Design and Implementation of a Feasible Model for the IoT Based Ubiquitous Healthcare Monitoring System for Rural and Urban Areas

The Internet of Things (IoT) based real-time health monitoring system has contributed towards a brilliant human welfare both in urban and rural areas. Many of such solutions are not well applicable in developing countries like Bangladesh due to lack of uninterrupted communication system. In this paper, we present an IoT-based real-time health monitoring system that can measure, monitor and report people’s health condition online and offline from anywhere. Our proposed IoT based solution is capable to transmit the sensitive health information to medical centres and caregivers in real time. The proposed system has been designed with Arduino UNO, Nodemcu, and GSM modules to measure body temperature, pulse rate, oxygen saturation, room temperature, and air quality in a smart home setting. The system can also provide the patient’s historical health records. Our implementation was tested on some test cases which works excellent with accuracy. The proposed system has high potentiality for the rural and urban areas in developing countries.

A Trusted Ubiquitous Healthcare Monitoring System for Hospital Environment

Wireless Body Sensor Network with wearable and implantable body sensors have been grabbing lot of interests among the researchers and healthcare service providers. These sensors forward physiological data to the personnel at the hospital, doctor or caretaker anytime, anywhere; hence the name of the network is Ubiquitous health monitoring system. The technology has brought Internet of Things into this system making it to get connected to the cloud based internet. This has made the retrieval of information to the expert and thus improving the happiness of elderly people and patients suffering from chronic diseases. This paper focuses on creating an android based application for monitoring patients in hospital environment. The necessity of sharing hospital data to the experts around the globe has brought the necessity of trust in Health care systems. The data sharing in the IOT environment is secured. The environment is tested in real-time cloud environment. The proposed android application serves to be better architecture for hospital monitoring.

Design and Development of a Ubiquitous Healthcare Monitoring System Based on Android Platform

With the rapid aging populations in developed and developing countries and the increase of non-communicable disease, the contradiction between increasing healthcare demands and the lack of medical specialists have become more and more serious. Wearable personal health devices (PHDs) provide a good solution of this problem. But due to the proprietary interface and protocol, the compatibility and extensibility problem among different PHD manufacturers strongly influenced the spread application of the wearable PHDs. So we design and develop a ubiquitous healthcare system for Android tablet, which can not only acquire and process the physiological signals from non-standard laboratory developed multifunction wearable sensors, but also acquire and process the physiological signals from standard PHDs comply with Continua Alliance or ISO/IEEE 11073 standards. The preliminary results demonstrate that this system can not only receive data from standard and non-standard PHDs, but also do the arrhythmia classification and heart rate analysis in real time.

Ubiquitous Healthcare Monitoring System Using Integrated Triaxial Accelerometer, Spo2 and Location Sensors

Ubiquitous healthcare has become one of the prominent areas of research inorder to address the challenges encountered in healthcare environment. In contribution to this area, this study developed a system prototype that recommends diagonostic services based on physiological data collected in real time from a distant patient. The prototype uses WBAN body sensors to be worn by the individual and an android smart phone as a personal server. Physiological data is collected and uploaded to a Medical Health Server (MHS) via GPRS/internet to be analysed. Our implemented prototype monitors the activity, location and physiological data such as SpO2 and Heart Rate (HR) of the elderly and patients in rehabilitation. The uploaded information can be accessed in real time by medical practitioners through a web application.

하이브리드 앱을 이용한 모바일 헬스케어 시스템 구현에 관한 연구

Mobile Healthcare is a new type of health care services for managing health and life irrespective of time and space by uniting IT and BT. For this service bio-signal measurement using WBAN, and data analysis and monitoring technologies based on mobile devices are essential. Generally, however, mobile application has low compatibility because of the features of mobile platform, we have to redevelop it to support the corresponding platform. In this paper we introduce a Mobile Healthcare System which can function as gateway and monitoring based on hybrid app to create ubiquitous healthcare monitoring system compatible with various mobile devices by overcoming the difference of platforms. The proposed system consists of sensor composition part, monitoring composition part, and server composition part.

The Mobile device like smart phone is a small computing device and easy to carry around. The Mobile devices are wildly being used as desktop personal computer and can served individual services. Because of compatibility of applications working on mobile devices are not good, so developer need to develop it that match changes in platform fetures. In this paper, we design and implementate ubiquitous healthcare monitoring system that can be runs on many different platforms using HTML5 as a standard web development language and jQuery as a javascript library. Ubiquitous healthcare monitoring system is runs on on many different platforms like mobile platforms and desktop web browsers.

An ubiquitous healthcare monitoring system for elderly person at home was designed for continuous healthy monitoring of elderly person or patients. Human vital signals, such as ECG and body temperature, were monitored by terminal PC or PDA via ECG and temperature sensor nodes on the patient's body. From the ECG data, the heart rate, tachycardia, bradycardia and arrhythmia were diagnosed on the terminal PC or PDA to assist doctor's or nurse's aid or patient itself to monitor the patient's condition and give medical examination. Artificial judgement support system was designed in server computer and the system support a doctor or nurser for management or treatment of the patient. This system can be applied to vital signal monitoring system for solitude elderly person at self house or home health care service part. And this ubiquitous healthcare system can reduce the medical expenses in coming aging or aged society.
