Eco Printing as an Environmentally Friendly Effort in Malaysia

Eco print is not widely known by the wider community. Although this method, apart from being an effort to preserve nature, can also be used as a creative economic development. Therefore, this community service aims to provide skills training to Universiti Malaysia Kelantan students to be able to become entrepreneurs using Eco print techniques by utilizing the potential of leaf media. This community service activity was carried out at Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya, namely by providing prior education regarding Eco printing. Then, it was continued by providing training on Eco print making techniques which consisted of scouring, mordanting and finally scouring. The partners for this community service activity were 14 students from Unirversiti Malaysia Kelantan. The results of this community service show an increase in participants' knowledge regarding Eco print techniques. Before the counseling was carried out, some of the participants had less knowledge of 73%. After the Eco print counseling and training was carried out, almost all of the participants had good knowledge of 80%. This ecoprint counseling and training is hoped that students from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan can initiate an Eco print entrepreneurship development program in their country

Transformational Leadership, Perceived Organizational Support Sharing, Organizational Commitment and Employee Performance: the Role of Religiosity

Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine how transformational leadership, knowledge sharing, and perceived organizational support affect organizational commitment and how their effects on performance are influenced by religiosity at Nahdlatul Ulama University in East Java. This kind of study is known as explanatory research. Method: Purposive sampling is the kind of sample strategy that should be applied. 345 samples were successfully obtained for this study. A Likert scale questionnaire was employed as the data gathering method in this investigation. The Partial Least Square (PLS) method was used to analyze the data, and SmartPLS version 3 PLS software was used. Research Findingsand Discussions: The following factors have been found to have a positive and significant impact on organizational commitment: 1) Transformational Leadership; 2) Perceived Organizational Support; 3) Knowledge Sharing; 4) Organizational Commitment has a positive and significant impact on performance; and 5) Religiosity strengthens the relationship between organizational commitment and employee performance. Research Implications: Research implicates poor lecturer performance with low-quality tertiary institutions. Studies must expand focus to include knowledge sharing, organizational support, and leadership to enhance relationships and improve organizational commitment and performance. Originality/Value: The poor performance of lecturers as members of the teaching staff in higher education is inextricably linked to the low quality of tertiary institutions. Numerous studies that have been done only look at a few variables and ignore the importance of knowledge sharing, perceived organizational support, and transformational leadership in maximizing the potential for relationships that are mediated by organizational commitment and moderated by religiosity to improve company performance.

Pengaruh Pondok Pesantren Terhadap Penanaman Profil Pelajar Pancasila Dalam Kurikulum Merdeka Siswa SD

Fatimatu Zahroh, The Effect of Islamic Boarding Schools on the Planting of Pancasila Student Profiles in Archery Elementary School Students' Independent Curriculum. Yogyakarta: PGSD FIP Study Program, Nahdlatul Ulama University,Yogyakarta,2023. This study aims to determine whether Islamic boarding schools influence the cultivation of Pancasila student profiles in the independent curriculum of SDNU Pemanahan students. The research method used is quantitative research using survey techniques. The population in this study were grade I and grade IV SDNU Pemanahan students who had used the independent curriculum in learning. The research sample of 60 students was taken from class I and class IV who had used the independent curriculum in learning. The data collection technique used in this research is using a questionnaire. Test the instrument's validity using the Product Moment correlation formula from Pearson, while the reliability test uses the Alpha Cronbach formula. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis, and analysis prerequisite tests, namely the normality test and linearity test, hypothesis testing is carried out using a simple analysis technique with the Product Moment correlation formula. The research was conducted from February to May 2023 at Pemanahan Elementary School. The subjects this study included teachers and students of class I and IV SDNU Pemanahan. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between Islamic boarding schools and the planting of Pancasila student profiles in the independent curriculum of SDNU Pemanahan students as evidenced by the r-value of 0.542 which means there is a positive relationship because there is no negative sign, then the recount value of 0.542 is greater than the rateable value of 0.254 indicating that there is a significant relationship. The relationship between Islamic boarding schools and the profile of Pancasila students in this study has a coefficient of determination of 0.294 or 29.4%. That is, the variance that occurs in the profile of Pancasila students is determined by Islamic boarding schools at 29.4%. From the results of the study, the hypothesis which states that there is a relationship between Islamic boarding schools and the profile of Pancasila students at SDNU Pemanahan students is accepted.

Peningkatan Kualitas Produksi dan Keamanan Pemasaran Minuman Kesehatan Berbasis Bunga Telang pada Ibu PKK Kecamatan Rungkut Surabaya dalam mendukung SDGs-3 Good Health and Well Being

To support SDGs-3 to achieve conditions of good health and well-being amidst the conditions of society, support is needed for resilient community groups who are economically creative. The residents of Penjaringan Sari Village are among the village residents who have won Surabaya SMART City 2020. They are an alternative tourist village developing a productive economy by selling processed drinks based on Telang flowers. However, in this community group, many problems still require assistance. Efforts need to be made to solve the problems of PKK women's partners in the Penjaringansari sub-district to improve production quality, starting from preparing raw materials, selecting and using packaging correctly, and increasing the diversification of partners' processed products and product branding. This activity aims to provide community service from a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University, in collaboration with lecturers from the Faculty of Medicine, Nahdatul Ulama University, Surabaya. This activity is a tri dharma of higher education where the community can feel lecture materials, research results, and previous community service products as partners in supporting SDGs-3 Good Health and Well-being. The outcome is an increase in participants' understanding, indicated by an average post-test score of 75, with an increase of 26% compared to the pretest. Apart from that, there is an increase in skills in making syrup and Telang flower powder drinks.

Education for pregnant women in increasing knowledge about childbirth preparation

In Indonesia, the maternal mortality rate remains high, encompassing women's health concerns such as pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Efforts to mitigate this rate involve the provision of quality services spanning from pregnancy to contraception. Pregnant women experience physical and emotional changes that have the potential to cause anxiety, especially before giving birth. To overcome this problem, Nahdlatul Ulama University in collaboration with RSI A. Yani, Surabaya City held community empowerment activities in the form of educational seminars that focused on preparation for childbirth for pregnant women. The main aim of this seminar is to increase participants' understanding of childbirth preparation. The methodology used included online and offline seminars attended by 20 pregnant women. Analysis of the results of the pre-test and post-test questionnaires showed that there was a significant difference in participants' knowledge regarding childbirth preparation before and after the seminar, with a p-value 0.05. This community empowerment initiative is effective in increasing seminar participants' knowledge regarding childbirth preparation.

Quality Duck Sausage with The Addition of Various Levels of Okra Flour

The aims of this study aims is to kno the quality of duck meat sauge that has similar fiber to beef at a cheaper price. Duck meat has enough make sausages without added fat, thus makes duck meat more savory taste. The addition of okra flour in duck sausage is increase the shelf life of duck sausage. Because okra flour has a high potential for antioxidant content, it is necessary to know the characteristics of duck sausage which include color, taste, aroma, texture, and shelf life. The research method used was experimental based on a completely randomized design consisting of five treatments and five replications and continued with Duncan's multiple test if there was a significant effect. This research was conducted at the integrated science laboratory at Nahdlatul Ulama University, Blitar. The ingredients used to make the sausage are duck meat purchased at the animal market in Dimoro, Blitar City, tapioca flour, okra flour, skim milk powder, and seasonings consisting of nutmeg, ginger, pepper, garlic, STTP, salt, and ice cubes. The results showed that the addition of various levels of okra flour in duck sausage had a significant effect (P<0.05) on color and shell life but gives no significant effect (P>0.05) on taste, aroma, and texture. The addition of various levels of okra flour in duck sausage greatly affects the shelf life of duck sausage. This is evidenced by the more okra flour added to duck sausage, the longer the shelf life.

Profile of Student Metacognition in Solving Elementary Linear Algebra Problems Viewed from Tempo Conceptual Cognitive Style

Metacognition is one of the factors that influences students' success in solving mathematical problems. On the other hand, the reality in the field is that students experience difficulties in solving mathematical problems related to Elementary Linear Algebra because they contain a lot of repetitive calculations, so they require high levels of perseverance and accuracy. This research aims to describe students' metacognitive profiles in solving Elementary Linear Algebra problems in terms of cognitive style. The cognitive style chosen is the conceptual cognitive style of pacing through Matching Familiar Figures Tests with research subjects being mathematics students at Nahdlatul Ulama University, Purwokerto. The resulting metacognition profile was obtained from Elementary Linear Algebra problem-solving test data and interviews, which were analyzed and concluded through a series of method triangulation processes. The research results show that students are reflective and impulsive in carrying out all activities that are indicators of metacognitive awareness and regulation, as well as several indicators from metacognitive evaluation. Fast, accurate students carry out all activities that become indicators of metacognitive awareness, regulation, and evaluation. Meanwhile, slowly, inaccurate students carry out all activities that are indicators of metacognitive awareness and several indicators of metacognitive regulation but still need to be able to carry out activities of metacognitive evaluation.

Risk Management, Disaster Mitigation in the University Environment

Natural disasters present conditions that can lead to significant damage and pose a threat to the survival of society. Addressing and mitigating the risks associated with these disasters is imperative. One approach involves the implementation of risk management and disaster mitigation strategies. Despite the widespread acknowledgment of these measures, their application in the tertiary sector remains limited. This study focuses on Nadhlatul Ulama University in Yogyakarta, aligning with the emphasis on disaster mitigation at the university level as outlined in Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 33 of 2019, which pertains to the Implementation of Disaster-Safe Education Units. Utilizing a qualitative research design with descriptive methods, data collection involves structured interviews. Purposive sampling is employed to select informants capable of providing insights relevant to the study's focus. The research yields an initial model for a disaster-safe university, aiming to enhance understanding of school-based disaster risk reduction models and programs within communities vulnerable to potential disasters. The disaster risk reduction program is encapsulated in an initiative named "Disaster Class," which incorporates elements of Pentahelix disaster management.

Pelatihan Kepemimpinan dalam Kegiatan Organisasi Kemahasiswaan

This community service initiative aims to enhance leadership skills among members of the organization, while also providing educational insights into the specific roles each member plays in advancing the Hima Management Study Program at Nahdlatul Ulama University Sidoarjo. The intended recipients of this program are the leaders and members of the Hima Management Study Program at Nahdlatul Ulama University Sidoarjo, totaling 30 participants. The methodology employed for this initiative involves a training approach that integrates educational components with interactive discussions. The outcomes of this initiative significantly contribute to fortifying the leadership acumen of both leaders and members within the Hima Prodi organization. This enhancement empowers them to effectively fulfill their roles and responsibilities, thereby upholding the organization's mission.

Implementasi Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di Fakultas Vokasi

The Religious Education course is one of the Personality Development Courses (MPK). Based on the 2006 Director General of Higher Education Decree, every university has the right to develop MPK signs according to their respective characteristics. Therefore, this paper wants to discuss the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning at the Vocational Faculty of Nahdlatul Ulama University Lampung, which of course is a bit different from learning Islamic Religious Education in General Universities. The main objective of the Vocational Faculty is to prepare graduates who are ready to work and have high performance, therefore the lecturers of Islamic Education at the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Nahdlatul Ulama University, Lampung, try to bridge the gap between religious understanding and practice in the world of work, especially on the subject matter of "Work Ethic in Islam".

Differences in Halal Food Consumption Behavior with Providing Leaflet and Flashcard Media Education to Students

Most teenagers choose to consume food products that do not have a halal logo because theyare closer to where they live. This research aims to analyze differences in halal food consumption behavior using media education leaflets and flashcards on the Faculty of education students at Nahdlatul Ulama University, Surabaya. The type of this research is true Experimental Design by using a Repost Test Design. The number of samples in this study was 66 respondents. Sampling in this study used techniques, of simple random sampling. Then divided into 33 respondents for group leaflets and 33 respondents for, group flashcards. The test analysis used is test Mann Whitney with a significant level (?=0.05). The result of This research shows that there is no difference in behavior between media groups leaflets and flashcards(p=0.090). Providing education with media leaflets and flashcards can increase halal food, consumption behavior among students. It is hoped that there will be further research using different, media such as audio-visual in looking at halal food consumption behavior.

Role of the Sufism perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali in shaping character education at student cadres Ahlith Thoriqoh Al-Mu'tabaroh An-Nahdliyyah Nahdlatul Ulama University Cirebon

The presence of phenomena that are labeled as moral degradation that currently occurs among young people is certainly a serious task in this modern era. This study aims to provide an understanding related to Sufism and its role in eroding indicators of moral decline in student cadres Ahlith Thoriqoh Al-Mu'tabaroh An-Nahdliyyah Nahdlatul Ulama University Cirebon. The results show the real impact felt by the cadres. The role of the Sufism perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali is to form character education in cadres through the development of spirituality, moral development, self-control, and the development of Emotional Intelligence. From the values above, the real impact is felt by the cadres of Ahlith Thoriqoh Al-Mu'tabaroh An-Nahdliyyah students of the Nahdlatul Ulama University of Cirebon in improving the character of individuals. This is because the activities carried out are always aligned with the values of Sufism and asasul khomsah of Ahlith Thoriqoh Al-Mu'tabaroh An-Nahdliyyah students, namely tafaqquh fi al-din, iltizamut thoat, Tasfiah al-qalb wa tazkiyat al-nafsi, Hifdz al-aurad wa al-adzkar, and khidmah lil ummah.

Ethical Principles As Student Motivation Continuing Education At Medical Faculty, Nahdlatul Ulama University, Surabaya

Background : Ethics is an important component in human life to distinguish good and bad behavior. Motivation is very important when an individual wants to do something and decides something. Ethics supports a person's motivation to do things they think are good, including determining education at medical school. Objective : The research aims to find out students' thinking principles based on the science of ethics so that by knowing these thinking principles researchers can find out students' motivations in choosing and continuing their studies at medical faculty. Methods : This research is a quantitative study with a descriptive approach on all students of the Class of 2022 FK UNUSA. The survey used secondary data from student interviews from the new student admissions committee, data analysis using descriptive analytics and data validity using correlation tests. Result : The results of this research show that 81% of students have the principle of virtue ethic thinking, supported by Personal Characteristics Test data showing that 72% of students are advised to be accepted as students at the medical faculty. Conclusion : So, it can be concluded that virtue ethics is a motivation to continue education at the Faculty of Medicine, Nahdlatul Ulama University, Surabaya.

The Effect of Mnemonic Method with a Deductive Approach in Shorof Learning on Students Learning Outcomes

The aim of this research is to see how using a mnemonic method with a deductive approach affects in shorof learning outcomes of Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies students at Nahdhatul Ulama University Yogyakarta. Success in learning can be influenced by the selection of appropriate methods by the teacher during learning. One of the methods that can be used is the mnemonic method. This quantitative research used an experimental technique, a quasi-one-group pretest-posttest design. The acquired data were evaluated using descriptive statistical tests, a normality test with Kolmogorov-Smirnov, and a paired sample t-test. The findings of this research demonstrated that using the rhyme mnemonic method with a deductive approach to the subject of isim jamid in shorof learning, paired with the rhyme of sholawat badar, had an effect on students' learning outcomes. This was shown by an increase in the average students’ pretest score from 61.50 to the average students’ posttest score of 81.67. The results of the significant value of the paired sample t-test being 0.000 also reinforced this effect. These significant findings revealed that Sig 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a substantial difference in students’ learning outcomes before and after using the mnemonic method with a deductive approach in shorof learning. Suggestions for further research are to vary learning methods and approaches, considering that this way can affect the level of students’ understanding of the materials taught.

PENGARUH WORK ENVIRONMENT DAN MOTIVASI INTRINSIK TERHADAP ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

The reason of this study was to decide the impact of work environment and intrinsic motivation on academic achievement. The research method used is a survey, where the data collection technique is a questionnaire. Respondents were taken from Faculty of Economics students in the 2022/2023 academic year at Nahdlatul Ulama University Sidoarjo. The research sample was selected aimed at students who were working. Information collection was carried out through a survey by utilizing google forms. The investigation in this utilized used Partial Least Square (PLS) with 4.0 software. The results appear that the free factors of work environment and inborn inspiration have a critical impact on the subordinate variable scholarly accomplishment in understudies of the Faculty of Economics in the 2022/2023 academic year of Nahdlatul Ulama University of Sidoarjo. It shows that a good and conducive work environment, adequate facilities, and also positive interactions can make students' academic achievement better and get satisfactory grades. In addition, students who have motivation towards learning materials and high self-confidence in facing challenges tend to achieve higher and satisfactory academic achievement.

GREEN ARCHITECTURE OF NAHDLATUL ULAMA YOGYAKARTA UNIVERSITY CAMPUS BUILDING FROM MATERIAL AND ENERGY ASPECTS

The use of Green Architecture in designing a building is a necessity in order to create the principle of sustainability. The campus as a place where education is carried out is a benchmark in creating the principle of sustainability. The Yogyakarta Nahdlatul Ulama University Campus Building tries to implement green architecture in its construction. The aim of the research is to investigate green architecture elements in the NU Yogyakarta Campus buildings. The method uses descriptive narrative by explaining in description the application of green architecture in buildings. Applications are specialized in the application of materials and energy. The research results show that some materials use green architecture principles, such as the use of a hollow roaster so that it can incorporate elements of light and wind and the use of solar panels to save energy

Analisis SWOT Universitas Melaka sebagai Strategi Pengembangan Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surakarta

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the SWOT of the University of Melaka Malaysia to formulate a development strategy for the University of Nahdlatul Ulama Surakarta. Research Methodology: This type of research includes qualitative field research and uses SWOT analysis as an analytical knife. Data collection techniques included interviews, documentaries,, and observation methods from February 12 to 15, 2023 at the University of Melaka Malaysia. Results: The findings of this study indicate that four alternatives can be developed for Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surakarta: SO, WO, ST, and WT strategies. The SO strategy includes institutions, curricula, and student development. The two WO strategies covered employment, infrastructure, and student affairs. The three ST strategies are curriculum, institutions, management, and infrastructure. The four WT strategies covered infrastructure, foreign relations, employment, and student affairs. Limitation: This study focuses on two tertiary institutions, namely the University of Melaka and the University of Nahdlatul Ulama Surakarta. Contribution: First, it can be used as evaluation material for the University of Melaka. Second, it can be an opportunity for Nahdlatul Ulama University to collaborate with the University of Melaka as a higher education development strategy. Novelty: Based on the literature review that the authors explain in this article, it shows that the renewal of this research is to use the results of the SWOT analysis at Melaka University to formulate a development strategy for Nahdlatul Ulama University, Surakarta.

The Implementation of A Multiliteracy Pedagogy Framework for Teaching Critical Teaching

The Multiliteracy Pedagogy Framework has been promoted to improve education in many countries; however, it is not popular yet in Indonesia. The framework relates to enhancing students' thinking skills. The other research indicated that the MPF did not positively affect students' critical thinking since the teacher did not have good knowledge about it; the teacher did not completely implement the four framework syntax in the teaching-learning process. The research, therefore, intends to reveal the implementation of the MPF for teaching critical thinking in the reading class of English Language Education (PBI) students. The research subjects are a lecture on the Reading subject and 20 students in the third semester at PBI Nahdlatul Ulama University of Sidoarjo (UNUSIDA). It is descriptive qualitative research using observation and questionnaire techniques to collect data. Descriptive statistics were used to generate summaries. The first implementation process is changing the lesson plan based on the multiliteracy pedagogy framework dimension. The activities are arranged in order from the cognitive functions in Multiliteracy; experiencing, conceptualizing, analyzing, and applying. The lecturer followed the syntax easily and completely. The result of students' assignments proves they can think critically about a text by giving comments supported with reasons, recommendations, data, conclusions, and evaluations. Besides, the students enjoyed the instruction and responded well to the questionnaire, with 96,5% on average.

Relationship between Learning Motivation and Students' Learning Achievements in English Education Study Program at Nahdlatul Ulama University of Blitar

The purpose of this research is to ascertain the relationship between learning motivation and academic achievement in second semester students of the English Education Study Program at Nahdlatul Ulama University of Blitar. The design of this research is correlational quantitative. Interviews, documentation, and questionnaires were used to gather the data. The results of the validity analysis showed that as many as 25 questions were declared valid without exception, while the degree of validity ranged from 0.404 to 0.771. The reliability results show a coefficient of 0.915 and it is declared reliable. Chi-Square test and an analogous Fisher Exact test are used in data analysis. Of the 31 respondents, there were 17 students with high motivation (54.8%) and 14 students (45.2%) with low motivation. Students with cum laude GPA as many as 24 respondents (77.4%) and very satisfactory GPA as many as 7 students (22.6%). The outcome of the statistical test has a p-value of 1,000 (p > 0.05). This indicates that there is no relationship between learning motivation and academic achievement among second semester English Education Study Program students at Nahdlatul Ulama University of Blitar.

RESEARCH BOOTCAMP TRAINING TO IMPROVE RESEARCH COMPETENCE AT THE MUHAMMADIYAH UNIVERSITY OF PALOPO, NAHDLATUL ULAMA UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA, AND AL-AZHAR ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF MATARAM

University is one of the centers of intellectual development in order to improve competitiveness, performance, and quality. However, universities need to make improvements, especially in research, because it is often found that lecturers and students have difficulties in writing articles and publications, especially those experienced by students on private campuses such as Muhammadiyah University of Palopo, Nahdlatul Ulama University of Indonesia, and Al-Azhar Islamic University Mataram. This activity is one of the efforts to overcome these problems. With this activity, it is hoped that participants can be helped in making articles by learning about accessing indexed national and international journals and using Quillbot software for paraphrasing
