DEVELOPMENT OF CASSAVA CHIP PRODUCTION IN THE KERANGGAN ECO- TOURISM VILLAGE BY IMPLEMENTING CREATIVE AND INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY

The Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, particularly in achieving economic growth and improving citizens' welfare, relies heavily on sustainable regional development and enhanced local potential. Kampung Ekowisata Keranggan in South Tangerang is one example of an area with significant potential, supported by active community engagement. Its natural beauty, located on the banks of the Cisadane River, draws visitors, and local efforts, such as the establishment of a tourism awareness group in 2020, have contributed to managing these attractions. The growth of MSMEs, particularly in the snack food sector, has supported tourism, but challenges arise with the increasing demand for food production and product diversity. Many MSME actors struggle with the lack of tools to streamline production and offer a wider variety of products. This village empowerment program aims to address these challenges by introducing innovative and appropriate technology, supported by continuous community involvement, to accelerate production and maintain the uniqueness of the region's tourism.

Implementation of Good Tourism Governance Based on Local Wisdom in Increasing Community Income in the Simanindo Samosir Tourism Village, North Sumatra

Good tourism governance based on local wisdom is the management of tourist villages carried out based on the principles of participation, accountability and evaluation based on cultural values that grow and develop in society, such as mutual trust, mutual support, mutual cooperation and so on. The method of activity carried out in this community service is socialization, training, simulation and mentoring for several days to the community and tourism awareness groups in the Simanindo Samosir tourist village, North Sumatra so that there is an increase in knowledge, attitudes, skills and behavior of tourism awareness group administrators. and society and society and apply the concepts that have been presented in the training. The results of the activities carried out showed that the Simanindo tourist village community and village officials as well as tourism awareness groups seemed enthusiastic about listening to and following the event until it was finished and committed to implementing it. On the first day, the venue is mapped and the technicalities of the event are discussed, the event rundown and who will be invited the following day. On the second day it was held from 14 to 18, accompanied by lectures, questions and answers and long discussions. Thus, it can be concluded that community service activities have received a positive response and we hope that similar activities can be carried out in the future. This community service was closed with a group photo and distributing "I'm Tourist Friendly" stickers so that tourist friendliness remains embedded in the community of the Simanindo tourist village, Samosir, North Sumatra.

Pelatihan Pengolahan Minuman Berbahan Lokal Menjadi Produk Bernilai Ekonomi di Desa Margacinta, Pangandaran

This community service activity aims to improve basic knowledge of skills in making drinks from plantations and agriculture that grow around the village, as well as to improve the entrepreneurial spirit for managers of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) and Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis) in Margacinta Village, Cijulang District, Pangandaran Regency. The activity was carried out at the Karangkamal Hamlet Hall and was attended by 25 participants. The delivery method was carried out using interactive and demonstrative counseling techniques, with the aim of transforming knowledge, attitudes and skills as well as achieving prosperous village communities. The results of the activity showed an increase in the skills and understanding of the participants regarding the utilization and knowledge of plantations and agriculture, namely coconut and honje, which are processed into mixed drinks with the hope that the benefits, uses, processing and results of the drinks contained therein can be obtained. as well as in terms of processing plantation and agricultural products from the garden to being served in a glass, as well as the motivation and follow-up of participants in making, producing and even consuming their own beverage products along with the utilization of other commodities have been successfully improved through this activity.

Strategi Komunikasi Lingkungan Ekowisata Taman Mangrove Jung Koneng Bangkalan untuk Rehabilitasi

Examining the environmental communication strategy implemented by the Payung Kuning Tourism Awareness Group as the manager of the Jung Koneng Mangrove Park in Labuhan Village, Ten District, Bangkalan. Starting from damage to the coastal environment due to the behavior of people who do not care about the sustainability of the mangrove ecosystem, as well as uncontrolled piles of rubbish, resulting in a significant decline in environmental quality. Using descriptive qualitative methods, researchers identified strategic steps in environmental communication which were grouped into four main stages, namely situation analysis, planning, media production, and action and reflection. At the situation analysis stage, Pokdarwis identified the environmental problems faced and the actors involved in mangrove rehabilitation. The planning stage involves developing a communication strategy based on local conditions, collaboration with external parties, and the use of traditional and digital media. In the media production stage, various communication channels such as social media, face-to-face discussions, and visual learning media are used to convey educational messages. The final stage, action and reflection, focuses on implementing rehabilitation activities and evaluating the impact of the communication strategies that have been implemented. Community participation not only contributes to the successful rehabilitation of the mangrove ecosystem, but also increases the community's social and economic awareness regarding ecotourism potential. Collaborative Governance Networks Supporting Sustainable Ecotourism: A Case Study of Gili Iyang Island, Indonesia

The development of sustainable ecotourism on Gili Iyang Island, known for its high oxygen levels and unique local culture, requires collaboration among diverse stakeholders through effective governance networks. This study investigates the roles and contributions of key stakeholders—including the Sumenep District Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office (Dinas Pariwisata, Kebudayaan, Pemuda, dan Olahraga Kabupaten Sumenep or Disparbudpora), the Andang Taruna Tourism Awareness Group (Kelompok Sadar Wisata Andang Taruna or Pokdarwis), village governments, and local communities—in developing ecotourism on Gili Iyang Island, Indonesia. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Findings show that governance networks are crucial in enhancing community empowerment, building local capacity, and improving infrastructure to support ecotourism. Nevertheless, challenges remain, including limited resources, conflicts between villages, and minimal private-sector engagement. Strengthening Pokdarwis’ managerial capacity, fostering inter-community synergies, and attracting private sector involvement are identified as essential strategies to ensure sustainable ecotourism. This research contributes to the broader literature on collaborative governance in remote island ecotourism, offering practical insights for policymakers and stakeholders aiming to create resilient, community-driven tourism initiatives that can be adapted to similar island settings.

Membangun Kapasitas Pokdarwis: Pelatihan Pengelolaan Wisata Interaktif Dam Kembar yang Berkelanjutan di Desa Ajung

Tourism is a potential sector that can drive local economic growth, especially in rural areas that are rich in natural and cultural beauty. Ajung Village, with ecotourism potential in the Twin Dam Tourism area, has formed a Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group) to manage and develop the tourist destination. To support effective tourism management and promotion, training and capacity building for Pokdarwis was conducted, which included tourism management and the application of digital technology. The training activities included an introduction to the Widamar ecotourism concept, promotion strategies, and the use of technology such as websites and augmented reality. The results showed a significant increase in Pokdarwis' understanding, with the average post-test score increasing compared to the pre-test, indicating that the training was successful in improving Pokdarwis' knowledge and skills in tourism management and promotion. The implementation of digital technology in tourism promotion also provides added value in efforts to attract tourists to Ajung Village.

Implementation of Human Resource Development in Ecotourism Development of Braja Harjosari Village

Braja Harjosari Village is a buffer village in the Way Kambas National Park area. In supporting the tourism potential in Braja Harjosari Village, in 2022, it established community-based ecotourism village regulations. This study aims to analyze the implementation of ecotourism village regulations in Braja Harjosari Village, Lampung, focusing on human resource development and public support in community-based ecotourism management. The findings show that the active participation of stakeholders, including village officials, tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis), Way Kambas National Park, and local communities, plays a significant role in promoting sustainable tourism and preserving the local environment and culture. Formal communication and mutual agreements among stakeholders ensure effective information delivery. Training programs held by Pokdarwis and village officials have been shown to improve the technical skills and business acumen of the community, supporting sustainable ecotourism development. The synergy between Pokdarwis and village officials, supported by good regulations, has driven economic growth while preserving the environment. Community awareness of environmental preservation and openness to visitors create a positive cycle that supports the sustainability of ecotourism, improves community welfare, and preserves biodiversity and local culture in Braja Harjosari Village.

PELATIHAN PENGEMBANGAN AGRO EDU WISATA MENUJU SMART VILLAGE YANG BERKELANJUTAN PADA KELOMPOK MILENIAL

Agro edu-tourism is an alternative to community economic development, especially in rural areas, which can increase the income and welfare of local residents through the tourism and agriculture sectors. Sindulang Village is one of the villages that has great potential in the agricultural and tourism sectors. With this great potential, the Sangga Buana University Community Service team together with partners from local millennial groups aim to make the agricultural land area in Sindulang Village an Agro Edu Tourism object towards a sustainable Smart Village. One of the important factors to achieve the realization of the objectives of this activity is by improving the quality of human resources of partners. Several problems were found that became obstacles to the realization of agro edu tourism development in terms of knowledge about the agricultural production process, digital marketing-based marketing, and Tourism Awareness Groups. The method of implementation in this activity is by conducting training, demonstrations, and discussions with service partner participants. The results of the implementation of the training increased understanding and knowledge of the material raised from the obstacles experienced. So that after the training is carried out, agro edu tourism planning towards a smart village which is the goal of this activity can be continued by looking at various other factors, guidance on utilizing digital marketing, keeping financial records, photography, managing the development of tourism packages, and handling tourism risk management.

Peran Pemerintah Daerah dalam Mengembangkan Objek Wisata di Danau Tiwu Sora, Desa Tiwu Sora, Kecamatan Lepembusu Kelisoke, Kabupaten Ende

This research is entitled “The Role of Local Government in Developing Tourism Objects at Tiwu Sora Lake, Tiwu Sora Village, Lepembusu Kelisoke District, Ende Regency”. This study aims to determine the role of local government in developing tourist attractions at Lake Tiwu Sora. This research discusses the role of government in the implementation of tourist attraction development and there are suggestions to provide input to the local government. This research design uses qualitative research methods and descriptive approaches. The author uses data collection techniques of observation, interviews, documentation in the data collection process besides that there are data analysis techniques using the method of reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the role of the local government in developing the Lake Tiwu Sora tourist attraction has not gone well as evidenced by the many facilities at the tourist attraction that are not well cared for, and the road to the Lake Tiwu Sora tourist attraction is damaged. In the process of developing tourist attractions, the local government pays attention to the socio-economics of village communities in tourist attractions by forming tourism awareness groups.

COLLABORATIVE BASED TOURISM GOVERNANCE MODEL IN SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

Tourism has great potential to improve the economy, create jobs, and support the development of various regions. However, improper tourism management can cause problems such as environmental degradation, excessive tourism and unequal economic benefits. Therefore, it is essential that collaborative-based tourism management can be effective in developing sustainable tourism. This research aims to identify collaborative-based tourism governance research in tourism development. The output of this research is to provide recommendations for a collaborative-based tourism governance model to impact tourism development in the Tenjolaya sub-district, Bogor Regency. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with 28 informants from the sub-district government and the Tenjolaya tourism awareness group. After the data was collected using data collection techniques through observation, interviews, field notes, analytical memos, and document elicitation, the researcher continued the analysis of the data obtained and then confirmed it using data validity techniques. The research results show that tourism governance in Tenjolaya has implemented collaborative governance even though it is still local, so every indicator still needs to be optimally fulfilled using the good tourism governance model and the public-private partnership model. Thus, tourism governance in Tenjolaya must focus on good tourism collaboration so that tourism goals in Tenjolaya can be achieved based on fulfilling indicators that support good tourism governance, good tourism development and good tourism sustainability.

Enhancing the Capacity of Tourism Awareness Groups in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation at the Tanjung Batu Mangrove Ecotourism, Sekotong Tengah Village, West Lombok Regency

Mangrove Ecotourism in Tanjung Batu is one of the unique tourist attractions on Lombok Island, featuring a scenic 11-hectare mangrove area with dense vegetation coverage. The site is equipped with several facilities, including a 417-meter wooden bridge, several gazebos, selfie spots, a homestay, and a café. The ecotourism management is handled by the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) of Sekotong Tengah Village. This destination is quite popular, with no fewer than 300 tourists visiting each month. However, this area is prone to climate-related disaster risks such as tidal floods, strong winds, high waves, floods, and droughts. Additionally, the ecotourism management has mainly focused on physical aspects and lacks sufficient managerial skills for implementing a sustainable governance system. The proposed solution is to strengthen the Pokdarwis management to improve ecotourism governance, optimizing its potential to deliver greater social, economic, and environmental value while contributing to climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts. The conclusion from the community service activity is that to address these challenges, the community is committed to preserving the mangrove ecosystem, preventing disturbances from both internal and external factors, and managing ecotourism in a way that benefits the surrounding community by reducing climate-related disaster risks. Priority activities include mangrove rehabilitation and enrichment, beach cleanup, monthly management meetings, semi-annual evaluations, and promptly developing plans to strengthen the fishermen's economy through involvement in marine tourism packages

Boosting Competitiveness: Digital Branding of The Sreseh Mangrove Tourism Spot in Marparan Village

Tourism acts as a conduit for enhancing the economic conditionsof villages located near tourist destinations. Sreseh Mangrove Tourism (WMS) inMarparan Village is a recently established tourist destination in Sampang Regency.The Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) faces various obstacles in managing andconserving nature. These factors encompass the local population’s limited levelof technology skills and the absence of digital branding as a means of promotion.Digital branding is a very efficient promotional tool in the current technology agedue to its ability to engage with social media users rapidly. Producing captivatingcontent is essential as it has a favorable impact on public opinion and draws peopleto tourist destinations. In order to tackle this issue, we have established a programaimed at improving Pokdarwis’ proficiency in utilizing technology for promotionalpurposes. This curriculum encompasses instruction, development, and supportin the realm of digital branding. The program was successfully implemented,substantially enhancing participants’ proficiency in generating digital material. Theparticipants’ videos were posted on Marparan Village’s Instagram page. There arepotential prospects for creating a mobile application in the future that includesdigital content videos, digital promotions, and a directory of rental and vacationchoices.

Upgrading the Capacity of Local Community and Tourism Branding in Pagar Jaya Village

Pagar Jaya Village is a coastal area at the southernmost tip of SumatraIsland and isolated in Punduh Pidada District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung becomingone of the tourism villages in Lampung that has two main problems poor accessibilityand low capacity of the community. As a result of this problem, the "KITA PAGAR JAYA"program has successfully enhanced the community’s capacity in tourism, particularlyin the area of tourism branding. This program itself is implemented with SadarWisata and Sapta Pesona approaches. It was developed on 4 stages, first stage ispotential and problem identification, second stage is delivering material about tourismmanagement, the third is about MSMEs and branding knowledge, and the last stageis about evaluation of tourism management to develop sustainable system in PagarJaya Tourism. The implication of this program is to enhance the local community’scapacity to manage tourism by focusing on Sadar Wisata, Sapta Pesona, and disastermanagement. As a result, more community members are joining the Pagar JayaVillage Tourism Awareness Group and MSMEs to help with tourism management. Theprogram also includes creating promotional materials like pocketbooks, tourism videos,and social media campaigns to enhance the branding of Pagar Jaya Village.

Strengthening the Tourism Village Program: Educational Tourism on Waste Bank and Clean and Healthy Living Behavior

Sawahan Village, Watulimo Subdistrict, Trenggalek Regency, is one of the tourist village areas developed by the local community. Several tourism programs have been established by the local tourism awareness groups, including durian forest tourism. In 2023, a chlorine diffuser technology was implemented to support the development of the tourist village, ensuring access to clean water. This appropriate technology is not only designed to produce clean water but also serves as a strategy to meet the requirements of Clean and Healthy Behavior (CHB). In 2024, community service has focused more on waste management through a waste bank. The methods employed include Focus Group Discussions (FGD) on educational tourism through waste banks, education on the separation of organic and inorganic waste, and community assistance with Clean and Healthy Behavior (CHB). The activities conducted resulted in increased community knowledge about waste banks, from 10 people (10%) to 48 people (96%). Not only did the community's knowledge improve, but their behavior also changed, with the creation of separate waste containers for organic and inorganic waste increasing from 3 people (6%) to 38 people (76%). Additionally, the community's behavior regarding clean and healthy living improved, with handwashing facilities available in every home and throughout the tourist area, reaching 50 people (100%). These changes in knowledge and behavior indicate that community service activities can only succeed with the community's willingness and ability to achieve sustainability and self-sufficiency.

Implementation Of Tourism Policies In The Development Of Jerowaru Tourism Village, East Lombok

Alternative tourism through the development and empowerment of village communities is one solution to address poverty in coastal areas. Jerowaru Tourism Village is one of the villages implementing this policy. A case study method and Woolcock’s social capital theory are used to assess the extent of the policy's success, particularly regarding community participation in tourism village development. Data were collected through observation, interviews with community informants and stakeholders, as well as field documentation. The analysis results, through reduction and conclusion drawing, indicate that the implementation of policies, particularly for tourism villages, refers to the Tourism Law, Regional Autonomy Law, Regulation No. 10 of 2020, the Long-Term Development Plan, local regulations, and the NTB Governor's Regulation of 2021. Several important aspects support the implementation of the tourism village policy. First, there is the aspect of tourism policy implementation in Jerowaru, which includes coordination, communication, and disposition. Second, there is the aspect of community awareness and involvement, particularly the role of tourism awareness groups, especially among the youth. Third, there is the aspect of initiation. The initiation of tourism village development is driven by the tourism awareness community as a manifestation of independence and awareness in developing potential and ensuring sustainable environmental protection.

Increasing Tourism Potential through Natural Resource Management and Development of Tourism Packages in Building Independence and Productivity of the Ngulungwetan Village Community

PPK ORMAWA is one of the MBKM activities held by the government to support student education so that it can be directly conveyed to the Indonesian people through students. The ORMAWA PPK activity is an activity that has 3 program aspects, one of which is Promotional Media, Services, and Tourism Village Product Requirements. Ngulungwetan Village is a tourist village where this village is also one of the villages where the average community has a low level of awareness of the potential of tourist villages. So with the tourist attraction of beach camping as a tourism village product in Ngulungwetan Village, now the community and pokdarwis (tourism awareness groups) can manage tourism well. Camping tourism uses Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Regulation Number 7 of 2021, the KBLI group is included in the low-scale business category which must have a business permit in the form of a business registration number (NIB) (KEMENPAREKRAF, 2021). This service aims to increase the attractiveness of local and foreign tourists because there are tourist destinations in Ngulungwetan Village. The results obtained are that the ORMAWA PPK Team has created this program. With this program, it is hoped that it can increase the attractiveness of the community in Ngulungwetan Village in the world of tourism. So, with this program, it can improve the management of the tourist attraction of Kebo Beach, Ngulungwetan tourist village, especially beach camping as a superior product of the tourist village.

Pemberdayaan Masyrakat dalam Pengembangan Desa Wisata Berbasis Digital di Desa Gogik Kabupaten Semarang

Gogik is a village that has two hamlets, Gogik and Gintungan hamlets. Gogik Village is located in West Ungaran District, Semarang Regency, Central Java. The area of Gogik village is around 18,000 m2, with the border of the village area from the north namely Candirejo Village, east of PTPN IX, south of Gebugan Village, and west by Langensari Village. The climate of Gogik village is at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level with an average daily temperature of 27, so the atmosphere is very cool. Gogik Village is a village with a lot of potential in nature, culture and traditions that are still maintained today. As for one of the natural potentials that exist in the village such as: Semirang waterfall, Embung Sukoponco, Kebon Nutmeg PTP Ngobo, local food from Gogik Village, and of course the panoramic view of the foot of Mount Ungaran, as well as several other potentials. The potential is very much, of course, efforts are needed to optimize it to support Gogik Village as a digital-based Tourism Village. POKDARWIS is one of the tourism-aware organizations in Gogik village, with quite good community participation, but still not supported by qualified skills in using IT to promote the village's potential. This is certainly an obstacle in the development of digital-based tourism villages. Therefore, the UNNES service team will collaborate with the POKDARWIS institution (Tourism Awareness Group) Gogik Village, West Ungaran District, Semarang Regency to optimize regional potential through various kinds of digital-based tourism promotion training, production and packaging of regional specialties so that they can be used as souvenirs, utilization of drone media and video editing for promotion of Gogik village tourism. With innovation and creativity in promoting the natural potential that exists in Digital-based Gogik Village, it can have a big impact on improving the welfare of the village community. The output targets of this service are articles published in journals, articles published in mass media and activity videos.

The Implementation of Tourism Communication for Developing Tourismpreneurship and Destination Branding in Cijengkol Village, Subang

Cijengkol Village in Subang Regency boasts significant local tourism potential, including the Cijengkol Seven Springs known for its water pH resembling infused water, and River Tubing, a popular activity along the upper stretch of the Ciasem river. This community service initiative aims to promote understanding of tourism entrepreneurship and destination branding, vital for harnessing local potential and enhancing regional tourist attractions. By encouraging environmental responsibility and fostering collaboration in developing regional tourism, the program seeks to empower Cijengkol Village residents. Effective tourism communication skills are seen as key to unlocking economic opportunities indirectly. The initiative addresses two main challenges: a lack of awareness regarding tourism's potential as a key sector, affecting micro, small, and medium enterprises, and underutilization of modern digital media for tourism communication. The approach involves specialized training for community members, particularly those involved in Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Cijengkol Village. The outcome includes the formation of Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) candidates who understand a tourism vision and mission aligned with SMART goals for sustainable tourism management. Consequently, the candidates are equipped with collaborative concepts and strategies for tourism management in Cijengkol Village, serving as a foundation for future implementation.

Analysis of the Role of Tourism Awareness Group Communication in Developing Tourism Destinations Based on Local Wisdom in Tipang Village, Baktiraja District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra Province

This research aims to analyze the communication role of the tourism awareness group in Tipang village by prioritizing local wisdom in developing tourism destinations, analyzing the strategies of tourism awareness groups applied in developing tourism destinations, and finding the obstacles experienced by tourism awareness groups in developing tourism destinations based on local wisdom. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological paradigm. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The validity of the data was checked by triangulating interviews with the Lake Toba Authority Implementing Agency (BPODT) and academics who had carried out tourism development activities at the research location. This research found that 1) The communication role of the Tipang village tourism awareness group has three types of roles: active role, participatory role, and passive role.2) Strategy of tourism awareness groups in developing tourism destinations based on local wisdomTipang village implements an integration strategy by involving other tourism destination managers, utilizing information dissemination through social media and print media distributed in strategic areas or places

Bandung as a Creative City in Indonesia: The Role of Community in Developing a Creative Tourism Urban Village Initiative

Bandung City Government, in collaboration with the Bandung City Culture and Tourism Office, has implemented the activation of creative tourism urban villages as a strategic measure to promote regional autonomy through the development of the creative economy. Prior studies have not extensively addressed the concept of creative tourism in urban villages as an alternative form of tourism. Therefore, this research aims to explore the involvement of communities in the management of creative tourism urban villages in Bandung, seeing them as the primary stakeholders. The objective of this study is to chart the potential and obstacles facing creative tourism urban villages in Bandung City from the perspective of tourism awareness groups as managers of creative tourism urban villages. The study employed qualitative methodologies with a phenomenological approach, specifically in-depth interviews with managers of creative tourism urban villages, as well as field observations of 8 activated creative tourism urban villages in Bandung city. The activation of creative tourism urban villages in the city of Bandung to promote the sustainable development goal is characterized by three primary themes: community dynamics, infrastructure readiness and external support. Community dynamics refers to the interactions that take place among community members as they collaborate to establish creative tourism urban villages in different regions through stories, conflicts and the active involvement of community members. The availability of infrastructure is contingent upon the presence of tangible assets that facilitate the execution of creative tourism urban village business operations, encompassing aspects such as road accessibility, parking availability, and building structures. Assistance from external entities refers to the support provided by external parties to foster the growth of creative tourism in urban villages, including mentoring, training, sponsorship, and collaboration networks. The activation of creative tourism urban villages needs to be accompanied by community independence and involvement in a bottom-up development process, not just a top-down one, so as to maintain the sustainability of creative tourism urban villages after the government no longer supports activities carried out by tourism awareness groups.
