ml. Treatment (T6) Giving Aspergillus sp. + Rhizobium (R) + Trichoderma 20 ml + basic fertilizer. Treatment (T7) Giving Mycorrhiza (M) + inoculum of Aspergillus sp. + Trichoderma 20 ml + base fertilizer. Treatment (T8) Giving Mycorrhiza 20 gr + Rhizobium + Trichoderma sp. + inoculum Aspergillus sp. 20 ml + basic fertilizer. Observed Variables: Plant Height and Weight of root nodule. The result of research indicate that T8 treatment is the best treatment in increasing plant height that is 55.17 cm and highest root nodule weight that is 7.43 gr, the lowest in the treatment of T0 plant height is 45.83 cm and treatment of root nodule weight 4.96 gr.

KADAR D-DIMER PLASMA DI STROK ISKEMIK AKUT

Ischemic stroke is a clinical sign of brain dysfunction or tissue damage caused by lack of blood flow to the brain that disrupts theblood and oxygen requirements in the brain tissue. In Indonesia, stroke is the third ranks after heart disease and malignancy. The promptdiagnosis can reduce morbidity and mortality. CT-scan is the gold standard, but it has some limitations that are difficult to recognize theearly signs of ischemia on the first day and the cost of the related treatment is expensive. Because of these limitations, such case requireanother sign that is noninvasive, sensitive, specific, easier and cheaper to detect the presence of thrombus while the cause of ischemicstroke is D-dimer. This study was design to know the diagnostic value of plasma levels of D-dimer of the CT-scan in acute ischemic strokeby determination. A cross-sectional study was conducted, where forty patients with inclusion criteria were taken from The NeurologyDepartment. The research was done at the Department of Clinical Pathology RSUP.H.Adam Malik/FK USU Medan. CT-scan as the goldstandard for the D-dimer examination Plasma levels of D-dimer using latex agglutination method with a cut-off 500/mL. Statisticalanalysis using a 2í—2 table to determine the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, prevalence and thelikelihood ratio. The result found were as follows: sensitivity 77.7%, specificity 53.8%, positive predictive value 77.7%, negative predictivevalue 53.8%, prevalence 67.5%, likelihood ratio positive 1.74 and the likelihood ratio negative 0.43. Based on this study, the level plasmaD-dimer could possibly can be used as an exclusion diagnostic in acute ischemic stroke case.

FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI NASABAH UNTUK MENABUNG PADA PT. BNI (PERSERO) Tbk, CABANG USU MEDAN

PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch is one of the government-owned enterprises. The bank collects funds from the public in the form of demand deposits, savings deposits, and channel it back in the form of credit. In this study, the authors focus on research for deposits. Number of clients who deposit funds in 2009-2010 has decreased. From the description formulated the research problem is "what is the most dominant factor influencing customers to save money on PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch?" The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the most dominant factor influencing customers to save money on PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch. Benefits of the research is to provide material information to the leadership of the bank's most dominant factor influencing customers to save money. The study population was all clients are saving money on deposit with the PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch in 2010. The samples taken as many as 125 people. Required data were collected through questionnaires and documentation techniques. &#x0D; Data analysis technique used was factor analysis. Based on the discussion, figures obtained by KMO Measure of Sampling Adeguacy (MSA) of 0.899 is above 0.50, with a significance of 0.000, then the appropriate variables for further analysis. Scree plot showing the chart, in which of the factor 1 to factor 2 (component source line number = 1 to 2), the line dropped sharply. Then from the number 2 to number 4, the direction of the line decreases with a smaller slope. The fifth factor was in the bottom of the Y-axis numbers (eigenvalues). &#x0D; This suggests that four factors best to summarize the twenty-five factors that influence the customer to save money. Before the rotation, the twenty-five variables that affect the customer to save money on PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch is not clear where the factor a, then the necessary rotation. After rotation, the twenty-five variables are clearly factors which enter into. The dominant factor influencing customers to save money in the form of time deposits at PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch with correlation values above 0.75 is the backlog of the correlation value of 0.782; deposit with a correlation value of 0.774; handling of customer complaints with correlation values of 0.756 and lucky draws with a correlation value of 0.751 . Of the four factors, the most dominant influence customers to save money is a backlog. Advice given to the leadership of the bank is better, the bank maintains customer order backlog increasing number of clients. To attract people to save in the form of deposits, the bank should increase the rates of time deposits, pay attention to the handling of customer complaints and increase the types of lottery.

Facial Profile Of Bataknese Based On Nose, Lips And Chin Proportions

Introduction: The success of orthodontic treatment is often associated with the improvement of facial appearance. Soft tissues of the nose, lips and chin are important factors in determining the beauty of the face. The aim of this study was to determine the facial profile of the Bataknese based on the proportion of soft tissue facial components such as nose, lips and chin. Materials and Methods: This research was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The samples of this research consists of 48 Batak tribe students in FKG USU Medan. This research was carried out by using 48 lateral cephalometry obtained from Batak tribe students who fit the inclusion criteria.Determination of soft tissue facial profile was carried out with Skinazi method. Results: The mean proportion results obtained from the soft tissue facial components of the nose was 64.41%, upper lip 13.79%, lower lip 14.80% and chin 6.86%. The results showed soft tissue facial profile obtained descriptively from the Bataknese were highest in nose proportion followed by lower lip, upper lip and the smallest were chin proportion. Large proportion of the nose and small proportion of chin showed that facial profile of the Bataknese were convex. The results of t- test and Mann Whitney analysis of nose, upper lip, lower lip and chin proportion showed there were no difference between male and female (p&gt;0.05). Conclusion(s): The findings of this research showed that the soft tissue facial profile based on nose, lips and chin propotions in male and female from Batak tribe were convex.

Effectivity of Dental Health Education on Knowledge and Plaque Score of Junior High School Students

Alumni No.2 Kampus USU Medan Email: gemanazriyanti@yahoo.com Abstract Background: World Health Organization (WHO) recommend the school children as an appropriate group to promote dental health education in order to maintain their oral hygiene. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectivity of dental health education on knowledge and plaque score of junior high school students in Medan City. Methods: This study was an experimental study with pre and post test group design. Population was all students of SMP Negeri I. The sample were 208 students taken purposively from I and II grade which inclusion criteria are cooperative and not using fixed orthodontic appliance. Knowledge score was measured using questionnaire and plaque score was measured using Loe and Sillness Plaque index. Knowledge and plaque score were measured before, after and a week after dental health education. Data were analyzed by using ANOVA. Results: The result shows that students who have knowledge before dental health education was only 4.8% in good category, meanwhile after dental health education the good category was increased into 97.1%, even though after a week there is 93.2% still in good category. There was a significant differences of knowledge before the score was 52.84 ± 12.74, after 94.73± 10.05 and a week after dental health education it became 94.24 ± 9.90 (p<0.05). The plaque score before dental health education in good category was 60.2%, after dental health education was increased into 97.1% and a week after dental health education was 88.3%. There was significant differences of plaque score before 0.87 ± 0.52, after 0.29 ± 0.28 and a week after dental health education 0.42 ± 0.43 (p<0.05). Conclusion: dental health education in junior high school students is effective in improving student’s knowledge and decreasing plaque score. PEMBERIAN BAHAN ORGANIK DAN JENIS AIR PENYIRAM TERHADAP SIFAT FISIK TANAH ULTISOL DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN ROSELLA (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.)

ABSTRACTThe objective of this research is to know the effect of the application of organic matter and kinds ofwater used on the physical characteristic of Ultisol and growth of Rosella plant(Hibiscus sabdariffa L). The research was conducted at compost centre, the screen house, and atChemistry and Fertility Laboratory, Research and Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture,USU Medan from May until November 2012. The design used was randomized block design(RBD) which consits of 2 (two) factors, Factor 1: Organic Matter (M) with 4 types: M0 = control,M1 = Ultisol 90% + shell 5% + compost of dust 5% , M2 = Ultisol 90% + shell 5% + compost ofstubbles 5% , M3 = Ultisol 90% + shell 5% + compost of corn 5%. Factor 2: Kinds of water used(A) with 3 (three) levels: A0 = water, A1 = the iron of water, A2 = urine, and 2 (two) replication tomeet 24 experimental units. The result of this research showed that organic matter decreased bulkdensity, increased of growth plant but did not effect the content of soil water level and productionof Rosella plant, kind of water increased soil water level but did not effect descrease bulk density,growth and production of Rosella plant and interaction of both treatmets increased growth of plantas 3 MST but did not affect physical characteristic of Ultisol and production of Rosella plant.Keywords: chemical property of ultisol, organic matter, kind of water used, and productionof rosella plant
