Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek dan Kooperatif Terhadap Pemahaman Siswa SMA

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model and the Cooperative Learning (CL) model on the understanding of high school students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a focus on literature studies. The data sources that will be used in this study are scientific articles, books, journals, research reports, and other literature sources that are relevant and related to the influence of project-based and cooperative learning models in biology learning. The data analysis method used in this study is literature analysis or systematic literature review. The results of the study showed that both PBL and CL had a positive effect on the understanding of high school students. PBL provides opportunities for students to be actively involved in learning, build deep understanding, and develop critical thinking skills. CL enhances student understanding through interaction and collaboration, facilitates the exchange of understanding, and improves communication and cooperation skills. This research has important implications for educational practice, such as helping teachers choose the right learning model and encouraging the development of teacher training programs on PBL and CL

The influence of mathematical disposition on high school students' understanding of mathematical concepts

One of the subjects often considered challenging by students is mathematics, leading to difficulties in learning the subject. This is due to students' lack of ability to comprehend mathematical concepts. This research aims to investigate the influence of mathematical disposition on the mathematical concept understanding of high school students. The study utilizes a correlational survey method with a quantitative approach. The study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational survey method. The population includes all twelfth-grade science students at SMA Negeri 1 Sedayu. The sampling technique utilizes random sampling, with a sample size of 65 students selected from two twelfth-grade science classes. The instruments used in the research consist of a mathematical disposition questionnaire and an essay test on the ability to understand mathematical concepts. Data analysis is performed through classical assumption tests and simple regression analysis. The classical assumption tests include normality and linearity tests. The results indicate a significant positive influence of mathematical disposition on students' understanding of mathematical concepts, with a contribution of mathematical disposition to the understanding of mathematical concepts amounting to 34.8%.

PREVENTION OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE THROUGH PUBERTY EDUCATION AT SDIT MUTIARA INSAN BEKASI REGENCY

Compared to a few decades ago, puberty now happens earlier, and the frequency of sexual assault is rising wildly. The purpose of this study is to examine how puberty education affects high-grade elementary school students' awareness of sexual assault prevention. With a facilitator in each class, the research design employs a quasi-experimental format of concurrent lectures and conversations lasting 60 minutes. 22 fourth-graders, 31 fifth-graders, and 31 sixth-graders make up the participants. Ten true-false questions from a pre-and post-test were used to gauge knowledge. The T-test was utilized in data analysis. The understanding of high school students significantly increased (P value 0.0001). All class discussions showed an exceptionally lively exchange of thoughts, and several students were particularly aggressive and engaged in raising issues of psychological (the recognition and control of emotions) and social (interpersonal connections and communication) interest. Continuous education is important, along with teaching strategies that are not the same as pedagogy or andragogy but rather suitable for the typical characteristics of adolescents.

Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Aksi Sadar Keselamatan Jalan Berbasis Android

High school students understanding of road safety regulations is still lacking causing traffic violations to increase among teenagers. This is due to the lack of road safety learning media. The android-based road safety action awareness application (SIAR SENJA) was built using app inventor software to increase understanding of road safety. SIAR SENJA application development uses the agile development method consisting of ideas, planning, development and evaluation. The SIAR SENJA application helps high school students understand road safety and be aware of the hazards involved, so that they can become pioneers of road safety in everyday life. SIAR SENJA application development can be done by adding animated video features and improving the display quality of the application.

Assessing conceptual understanding of high school students on transverse and stationary waves through Rasch analysis in Malang

This study aims to reveal the condition of high school students’ conceptual knowledge of transverse and stationary wave topics in Malang. The significance of waves in human civilization necessitates students’ excellent comprehension of waves. However, deepening the condition of students’ understanding of this topic is still rarely done in Malang. Through cluster random sampling, 103 students who studied transversal and stationary wave topics took a part in this study. Using a three-tier test instrument that has been proven to be valid and reliable by previous researchers, the understanding of students regarding waves was examined. Students’ understanding of the transverse and stationary wave topics is mapped deeply using Rasch Wright Map and graph-percentage analysis. According to the study’s findings, only about 0–14.56% of students have an understanding of each concept on this topic. Furthermore, more than 30% of students had a misconception about two of the ten wave concepts examined. Additionally, on nine of the ten wave topics examined, more than 30% of students reported no understanding. The most difficult concepts to be understood for students are wave propagation and superposition. Finally, high school students in Malang stated still have less understanding of transverse and stationary waves.

Comprehensive and Understanding of PM2.5 among Thai High School Students

The majority of Thai people prefer to spend their time participating in outdoor activities. However, Thailand is considered a polluted country, and Bangkok is ranked as the most polluted city in the country. Younger generations faced an issue of lacking awareness about PM2.5. As a consequence of encountering particulate fine particles, individuals may be at high risk of developing respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, none of the researchers have ever conducted a survey researching the comprehensiveness and understanding of high school students in Thailand about PM2.5. Hence, this research aims to analyze and determine understanding among Thai high school students in Thailand. The research was conducted through an online survey consisting of 21-multiple choice questions. With 133 individuals participating in the survey, the mean score was rounded up to 13.65, illustrating the comprehension level of high school students to be on an average scale. From analyzing the correlation between the two variables, the F value was 0.27. According to mean value, the most prominent fundamental reasons for having average knowledge on fine particles may be a consequence of not including the topic into school’s syllabus and low promotion in the media, such as newspapers and social media. Thus, this research aims to raise awareness, concern, and comprehension among high school students about the effects of PM2.5.

Penguatan Implementasi Penggunaan Modul Pencegahan Penyalahgunaan Napza untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Pencegahan bagi Siswa SMA Negeri di Jakarta Timur

Drug abuse among adolescents in 2018 has increased by 24 to 28 percent. One of the efforts that can be done is to provide preventive services in schools. The make-a-match method (finding a partner) is a learning method that uses cards as a medium. This study aims to produce card media that can help increase the understanding of high school students about the dangers of narcotics abuse. The method used in this study is a Research and Development method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation) which is limited to the development stage. The data collection tools used are questionnaires and interviews. The media assessment was carried out by a validator consisting of media experts, material experts, school counselors, and students. The results of the assessment showed that the assessment of media experts reached 85% and material experts 72%. Then, the results of the user test on school counselors reached 82%, the user trial on students 89%, and the results of the student performance test reached 89%. The overall result of developing Narco Card media as a medium for providing narcotics information is categorized as very feasible.

An investigation of item bias in the four-tier diagnostic test using Rasch model

The existence of item bias in a set of measuring instruments can threaten the instrument’s validity. Based on the Rasch model, this study evaluated item bias in the four-tier heat and temperature diagnostic test (4T-HTDT). This study used a cross-sectional quantitative survey method. There were 241 students selected using a stratified random sampling technique. The 4T-HTDT instrument consisted of 20 items grouped into five concept groups. Students’ conceptual understanding was grouped into five categories, namely scientific knowledge (Rating=5), false positive (Rating=4), false negative (Rating=3), misconceptions (Rating=2), and lack of knowledge (Rating=1). The differential item functioning (DIF) score was used to evaluate item bias in the 4T-HTDT. Bias was reviewed based on the respondent’s gender, class, and school. The item has DIF if the probability value is <5%. The results showed that 35% (7 out of 20 items) spread over five groups of heat and temperature concepts were biased. However, excluding seven DIF items from the measurement set would not significantly affect the composition and distribution of items. Thus, the 13 items in the 4T-HTDT instrument are free from bias and can be used to evaluate the conceptual understanding of high school students.

Development of a test instrument using multiple representations to assess students understanding: A Rasch Model Analysis

Today's test instruments used in schools are still ineffective in assessing students' multi-representational understanding of the "rate of reaction" topic. Hence, teachers need to accurately and comprehensively know the depth of students' understanding. In this study, a test instrument was produced to assess the level of macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic understanding of high school students in the rates of reaction topic. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) based on the Rasch modeling approach, which is modified in ten stages, i.e., (1) defining construct, (2) identifying question indicators, (3) compiling items, scoring rubrics, scoring guidelines, and the guidelines to analyze student's level of understanding, (4) conducting the pilot test, (5) analyzing data with the Rasch model, (6) reviewing the suitability of items, (7) reviewing the Wright map, (8) repeating steps 4-7 until all items fit, (9) claiming the instrument's quality, and (10) documenting the instrument. All items proved valid because they met the fit criteria of MNSQ, ZSTD, and PT Measure scores. Instrument reliability reaches the score of 0.89 (good). The instrument has a four-difficulty index, dominated by moderate difficulty (70.6%). This instrument is relatively easy. The instrument also has four discrimination indexes: very difficult, difficult, medium, and easy. It proves that this assessment instrument is of good quality and suitable for school use.

Design and Validity of Interactive Multimedia Based on Cognitive Conflict Using Adobe Animate CC on the Concept of Circular Motion

High school students' understanding of circular motion material is still low. One solution to this problem is to design interactive multimedia based on the cognitive conflict in the theory of circular motion to enhance the conceptual understanding of high school students. This study aims to determine the characteristics and validity of interactive multimedia based on cognitive conflict. The research follows the development research approach using the Plomp model. This study is limited to the preliminary study phase and the development phase, up to the validity test through expert review. The learning instruments include journal analysis sheets, teacher questionnaires, self-evaluation sheets, and expert review sheets. Data were analyzed using the percentage technique and the V-Aiken formula. The introductory study identified several issues in teaching circular motion, such as low understanding levels, teacher-centered physics instruction, lack of experimental activities, and a lack of interactive multimedia teaching materials. During the development stage, multimedia was designed with the following characteristics: the use of Adobe Animate CC 2019 application to support interactivity through students' smartphones. The multimedia was also structured according to the four learning model syntax based on cognitive conflict (CCBL model). The results of the self-evaluation test met the criteria for a very good rating, while the expert review test indicated a valid category. It can be concluded that the cognitive conflict-based interactive multimedia on circular motion material is valid and can proceed to the practical and effective testing stage.

Pemahaman Pelajar Terhadap Bahaya Sampah Plastik Lingkungan Rumah dan Sekolah

The purpose of this study was to determine the understanding of high school students about the dangers of plastic waste in the home and school environment. Some of the indicators used to measure it are students' access to information about the dangers of plastic waste in the home and school environment, adolescent knowledge about the dangers of plastic waste in the home and school environment, attitudes and behavioral control that are internalized. The method used in this study is qualitative with direct interview data collection techniques. The research location is in Bandung with consideration, the number of plastic waste in the city of Bandung is quite high. The results showed that the understanding of high school students about the dangers of plastic waste in the home and school environment. This low understanding is because teenagers do not have a level of concern for waste, especially plastic waste, lack of understanding of students about the harmful effects of plastic waste in the environment and in schools, one of the factors that can be used as suggestions for development is to make efforts to promote the dangers of waste. plastics aimed at high school students in the city of Bandung.

Using Virtual Reality Technology in Biology Education

The use of virtual reality (VR) as a medium for education can contribute to the learning efficiency of students. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of VR application in advanced biology courses, specifically in enhancing the comprehension and understanding of high school students toward the topic of human organs and other related systems. Four high school teachers and 138 high school students selected from three separate classes participated in this study. To determine the impact of VR education from both teachers’ and students’ perspectives, learning satisfaction and the effectiveness of instructional material were assessed with questionnaires. We found that from teachers’ perspective, VR was an efficient teaching tool that enhanced students’ attention and contributed to the improvement of learning outcomes. From the students’ perspective, they were willing to use VR instructional material and were satisfied with this learning method. Applying VR technology in the classroom should be encouraged. However, some students identified dizziness as a concern when VR glasses were used for longer periods of time. Therefore, we suggest that VR glasses be limited to 30 minutes of use at a time.

Needs Analysis for Developing Problem Solving-Based E-Module for Projectile Motion to Train High School Students’ Conceptual Understanding in Pekanbaru

The conceptual understanding of high school students in Pekanbaru is still low. This is due to: 1) the need for students’ active involvement in problem-solving activities and 2) the lack of interactive learning resources in motivating and strengthening students’ conceptual understanding. Students’ low conceptual understanding can be overcome by using a learning media in the form of a problem-solving-based e-module in the learning activities. This research is survey research—the first step in developing a problem-solving-based e-learning module. The purpose of this research is to find out what the students need in learning physics which results in the need to develop a problem-solving-based e-module on physics learning. The results of the analysis of 102 students suggested that 63.7% of the students use printed books in learning, which, according to students, are less practical. Moreover, as many as 61.8% of the students experience problems in problem-based learning, meaning that students have problems in analysing problems as well as interpreting and evaluating problemsolving; therefore, problem-solving-based learning is needed. As many as 59.8% of the students don’t learn independently, meaning that students are very dependent on the role of the teacher. Furthermore, based on the results of the survey, 53.9% of the students feel more enthusiastic if the learning uses technology, and 66.7% considered the concept of projectile motion as difficult. These results indicate that it is necessary to develop teaching material in the form of problem solving-based e-module for projectile motion as a physics learning medium to train students’ conceptual understanding in the city of Pekanbaru.

EDUKASI PENCEGAHAN PENYEBARAN INFORMASI HOAKS MELALUI MEDIA SOSIAL BAGI SISWA DI SMAN 1 PALU

Social media can be understood that media is a tool used in communication activities. The dissemination of learning information is something that must be considered so that learning activities become more optimal and the objectives of learning can be achieved. The dissemination of information has so far experienced obstacles due to limited communication space. Various social media features used by the community, especially student students, to get learning materials in online learning activities. Fake news or hoaxes are now widely encountered on a daily basis and often even use provocative sensational titles. Based on that description, the problem is what efforts must be made in order to prevent the spread of hoax information with the knowledge and understanding of high school students in filtering information through social media. This service activity provides education to high school students about the importance of knowledge and understanding in preventing the spread of hoax information through social media for everyone. The service location will be carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Palu with the target of school students. The method of implementation is by lectures and discussions.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS’ EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCES OF ONLINE LEARNING DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC PERIOD

Purpose - This research aims to explore the emotional experiences of online learning among high school students during the pandemic period. Underlying issues that led to the development of the emotions, coping mechanisms, and support received were also looked into in the study. Methodology - This qualitative study employed a case study method, involving semi-structured interviews. By using Purposive Sampling, 12 high-school students were selected and interviewed on topics related to i) their emotional experiences in online learning; ii) the strategies they used to deal with their emotions, and iii) the type of support thatthey received throughout their online learning experiences. Thematic Analysis and In-vivo Coding were used to interpret the data and generate suitable themes and sub-themes for the study. Findings - Findings show that students experienced a variety of emotions of unhappiness, happiness, discomfort, frustration, anger, stress, annoyance, exhaustion, shyness, and the feeling of being distracted during the time of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Data also show that students coped with their emotions through interaction with others, taking a breather, keeping to themselves, managing the interruptions, and also maintaining focus. When it came to the support received, family support, peer support, financial support, and educational support were the sub-themes that emerged. Significance - The results of this study contribute to the understanding of high school students’ feelings towards online learning and see how they are coping with it during the Covid-19 pandemic.

MENINGKATAN PERILAKU ANTI KORUPSI MELALUI MODEL INVESTIGATIVE REPORT: INTEGRASI MATA PELAJARAN AGAMA DAN PENDIDIKAN ANTI KORUPSI

This study aims to improve students' anti-corruption behavior through the integration of religious education and anti-corruption education subjects. The research method uses an investigative report learning model that focuses on high school students in Gowa Regency as a sample. The investigative report learning model has proven to be successful in increasing the understanding of high school students about anti-corruption actions and behavior. Students' understanding of anti-corruption actions and behavior that initially only revolved around the government level has increased at a wider level, where students are able to identify directly in the field through investigation sheets, such as the home environment and the market environment. Some of the actions that can be identified are the act of reducing the scales, hoarding basic materials, and providing inappropriate materials. Furthermore, the role of religious teachers is also very large by providing interventions in the form of explaining the relationship between the Qur'an and the story of the Prophet Muhammad SAW to students' findings about acts that are considered acts of corruption. The final impact obtained is that students' understanding of anti-corruption actions and behavior will increase and psychologically will help students to avoid acts of corruption and spread the importance of anti-corruption behavior.

Understanding high school students’ errors in solving genetic problems

ABSTRACT This study aimed to provide a deeper understanding of high school students' errors while solving genetics problems. Four students were asked to solve two genetics problems and participate in a modified think-aloud interview. Data from the interview, video clips of the problem-solving process, and test sheets were used to analyse participants’ problem-solving processes and identify errors during each of the following problem-solving phases: understanding, planning, execution, and checking. The error of Misinterpreting evidence was observed in the understanding phase for Problem 1 (represented verbally), whereas the error of Making incorrect assumptions was observed for Problem 2 (students had to draw a pedigree). Errors of Incorrect conclusion occurred in the planning phase, characterised by problem-solving strategies based on incorrect assumptions or misunderstanding the problem due to errors in the understanding phase. Further, Using incomplete representation and Mathematical errors were observed in the execution phase due to representational competence and the application of mathematical principles, respectively. The checking phase was characterised by Not monitoring the problem-solving process and Disregarding evidence, wherein participants failed to check the logical consistency of genetic principles with the information embedded in the problem. The results indicated that problem-solving errors were related to the interaction between the students’ domain-general competencies and domain-specific knowledge.

Komparasi Penguasaan Konsep Siswa SMA dan Mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Pada Materi Vektor

This study aims to determine the difference in conceptual understanding of high school students and physics education students on vector material. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population of this study includes high school students and physics education students have studied vector material physics in East Java. Sampling was done by random sampling for high school students and physics education students in East Java. The instrument used to obtain the data is a conceptual understanding test in the form of 10 multiple choice questions. The results showed that the percentage level of conceptual understanding in high school students was 24% and physics education students 35%. So that students are included in the low category or do not understand while students are included in the medium category or understand. Thus it can be concluded that there are differences in conceptual understanding between high school students and physics education students. This study recommends that further research be conducted to determine the appropriate learning model in improving the understanding of concepts for high school students and physics education students.

FORMATION OF HEALTHCARE COMPETENCE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN STUDYING THE INTEGRATED COURSE «I AM EXPLORING THE WORLD»

The article is devoted to the research of the problem of formation of healthcare competence of junior high school students in studying the integrated course «I am exploring the world». An analysis of the psychological and pedagogical literature on the preservation of human health has led to the conclusion that life priorities are formed primarily in the educational institution. Therefore, the future of the child and the country as a whole depends on what they will be like.The article finds that the positive pedagogical effect in the formation of healthcare competence of junior high school students in the educational process in the study of integrated courses, including «I am exploring the world», gives compliance with the following pedagogical conditions: implementation of axiological approach to junior high school students healthcare competence; stimulating the active role position of students in the process of mastering health skills; organizational and methodological support of proper support in the formation of skills of healthcare competence. The article proves that integrated disciplines help to expand of junior high school students understanding of the environment in which they live, the relationship of phenomena and objects, mutual assistance, the existence of a diverse world of material and artistic culture. Hence, the use of modern forms, methods, techniques, tools and methods of organizing lessons, including the integrated course «I am exploring the world», which is important in health, health, promoting the health of young students. At the same time, it helps the teacher to solve the main tasks in the educational institution: improving the quality of education, the formation of health competence in junior high school students and comprehensive education of the individual.

Increasing Knowledge of Senior High School Students on Mental Wellbeing and Body Immunity Through Online Counseling

During this pandemic, there are many changes in daily activities such as diet, whereas maintaining a balanced diet and nutritious food consumption is very important in increasing immunity and reducing the risk of exposure to infectious diseases. Mental health disorders are also commonly found where the disorder is triggered by various things such as difficulty to meet with friends and family and feeling lonely. However, mental health topic is sometimes still considered taboo due to the lack of education about mental health in Indonesia. To deal with this situation, we took the initiative to conduct education. The purpose of this education is to increase knowledge and awareness in the younger generation regarding the importance of maintaining mental and immunity. The educational activities carried out at senior high school 1 Malang are integrated to support the achievement of the 3rd SDGs. The method used is to provide online counseling, actively involve participants in discussions and questionnaires to determine the level of understanding of high-school students before and after counseling. The results are an increase in student’s knowledge about mental health issues and immunity building through balanced nutrition during a pandemic.
