Effects of tilted congruence on spherical compact stars

The aim of this paper is to investigate physical characteristics of spherical stars for an observer moving relative to matter distribution in linear regime. We impose shear-free condition to explore numerical solution of the field equations for five well-known compact stars (PSR J1614-2230, PSR J1903+0327, Vela X-1, SMC X-1, Cen X-3) and examine their physical behavior. It is found that all considered compact stars are stable. We conclude that all expected physical features are present related to stellar fluid configuration.

Tilted shear-free axially symmetric fluids

We carry on a systematic study of the physical properties of axially symmetric fluid distributions, which appear to be geodesic, shear--free, irrotational, non--dissipative and purely electric, for the comoving congruence of observers, from the point of view of the tilted congruence. The vanishing of the magnetic part of the Weyl tensor for the comoving congruence of observers, suggests that no gravitational radiation is produced during the evolution of the system. Instead, the magnetic part of the Weyl tensor as measured by tilted observers is non vanishing (as well as the shear, the four--acceleration, the vorticity and the dissipation), giving rise to a flux of gravitational radiation that can be characterized through the super--Poynting vector. This result strengthens further the relevance of the role of observers in the description of a physical system. An explanation of this dual interpretation in terms of the information theory, is provided.

LTB geometry with tilted and nontilted congruences in f(R,T) gravity

We investigate the role of tilted and nontilted congruence in the dynamics of dissipative Lemaître–Tolman–Bondi spacetime in [Formula: see text] gravity. We consider imperfect fluid with its congruences observed by tilted observer and dust fluid filled with LTB geometry observed by the nontilted observer. In order to elaborate the dynamical features of two congruences, we consider well-known [Formula: see text] models and develop relationships between tilted and nontilted dynamical variables. We evaluate the nonzero divergence of energy–momentum tensor for tilted congruence and transport equation for the system in [Formula: see text] gravity. We have also checked the instability regimes for nontilted congruence.

Dynamic of charged planar geometry in tilted and non-tilted frames

We investigate the dynamics of charged planar symmetry with an anisotropic matter field subject to a radially moving observer called a tilted observer. The Einstein-Maxwell field equations are used to obtain a relation between non-tilted and tilted frames and between kinematical and dynamical quantities. Using the Taub mass formalism and conservation laws, two evolution equations are developed to analyze the inhomogeneities in the tilted congruence. It is found that the radial velocity (due to the tilted observer) and the electric charge have a crucial effect on the inhomogeneity factor. Finally, we discuss the stability in the non-tilted frame in the pure diffusion case and examine the effects of the electromagnetic field.

Tilted and non-tilted Gödel-type universe

This paper explores the dynamics of Godel-type geometry for tilted and non-tilted congruences. The kinematical as well as dynamical quantities are investigated for both congruences with non-vanishing nature of vorticity vector. The obtained vorticity is of kinematical type, i.e., not produced by a circular flow of superenergy on the plane orthogonal to the vorticity vector. We conclude that super-Poynting vector is non-zero for the tilted congruence linked with heat flux of fluid distribution while it vanishes in non-tilted case.

Dynamics of tilted spherical star and stability of non-tilted congruence

This paper aims to study the dynamics of spherical star having anisotropic pressure, heat dissipation and shear viscosity with radial four-velocity. We formulate the field equations, equations of motion and equations for the Weyl tensor to study the inhomogeneity factor of the tilted congruence. An evolution equation for the shear is established to explore the stability of the non-tilted congruence. We conclude that the non-tilted congruence is stable for shear-free case.

Bianchi type-V cosmological model with purely magnetic solution

In the present paper we study some new aspects of the Bianchi type-V space time. The Electric and Magnetic parts of Weyl tensors are calculated in terms of tilted congruence and discussed the purely magnetic Weyl tensor. Einstein field equations for purely magnetic space time are obtained and solution of such field equations called purely magnetic solution. To get deterministic solutions of the field equations we consider a new law of variation of average scale factor which yields time dependent deceleration parameter. Certain physical and geometrical properties of the model are also discussed.

Tilted Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi spacetimes: Hydrodynamic and thermodynamic properties

We consider Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi spacetimes from the point of view of a tilted observer, i.e. one with respect to which the fluid is radially moving. The imperfect fluid and the congruence described by its four-velocity, as seen by the tilted observer, is studied in detail. It is shown that from the point of view of such tilted observer, the fluid evolves nonreversibly (i.e. with nonvanishing rate of entropy production). The nongeodesic character of the tilted congruence is related to the nonvanishing of the divergence of the 4-vector entropy flow. We determine the factor related to the existence of energy-density inhomogeneities and describe its evolution; these results are compared with those obtained for the nontilted observer. Finally, we exhibit a peculiar situation where the nontilted congruence might be unstable.

Treatment of patellar tracking and pain in patellofemoral malalignment: Conservative versus surgery

Abstract The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of non-operative and post-operative physiotherapy-rehabilitation programmes in patellofemoral pain syndrome that originated from patellofemoral malalignment. Forty-two subjects (21 non-operative, 21 post-operative) were included in the study. Pain, patellar tilt, congruence, sulcus and Q angles, Cincinnati scale, functional tests, hamstring tightness, iliotibial band tightness, and thigh circumference measurement were compared. When the pre-treatment data were compared within groups, there were statistically significant differences in favour of post-operative group as regards pain, hamstring tightness and Q angle (p < 0.05). When the post-treatment data were compared within both groups, there were significant differences in favour of postoperative group as regards pain, patellar tilt congruence angles, vertical jump tests, standing broad jump, and squat tests (p < 0.05).
