Research and Design of Encryption Standards Based on IoT Network Layer Information Security of Data

INTRODUCTION: With the rapid development of the economy, more and more devices and sensors are connected to the Internet, and a large amount of data is transmitted in the network. However, this large-scale data transmission involves the problem of information security, especially in the transport layer. Therefore, there is an urgent need to study and design an information security data enhancement security strategy for the transport layer of ubiquitous networks (i.e., IoT). OBJECTIVES: This thesis aims to research and create a data enhancement security strategy for the transport layer of the Ubiquitous Web to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data transmitted in the Ubiquitous Web. Specific objectives include evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of current ubiquitous network transport layer lifting security techniques, proposing a new lifting security strategy applicable to the transport layer of ubiquitous networks, and verifying the feasibility and security of the proposed standard.METHODS: First, a detailed study and evaluation of the current Ubiquitous Network Transport Layer Elevated Security Techniques is conducted, including analyzing and comparing the existing elevated security algorithms and protocols. Then, based on the obtained research results, a new lifting security strategy applicable to the transport layer of ubiquitous networks is proposed. The design process takes into account the characteristics and requirements of ubiquitous networks, such as resource constraints, dynamics of network topology, and cooperative communication of multiple devices. Subsequently, the feasibility and security of the proposed standard are verified through simulations and experiments. In the experiments, real ubiquitous network devices and network environments are used to evaluate the performance and attack resistance of the enhanced security algorithms.RESULTS: Through the research and analysis of ubiquitous network transport layer lifting security techniques, some limitations of the existing lifting security algorithms are identified, such as high resource consumption, insufficient security, and limited ability to adapt to the characteristics of ubiquitous networks. Therefore, this thesis proposes a new lifting security strategy applicable to the transport layer of ubiquitous networks. The experimental results show that the standard can guarantee data confidentiality and integrity while possessing high efficiency and attack resistance. In addition, the proposed standard meets the needs of resource-constrained devices in ubiquitous networks and can operate properly under multiple network topologies and cooperative device communications.CONCLUSION: This thesis proposes a new elevated security strategy applicable to ubiquitous networks through the study and design of transport layer elevated security techniques for ubiquitous networks. This standard can effectively protect the confidentiality and integrity of data transmitted in ubiquitous networks with high efficiency and attack resistance. The proposed standard is expected to provide a feasible solution for the information security of ubiquitous networks and a more reliable guarantee for developing and applying ubiquitous networks. Future work can further improve and optimize this enhanced security strategy and validate and apply it in a wider range of ubiquitous network environments.

The Development of Intelligent Education and Teachers' Professional Informatization Led by an Intelligent Ubiquitous Network.

This study applies intelligent ubiquitous network technology to the field of education and leads to the benign development of intelligent education and teachers' professional informatization. This study proposes the concepts of eco-classroom, smart education, and flipped classroom and conducts practical research on the teaching effectiveness of the three elements of eco-classroom: teachers, students, and environment. Because of the problems of inaccurate positioning of data fusion, single application function, and difficulty of automatic correlation of data stored in multiple networks in the intelligent ubiquitous sensing environment, the method and path of multidimensional data fusion governance are proposed and put into practice to achieve good results in practice. Based on the characteristics of ubiquitous learning in time, space, and dimensional changes between reality and time, combined with the law of knotted learning and Bloom's mastery learning theory, the five components of the teaching model and their correlations are sorted out, and the teaching model of higher education under the vision of ubiquitous learning is constructed to achieve the goal of students' mastering knowledge and skills and promote the innovation of the education and teaching model. The model interaction site is created, a ranking system is developed, and professional standards for the new era are developed to help educators reconstruct their professional competencies. The concept and characteristics of knowledge sharing in the ubiquitous network environment are analyzed, the knowledge sharing model in the ubiquitous network learning environment is constructed, the status of knowledge sharing practice in the ubiquitous network environment is studied, and suggestions for improvement are put forward to optimize knowledge sharing in the ubiquitous network learning environment.

Remote sensing to control respiratory viral diseases outbreaks using Internet of Vehicles

AbstractThe respiratory viral diseases, such as those caused by the family of coronaviruses, can be extremely contagious and spread through saliva droplets generated by coughing, sneezing, or breathing. In humans, the most common symptoms of the infection include fever and difficulty in breathing. In order to reduce the diffusion of the current “Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19)” pandemic, the Internet of Things technologies can play an important role; for instance, they can be effectively used for implementing a real‐time patient tracking and warning system at a city scale. Crucial places to install the tracking IoT devices are the public/private vehicles that, augmented with multiple connectivity solutions, can implement the Internet of Vehicles paradigm. In such ubiquitous network environment, vehicles are equipped with a variety of sensors, including regular cameras that can be replaced with thermal cameras. Therefore, this article proposes a new design for widely detecting respiratory viral diseases that leverages IoV to collect real‐time body temperature and breathing rate measurements of pedestrians. This information can be used to recognize geographic areas affected by possible COVID‐19 cases and to implement proactive preventive strategies that would further limit the spread of the disease.

Prediction of DDoS Attacksusing Machine Learning and Deep Learning Algorithms

With the emergence of network-based computing technologies like Cloud Computing, Fog Computing and IoT (Internet of Things), the context of digitizing the confidential data over the network is being adopted by various organizations where the security of that sensitive data is considered as a major concern. Over a decade there is a massive growth in the usage of internet along with the technological advancements that demand the need for the development of efficient security algorithms that could withstand various patterns of the security breaches. The DDoS attack is the most significant network-based attack in the domain of computer security that disrupts the internet traffic of the target server. This study mainly focuses to identify the advancements and research gaps in the development of efficient security algorithms addressing DDoS attacks in various ubiquitous network environments.

Phone-to-Phone Communication Utilizing WiFi Hotspot in Energy-Constrained Pocket Switched Networks

In pocket switched networks (PSNs), devices carried by humans form a network environment, which utilizes both human mobility and occasional connectivity to deliver messages among mobile devices. Mobile phones are widely used in our daily lives. Therefore, the PSN composed of human-carried mobile phones will soon become an ubiquitous network environment. In this paper, we propose a communication strategy that applies the WiFi hotspot mode of a mobile phone in the PSN to realize the device-to-device communications. However, due to the lack of energy supply, a phone in hotspot mode could rapidly consume energy and shorten its battery lifetime significantly. To maximize the message dissemination scope within the limited energy constraint of each phone in PSNs, an Energy-efficient Phone-to-phone Communication method based on WiFi Hotspot (EPCWH) is presented to schedule the phone's switching between hotspot mode and client mode. Simulations based on the synthetic random-waypoint mobility pattern and real traces are conducted in an opportunistic network environment; the results show that EPCWH achieves the best performance in terms of message dissemination and energy consumption among different switching strategies.

XMDR-DAI-based USN multimedia MetaData management agent for sensor networks

In a ubiquitous sensor network (USN) environment, it is necessary to define and manage a single metadata between the multimedia sensor and multimedia sensor node for interoperability purposes. One method to resolve this issue is the SensorML (Sensor Model Language), which is standard language that can be applied to sensor modeling. SensorML describes the model for data processing between multimedia sensors and provides a framework that can describe the information of each sensor. In this paper, an XMDR-DAI-based USN multimedia metadata is defined to describe the application of sensor devices, sensor nodes and sensor network information. And then an agent technology is used for effective storing and search of XMDR-DAI-based USN multimedia metadata. Sensor multimedia metadata can maintain interoperability in a USN multimedia environment based on SensorML, and the metadata management system can be directly used for metadata management in USN multimedia middleware or applications.

Simulation framework of ubiquitous network environments for designing diverse network robots

Smart homes provide residents with services that offer convenience using sensor networks and a variety of ubiquitous instruments. Network robots based on such networks can perform direct services for these residents. Information from various ubiquitous instruments and sensors located in smart homes is shared with network robots. These robots effectively help residents in their daily routine by accessing this information. However, the development of network robots in an actual environment requires significant time, space, labor, and money. A network robot that has not been fully developed may cause physical damage in unexpected situations. In this paper, we propose a framework that allows the design and simulation of network robot avatars and a variety of smart homes in a virtual environment to address the above problems. This framework activates a network robot avatar based on information obtained from various sensors mounted in the smart home; these sensors identify the daily routine of the human avatar residing in the smart home. Algorithms that include reinforcement learning and action planning are integrated to enable the network robot avatar to serve the human avatar. Further, this paper develops a network robot simulator to verify whether the network robot functions effectively using the framework.

Expecially, Smart Learning Environment is in changing paradigm existing teacher centered environment and learner centered environment, recently the demand of Smart Learning Environment for learners are growing up. This study analyzed Learning Environments for Smart Learning Environment focused on the learners through analyzing Ubiquitous Network Environment that is concentrated on the physical aspects and the non-physical aspects. Also, we suggested learning several ways that can be effectively applied based on the environmental characteristics of Smart Learning.

CBDAC: Context-Based Dynamic Access Control Model Using Intuitive 5W1H for Ubiquitous Sensor Network

Currently, access control is facing many issues for information protection in the ubiquitous sensor network (USN) environment. In particular, dynamic access control is a central problem where context always changes because of volatile ubiquitous sensors. The use of context is important in USN. In this paper, we focus on the context-driven privacy protection model. In context-based access control research, the access permission technique that uses context is being intensely investigated because of the ease with which various dynamic access permissions can be assigned in accordance with the various changes in context. A key feature of this approach is dynamic access control. Therefore, we propose a model for privacy preservation that is context-based dynamic access control that uses intuitive 5W1H for USN. According to this model, the access control strategy can be determined dynamically based on context elements and subject attributes, in addition to objects and operations, using access control entities; therefore, it is relatively easy to infer the dynamic access control of context expressivity both accurately and efficiently.

Authentication in Ubiquitous Networking

Mobile authentication is an essential service to ensure the security of engaging parties in a ubiquitous wireless network environment. Several solutions have been proposed mainly based on both centralised and distributed authentication models to allow ubiquitous mobile access authentication; however, limitations still exist in these approaches, namely flexibility, security and performance issues and vulnerabilities. These shortcomings are influenced by the resource limitations of both wireless networks and the mobile devices together with inter-technology and inter-provider challenges. In this paper, the authors reviewed the major techniques in the field of ubiquitous mobile access authentication, which has attracted many researchers in the past decade. After investigating existing mobile authentication models and approaches, the common challenges are summarised to serve as the solution key requirements. The identified key solution requirements allow analysing and evaluating mobile authentication approaches.

Real-Time Connection Monitoring of Ubiquitous Networks for Intrusion Prediction: A SequentialKNN Voting Approach

In the ubiquitous network environment where numerous devices are connecting each other, it is believed that security will play an important role in overall network management. And the wireless sensor network (WSN) is commonly considered to be one of such networks prone to a wide range of attacks due to its inherent characteristics. For the sound operation of WSN, it is important to block malicious connections from the network as early as possible. This paper proposes a novel approach to real-time monitoring of network by using the sequentialKNN voting. When connection data is sequentially recorded on the log, the final result of ongoing behavior is predicted probabilistically with only partial data, which iterates consecutively as additional connection data are accumulated to the log. Once this predicted probability reaches certain preset threshold value for possible network intrusion, then we can do some preventive actions for this ongoing connection. The value of this research lies in that the eventualities are predicted at the early stage of connection with partial information available. Since the prediction uses sequentialKNN voting, the accuracy of our approach can be even more enhanced as with the volume of log grows.

Modeling and Analysis of Mobility Management in Wireless Communication Networks

This paper analyzes the new challenges that mobile management faces against to variety of access network coexistence and large number of mobile terminal access demanding in the future. According to the existing researches and the typical exemplification, this paper illuminates the definition and classification of location management. Based on this, a model framework of location management cost is proposed and it will have extremely vital significance for guiding 4G and the mobility management in the future. Finally, it points out the new challenges and new topic about mobility management in the future ubiquitous network and heterogeneous network environment.

A Smart Service Robot Middleware on Ubiquitous Network Environments

As the importance of robot software has increased, a number of research on robot middleware within client-server architecture has been produced for the past several years. Those middleware usually provide convenient environments, where developers are able to develop robot services in conjunction with the existing libraries. Therefore, rich libraries are essential in the robot middleware. This paper introduces experience learned while developing robot software using the middleware. The middleware allows a robot's functions to be described in XML, to be registered to a Web Service server, and to be reused as a Web Service. The approach has some advantages: separation a robot's abstract behaviors from hardware dependent implementation, reuse of the existing robot software implementation, and finally, the possibility of cooperation among various robots.

Design Study of the U-city Home Network Architecture of Cloud Computing

According to the recent advancement of wired and wireless communication network technology such as mobile communication and high-speed Internet, home network service based on Internet information appliance makes great strides. Particularly, the UPnP based technology that guarantees QoS for heterogeneous devices is now applied to the development of various home network services, on the other hand, is very difficult for individual user to find any service of appliance they need and it would take a lot of time. Hence, this paper defines a new paradigm as Electronic as a Service using cloud computing for next-generation ubiquitous network environments and propose new U-City home network architecture. The system shows that ubiquitous services can be provided to users effectively in a Home network environment. The performance of the developed proposed system is observed by measuring the data processing time. The system shows that ubiquitous services can be provided to users effectively in a Home network environment.

Spatial TinyDB: A Spatial Sensor Database System for the USN Environment

For the Ubiquitous Sensor Network (USN) environment, which generally uses spatial as well as aspatial sensor data, a sensor database system to manage these data is essential. For this reason, sensor database systems such as TinyDB and Cougar are being developed by researchers. However, as most of these systems do not support spatial data types and spatial operators for managing spatial sensor data, they are not suitable for the USN environment. Therefore, in this paper, we design and implement Spatial TinyDB which is a spatial sensor database system that extends TinyDB to support spatial data types and spatial operators for the efficient management of spatial sensor data. In particular, Spatial TinyDB provides memory management and filtering functions to reduce system overload caused by sensor data streams. Finally, we prove that Spatial TinyDB is superior by comparing its actual performance, in terms of execution time, accuracy, and memory usage, with that of TinyDB.

Utility optimization scheduling for multi-point video surveillance in ubiquitous network

Resource allocation is an important problem in ubiquitous network. Most of the existing resource allocation methods considering only wireless networks are not suitable for the ubiquitous network environment, and they will harm the interest of individual users with instable resource requirements. This paper considers the multi-point video surveillance scenarios in a complex network environment with both wired and wireless networks. We introduce the utility estimated by the total costs of an individual network user. The problem is studied through mathematical modeling and we propose an improved problem-specific branch-and-cut algorithm to solve it. The algorithm follows the divide-and-conquer principle and fully considers the duality feature of network selection. The experiment is conducted by simulation through C and Lingo. And it shows that compared with a centralized random allocation scheme and a cost greed allocation scheme, the proposed scheme has better performance of reducing the total costs by 13.0% and 30.6% respectively for the user.

Hybrid-Context-Aware Web Service Selection Approach

In ubiquitous network environment, Web service selection is still challenging since (1) network and resources change frequently, (2) the capabilities of devices and terminals are quite different, and (3) the data type of context information is hybrid. In this paper, we presents a context model which is described by hybrid data type such as real number, interval number, triangular fuzzy number, intuitionistic fuzzy number to describe the information of user and service with uncertainties. In order to solve the difficulties above for the first time, we also presents a Hybrid-Context-Aware Web Service Selection Approach (called HCA_WSSA) which includes context matching algorithm and optimal selection algorithm. A set of experiments demonstrate our approach is very effective.

IMS 확장을 통한 유비쿼터스 네트워크 환경에서의 서비스 연속성 지원

사용자가 사용할 수 있는 단말이 다수 개가 되고, 수많은 단말들이 네트워크에 연결되는 유비쿼터스 네트워크 환경을 지원하는 NGN에서는 단말 이동성 지원 뿐 만 아니라 서비스 연속성 지원 또한 매우 중요하다. NGN에서는 기본 전화 서비스 뿐 만 아니라 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 IMS를 통해 사용자에게 제공한다. NGN에서의 서비스 연속성 지원을 위해 현재의 IMS에서도 단말 간 진행 중인 세션을 이동할 수 있는 이른 바 IUT(Inter-UE Transfer) 기능을 제공하고 있다. 그러나 IMS 서비스 연속성 제공 기능은, 현재 세션을 유지하고 있는 단말 및 세션을 이동할 목표 단말이 모두 같은 사용자의 단말이어야 한다는 한계가 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위하여 단말 디스커버리 기능과 IMS UE의 기능을 확장하였고, IMS 확장이 기존 방법에 비하여 얼마나 오버헤드가 생길 것인지 분석하였다. It is of great significance in the NGN - which supports a ubiquitous network environment in which users can use multiple devices and all the devices are connected to networks - to support the terminal mobility as well as service continuity. The IMS architecture, which is considered as session control layer in the NGN, exists to support a wide range of advanced new services in addition to the traditional voice and data connectivity offerings of "old" telecommunications. The recent IMS specification also defines IUT (Inter UE Session Transfer) functionality in order to support service continuity in the NGN. However, service continuity in IMS has a limitation that two terminals involved in session transfer should belong to the same user. In this paper, we proposed a new device discovery mechanism for IMS and extended UEs with a few capabilities to overcome some of IMS's limitations. We also analysed how much overhead of the proposed method in terms of signaling cost will be.
