A Comic-Based Learning Approach Grounded in Islamic Constructivism: Utilizing Canva to Explore Solar System Concepts

The purpose of this research endeavor is to evaluate the feasibility of comic-based educational media grounded in an Islamic nuanced constructivist framework, employing Canva applications for the instruction of solar system content. The study was carried out in accordance with Thiagarajan's 4D model, engaging seventh-grade students from SMP/MTs. Data were gathered from the feedback of both students and educators, in conjunction with validation from subject matter specialists, media professionals, and religious authorities. The outcomes of the investigation reveal that the material validation from experts achieved a score of 91%, media experts assigned a score of 86%, while religious authorities contributed a score of 82%. These findings signify a commendable degree of validation. In summary, drawing upon the assessments from experts and the affirmative feedback from educators and students, it can be inferred that the comic-based learning media, rooted in an Islamic constructivist paradigm utilizing Canva applications, serves as an efficacious and stimulating educational instrument for imparting knowledge regarding solar system concepts.

Effectiveness of Thermodynamics Textbooks Assisted by Heyzine Flipbook to Improve Students' Generic Science, Critical Thinking and Conceptual Understanding

Thermodynamics as a science studie something concrete and can be proven mathematically using scientific equations that have been proven to be true, so it is not uncommon for students to think that it is difficult to understand. This is because a high level of understanding is needed to understand the concepts of thermodynamics. The aim of this research is to develop a thermodynamics textbook assisted by Heyzine flipbook which is effective in improving students’ generic science, critical thinking and conceptual understanding. This research is a development researchs (Research and Development) which uses the Thiagarajan 4D development model. The subjects in this study were 26 students of the Physics Education study program at Mataram University who took the thermodynamics course. The data in this study is in the form of product effectiveness data obtained through pre-tests and post-tests given to research subjects. The improvement in students' abilities calculated using the n-gain formula. There was an increase in student abilities after being taught with the thermodynamics textbook assisted by Heyzine flipbook according to the n-gain value of 53.31 with moderate criteria. Heyzine flipbook-assisted thermodynamics textbook is proven effective in improving students' generic science, critical thinking and conceptual understanding.

The Development of Discovery Learning Model Teaching Materials to Improve Students’ Mathematical Problem Solving Ability on Junior High School

In order to enhance students' mathematical problem-solving skills, this study looks at how teaching materials are developed using the Discovery Learning model. Since every student nowadays needs to be able to think critically, the study specifically looks at the process and outcomes. development, viability testing, feedback from students, and improving mathematical problem-solving skills. This kind of research makes use of the Research and Development (R&D) or Research-based Development research method, which is a way to create a specific product and use a model to test the product's viability. Students in class VII at MTs Al Bidayah West Bandung Regency served as the research sample for S. Thiagarajan's 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) study. The process and outcomes of creating educational materials lead to the conclusion that the materials, when viewed from the various stages, follow the procedures or methods outlined in 4D. Based on students' responses, which were 68.4% and 70.2% in the good category, the viability of teaching materials made possible by the Photoshop program can be concluded, along with the students' improved problem-solving skills. If this teaching material is used in a classroom setting, it is imperative that the necessary facilities be set up ahead of time because learning with it requires sufficient facilities. There are tasks and content in this teaching resource that need to be altered. so that students' learning experiences are not dull and monotonous.

Development of Student Handbook on the Extraction of Secondary Metabolites Based on Premna serratifolia Research

This study aims to develop a digital module on the extraction of secondary metabolites based on P. serratifolia research as a self-study resource for students. This study utilized the Thiagarajan 4D development model, which encompasses the stages of definition, design, and development without dissemination. Participants in the study comprised students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak, Akademi Farmasi Yarsi Pontianak, and Universitas Tanjungpura who had previously studied extraction materials. Subject matter, media, and language experts provided validity scores of 94.69%, 88%, and 84.37%, respectively, resulting in an average validity score of 89.02%, categorizing the student handbook as highly valid. Small and large group trials yielded practicality percentages of 93.81% and 93.69%, respectively, with an average score of 93.75%, indicating the student handbook high practicality. Consequently, the student handbook on secondary metabolite extraction based on P. serratifolia research is deemed highly valid and practical as a self-study resource on the topic.

Development of LSLC-Based Collaborative Learning Model Learning Tools And Their Effects on Critical Thinking Skills

The purpose of this study is to develop collaborative learning-based learning resources and their impact on students' capacity for critical thought. This study used a combination of methods, namely development research (R&D) with Thiagarajan 4D model and experimental research. Data was collected through observations, questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The validity coefficients for the Teaching Module, worksheet, and test were 3.80, 3.80, and 3.70, respectively. Observations showed that 96% of the learning tools met practical criteria. The tools were effective, with 93% of student activities rated very good, 96% of students giving positive responses, and 85% achieving learning completion. A t-test (sig = 0.007) confirmed the collaborative learning tool based on LSLC significantly enhanced students' critical thinking skills.

PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR MENULIS BIPA TINGKAT MADYA TINGGI BERBASIS KONTEKS LINGKUNGAN PELAJAR

This development research aims to produce an intermediate high level BIPA writing teaching material product based on the context of the learner's environment that has gone through a validation test. This research adapts Thiagarajan's 4D development model and is limited to the revision stage based on the assessment of expert validators and practitioners. Based on the validation results, an average percentage of 81.25% was obtained in the content feasibility aspect, an average percentage of 83.3% was obtained in the presentation feasibility aspect, an average percentage of 75% was obtained in the language feasibility aspect, and an average percentage of 81.06% was obtained in the display feasibility aspect. From the overall total validation results with an average percentage of 80.15%, it can be concluded that the teaching materials for writing intermediate high level BIPA based on the context of the learner's environment can be said to be feasible to use.

SHORT COMMUNICATION PAPER: " STRENGTHENING CONTINUING NURSING EDUCATION: A COMPREHENSIVE MODULE USING MOOCS FOR EFFECTIVE RISK COMMUNICATION IN GLOBAL HEALTH EMERGENCIES"

This study develops an innovative Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) module specifically designed for continuing nursing education considering the critical need for efficient healthcare risk communication in the context of global health emergencies. The study utilised Thiagarajan's 4D development model, which was modified into a 3D model consisting of the stages: define, design, and develop. Through a comprehensive literature analysis, the study attempted to identify variable risk communication strategies that are crucial for successfully handling the always-evolving complexity of health emergencies. A mixed-method approach was utilised to evaluate the readiness among nurses for learning through MOOCs, hence guiding the design and development processes. By employing rigorous literature reviews and focus group discussions, researchers identified and validated crucial information, which ultimately resulted in the development of a MOOC course on the IIUM iTtaleem platform. The developed MOOC module was thoroughly examined by subject matter experts to ensure its accuracy. The pilot test conducted with SASMEC nurses revealed a notable improvement in the participants' understanding and confidence regarding risk communication. The module's interactive elements, such as virtual simulations and case studies, were praised for offering hands-on learning opportunities. The result of the research is a MOOC module that can be accessed worldwide, containing video lectures, quizzes, and virtual scenarios. The dissemination of guidelines for integration into nursing education programmes has highlighted its capacity to strengthen healthcare systems in the face of global health concerns. Future intentions include implementing multilingual translations and partnering with international nursing organisations to guarantee ongoing relevance and influence in the dynamic field of global health emergencies.

Pengembangan Video Pembelajaran Terintegrasi Nilai-Nilai Islami terhadap Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Siswa pada Materi Statistika

This study aims to produce media in the form of learning videos integrated with Islamic values on students' mathematical representation skills on statistics material that reaches the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research is included in development research using Thiagarajan's 4D research design. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students of Nurul Islam Junior High School Kubu Raya with a total of 22 students. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets, questionnaires, and test questions. Based on the results of the first study, the validation of the learning video is with an average value of the three experts of 90.15% in very valid criteria with very good categories. The second is the value of practicality, seen from the value of the questionnaire filled by teachers and students obtained a percentage of 92% with very practical criteria. Meanwhile, to see the effectiveness of media in the form of learning videos measured from student test results obtained a percentage of 86.36% with very effective criteria. So that the media in the form of learning videos integrated with Islamic values is suitable for use in learning mathematics on statistics material.

Pengembangan Ensiklopedia Terintegrasi Potensi Lokal Sumatera Utara Tumbuhan Balakka (Phyllanthus emblica L) sebagai Alternatif Bahan Ajar Biologi

This research aims to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of the encyclopedia developed on Kingdom Plantae (Plant Kingdom) material. The method used in this research is the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate) from Thiagarajan. The research results show that the Encyclopedia is very feasible, practical, and effective to be used as open material for SMA/MA students. This is seen based on the assessment of experts by material experts with a percentage of 80%, media experts with a percentage of 90.9%, biology subject teachers with a percentage of 75%, practicality by students with a percentage of 90.4%, and product effectiveness seen from the Learning Completeness formula with a percentage amounting to 87.30%. Encyclopedias that are suitable for development will then be distributed to several schools, namely MAS Al-Ulum Medan and SMAS Nur Ihsan Islamic Fullday School. Chemture Gamification to Improve Learners' Cognitive Ability on Acid-Base Material

This study aims to obtain learning media in the form of games that meet the appropriate category in improving the cognitive abilities of students on acid-base material. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with reference to Thiagarajan's 4D development model and limited to the Development stage. The instruments used include validation sheets, student response questionnaires, student activity observation sheets, and pretest-posttest sheets. The results obtained showed that the validity of the media received a score ≥ 3 with valid criteria, the practicality of the media obtained from the results of the response questionnaire and the observation sheet of students' activities for the response questionnaire obtained a percentage of 92.50% with very practical criteria, while the results of the observation of students' activities at meeting 1 were 91.1% while meeting 2 was 94.4% with very practical criteria. The effectiveness results were obtained from the pretest-posttest results which were analyzed using the classical test and T-test, the analysis results using the classical test obtained a value of 97.06% for the test of students' cognitive learning outcomes with the effective category. The Wilcoxon test results showed that the learning outcomes obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 which indicated that there was a significant difference in pretest and posttest learning outcomes. So, it can be concluded that the Chemture game has met the feasible category as a learning media to improve students' cognitive abilities.

Analysis of Critical Thinking Aspects in the Implementation of Blended Learning Model Based on Electric Material Project

The purpose of this study was to determine the aspects of critical thinking in implementing a blended learning-based project model in improving learning outcomes by utilizing digital applications and platforms. The research subjects were 20 students who were interviewed and filled out a questionnaire. Based on the hypothesis, it is revealed that there is a positive impact of critical thinking aspects on learning outcomes. These aspects include interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. This type of research is development research (R&D) with the concept of Thiagarajan 4D theory (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis. With the findings: the results of statistical analysis for the critical thinking aspects studied, all aspects influence on student learning outcomes. Based on the six aspects, the highest influence is the interpretation aspect of 82% on student learning outcomes.

Development of STEM-based Virtual Laboratory on Global Warming Topic for Junior High School Student

Our study aimed to develop a feasible STEM-based virtual laboratory on global warming topics for junior high school students. We used the development research type by adopting Thiagarajan's 4D model development procedure, which was limited to the development stage. The data collection methods we used were questionnaires and interviews, while the research instruments were interview sheets and questionnaires. Product validation involved a lecturer as a subject matter expert and a lecturer as a learning media expert. In addition, a small group evaluation sample with 10 students was selected using a simple random sampling technique to be involved in the product trial. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques were used. The results showed that the assessment by subject matter experts received a feasibility percentage of 84%, including the criteria worth using, and the assessment by learning media experts received a feasibility percentage of 85%, including the criteria worth using. In addition, the small group student response trial showed 91%, which means the developed product is very practical. Thus, the STEM-based virtual laboratory on global warming topics was declared feasible for junior high school students to use in science learning

Development of Media Smart Apps Creator Integrated Problem-Based Learning Model Learning on Reaction Rate Material

This research aims to produce an Integrated learning media product using Problem-Based Learning smart apps creator application with models Thiagarajan's 4D development. Based on research carried out, media expert opinion, educator response, participant response students towards integrated learning media Problem-Based Learning using the smart apps creator application gets criteria very worthy with an average media expert assessment score of 96.08%, educator response assessment 95.05%, and Student response assessment was 80.2%. The results of this research show that interactive learning media is based on Problem-Based Learning useing the smart apps creator application on the speed material point reactions can be used as a learning medium.

Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Menyimak Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) Berbasis Video Animasi di KBRI Ankara

This study developed teaching materials to improve listening skills for learners of Indonesian as a Foreign Language (BIPA) at the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara. Following Thiagarajan's 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), a needs analysis identified learner requirements. The design phase focused on creating materials, particularly animated videos, to enhance listening comprehension. Development involved creating the materials and obtaining feedback from subject matter and media experts for BIPA 1 learners. Dissemination included internal validation by BIPA instructors and user testing with learners and teachers. Validation results from subject matter and media experts categorized the materials as "Feasible" and "Very Feasible," respectively. User feedback yielded an average score of "Very Feasible." These findings suggest the developed materials are highly suitable for enhancing BIPA 1 listening skills at the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara.

Science Teaching Materials Based on Marine Aquaculture Bioecology Using Floating Net Cage Technology to Improve Science Literacy Skills for Middle School Students in Coastal Lombok

This research aimed to develop science teaching materials based on marine aquaculture bioecology using floating net cage technology that is practical and effective in improving students’ scientific literacy skills at Lombok coastal schools. This was development research based on the Thiagarajan 4D model, which consists of four stages: design, define, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects consisted of six junior high schools on the coast of Lombok, who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a scientific literacy assessment of 16 reasoned multiple choice questions. Data were analyzed using normalized gain analysis. The results showed that science teaching materials based on marine aquaculture bioecology with floating net cage technology were effective in increasing the scientific literacy skills of students in the six sampled schools, obtaining an average N-gain value of 0.5 in the medium category.

Pengembangan LKPD pendidikan agama Islam dan budi pekerti berbasis inkuiri pada kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bekri

Background: Teaching in the 2013 curriculum emphasizes scientific methods, with one model that applies this approach being inquiry. Inquiry is considered a learning strategy that focuses on the role of students, where they are actively involved in a series of learning activities, including searching for information, analyzing and concluding the results of their findings during the learning process. Purpose: The aim of this research is to develop an inquiry-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) regarding belief in the books of Allah and love of the Koran and also determine the feasibility of the inquiry-based LKPD. Method: Employing the Research and Development (Rnd) methodology, the study follows Thiagarajan's 4D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Findings: LKPD is validated by material experts and media experts. Validation is carried out twice by the material validator. The final validation results by material experts reached a percentage of 96% in that "very feasible" category. That final validation interpretation by media experts, which were carried out once, obtained a percentage figure of 94.6% in the "very feasible" category. Testing of teacher responses showed a percentage of 90% with positive responses. Meanwhile, testing the responses of students in small groups showed a percentage of 90.6% with positive responses. Thus, based on the research results, it can be concluded that the development of inquiry-based Islamic Religious Education and Character Worksheets for class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bekri is suitable for use as a learning medium in the learning process at school.

Project-Based Interactive Colloidal E-Module in Chemistry Learning to Improve Student's Science Process Skills and Understanding Concepts

<p class="papertitle" align="left">The goal of this research is to create project-based interactive e-modules based on feasible colloidal material. Thiagarajan's 4D device development model (Four-D Model) is used in this study. This research is divided into three stages: defining, designing, and developing. This study investigates the feasibility of interactive e-modules in terms of 1) validity, which includes the quality of content and constructs, 2) practicality, which includes the results of student responses and is supported by data from observations of student activities, and 3) effectiveness, which is measured by student learning outcomes in aspects of conceptual understanding and scientific process skills. The study's findings are as follows: 1) the interactive e-module is stated to be valid in terms of validation results of 86.42% with very valid criteria; 2) the practicality of the interactive e-module as seen from the student response questionnaire obtained a value of 96.87% with the very category practical and student activity observation sheets as supporting data obtained a value of 97.5% in the very practical category; and 3) The average N-Gain score on the conceptual understanding test obtained a value of 0.73 with high criteria, and on the science process skill test obtained a score of 0.82 with high criteria, and classical completeness on both tests was 86.67% respectively, indicating that interactive e-modules based on project-based learning on colloidal material are suitable for learning.</p>

Meta-analysis of the Aspects of Student Thinking Creativity in Learning Project Based Learning (PjBL) to Improve Learning Outcomes

The objective of this study was to examine elements of student cognitive ingenuity developed through Project-based Learning (PjBL) to enhance educational achievements. The research participants consisted of 22 students enrolled in the Electrical Engineering Study Program. The basic hypothesis posits that the presence of creative thinking elements has a beneficial impact on enhancing students' learning results. The key aspects encompassed are fluidity, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The data were gathered using questionnaire-based observation, utilizing instruments that have been validated by specialists. This research falls under the category of Research and Development (R&D) and follows the Thiagarajan 4D paradigm, which involves defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and the PjBL learning effectiveness test, with a comparison made between intact groups. Analysis reveals that all four aspects examined have a significant impact on enhancing learning outcomes. Nevertheless, the most significant impact is observed in the domain of fluency when it comes to learning outcomes. The efficacy of PjBL learning in enhancing learning outcomes in Energy Conversion courses was found to be significantly superior to that of conventional learning approaches. In the upcoming study, it is advised to investigate and expand upon four unexplored facets of creative thinking.

Pengembangan Media Game Edukasi pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS Materi Rangka, Sendi, dan Otot Kelas VI SD Negeri 40 Pontianak Utara

This research aims to produce a product in the form of an educational game media for the IPAS subject with material on the Skeleton, Joints, and Muscles in the sixth grade of SDN 40 Pontianak Utara that can be considered suitable for use. The research and development (R&D) method is employed, adapting the Thiagarajan 4D development model, which includes the stages of Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. The data sources for this research come from the validation results of two expert validators, practicality questionnaires for teachers, and feedback from students. Data collection involves validators' validation questionnaires and practicality questionnaires. The results of the research indicate that during the development process of educational game media, these four stages have been successfully implemented. The validity level of educational game media in terms of media reaches an average of 4.45, categorized as highly valid, while the material aspect obtains an average of 4.6, also categorized as highly valid. The practicality of using educational game media in the IPAS subject with material on the Skeleton, Joints, and Muscles for the sixth grade by teachers achieves a score of 4.47, categorized as very practical, while by students, it reaches a score of 4.1, also categorized as very practical. Based on the obtained results, it can be concluded that the educational game media developed for the IPAS subject with material on the Skeleton, Joints, and Muscles for the sixth grade can be considered suitable for use in the teaching and learning process.

Creating Animation as Audiovisual Media Learning to Improve Motivation and Social Subject Outcome of 5th grade of Elementary School at SD Negeri 067245 Medan Selayang

This research aims to determine the feasibility, practicality and effectiveness of audiovisual media in the form of animation for class IV students at SD Negeri 067245 Medan Selayang. The research model used is research and development (R&D) using Thiagarajan's 4D design. The research subjects were 54 material and media expert validators, teachers and class IV students, each consisting of 27 students in the experimental class and 27 students in the control class. Based on research findings, validation results by material experts were 87%, media experts 88% and were included in the valid (feasible) category. Furthermore, the practicality results obtained from the teacher questionnaire results were 87.5% in the "Very Practical" category and student responses obtained a percentage of 90% in the "Very Practical" category. It can be concluded that the media developed is practical to use. The pretest score in the experimental class showed an average result of 63 and the posttest score showed an average result of 91, N-Gain 0.8. With the "High" criterion, obtained a value of 0.000 in the t test where Sig <0.05 so it was stated that there was a significant difference Between the learning results in the experimental class and the control class, that audiovisual learning media in the form of animation is very feasible, practical and effective for use in learning and effective in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes.
