UTIS 통신망을 활용한 보험상품 개발에 관한 연구(II)

본 논문에서는 기존 보험사들의 UBI(: Usage Based Insurance) 상품에서는 운전성향에 관한 다양한 데이타를 분석하거나 보험가입자 또는 보험사가 운행기록을 실시간 확인(모니터링)하는 수단으로서 텔레매틱스나 디지털 운행기록장치와 같은 첨단장치를 활용한다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 무선통신 인프라 기능을 수행하고 있는 도시교통정보시스템(UTIS : Urban Traffic Information System)을 활용하여 PAYD, PHYD 및 MHYD등의 보험 상품을 연계하는 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. UTIS 시스템과 차량 운행기록 장치를 활용하여 운전자 성향을 분석하였다. In this paper, The UBI(: Usage Based Insurance) insurance products for existing and analyze a variety of data pertaining to the operation or disposition or utilization of advanced telematics devices, such as digital recording device operates as a means to identify the insured or the insurer operates in real time recording (monitoring). Therefore, this study performs a city in wireless communication infrastructure functions Traffic Information System : leverage(UTIS : Urban Traffic Information System) and to develop a system that linked insurance products, such as PAYD, PHYD and MHYD. Utilizing the UTIS systems and analyze the driver's vehicle driving recorder tendencies.

Real‐time estimation of travel speed using urban traffic information system and filtering algorithm

Travel speed is an important parameter for measuring road traffic. urban traffic information system (UTIS) was developed as a mobile detector for measuring link travel speeds in South Korea. However, UTIS incur errors, such as those caused by irregular vehicle trajectories and communication delays. This study describes an algorithm developed for estimating reliable and accurate average roadway link travel speeds using UTIS data. The algorithm estimates link travel times using a robust data-filtering procedure to identify valid observations within a sampling interval using a varying data validity window. The size of the data validity window varies as a function of the standard deviation of observations in previous intervals. A field test showed that the variance of the percent errors of link travel times was reduced when measured using the new model. Therefore it can be concluded that the proposed model significantly improves travel speed measuring accuracy.

Integration of UTIS and WIS information for Determining Speed Limits of Variable Speed Limit System

There has been a strong demand for providing diverse services to drivers utilizing existing ITS infrastructure. To this end, this study is aiming at improving the accuracy of a variable speed limit system by determining recommended speeds for the system utilizing the information from Urban Traffic Information System(UTIS) and Weather Information System(WIS). In order to determine appropriate speed limits under inclement weather conditions for the variable speed limit system, this study examined three methods: i) the method utilizing the information from WIS, ii) the method utilizing the information from UTIS, and iii) the method which combines the information from WIS and UTIS using different weights for diverse weather conditions. Finally, this study selected the third method which determines an appropriate speed limit using the relationship between the vehicle operating speed and the minimum stopping distance which is estimated using the existing speed limit, surface coefficient of friction and superelevation.

A Study on the Integration of Automatic Enforcement Equipment and UTIS Base Station

In this paper, we suggested the integration between automatic enforcement system and UTIS(Urban Traffic Information System) base station. UTIS base station and automatic enforcement system are different in the height of installation and the type of communication network. UTIS base station is 25 meter high and communicate with center system by optical network. Whereas automatic enforcement system is 6.6 meter high and communicate with center system by rental network. For the purpose of suggesting the efficient method of integration, research was as in the following. We found that the number of integrated system was 1,628 through the present state of analysis and UTIS equipment was satisfied with the required specifications through field testing. Also we suggested the appropriate configuration of the integrated system and analyzed that the cost of the integrated system installment is 1/5 lower than that of the legacy system installment.

Algorithm for Bus Priority Signals based on Urban Traffic Information System(UTIS)

The continuous deployment of Urban Traffic Information System (UTIS) in Korea has increased the need for developing more practical applications utilizing the standard functions of UTIS facilities installed on urban arterials beyond its basic applications like gathering traffic data and providing traffic information. The UTIS-based bus signal priority may be one of UTIS-based applications meeting such demands. However, the studies on BSP have not been sufficient for actual field deployment in terms of theories and algorithms so that there have been few actual installations on real urban arterials. Thus, this study was aimed at developing a UTIS-based bus priority signal system and evaluating its effectiveness through a field study. To this end, this study presents the system development processes by dividing the UTIS-based bus priority signal system into hardware and software. In addition, the positive effectiveness of the UTIS-based bus priority signal system was verified through a field application test which was conducted at Gyeonggi Global Trade High School intersection.

Development of the Emergency Vehicle Preemption Control System Based on UTIS

In this paper, we have developed the system of emergency vehicle preemption signal control based on UTIS(Urban Traffic Information System) which have been deployed and operated in the national capital area. It considered the turning direction(through or left turn) of emergency vehicle at the signalized intersection in order to provide the consecutive progression of emergency vehicle and minimize the control delay of passenger cars. we adopted several EVP control modes such as phase insertion and phase adjustment mode. Also, we evaluated the possibility of field implementation via simulation analysis using CORSIM RTE(Run Time Extension) based HILS(Hardware In the Loop Simulation). We expect that the result of this research contribute to providing the right-of-way to emergency vehicle in this country.
