The purpose of this study is to provide basic data to prospective elementary school teachers to strengthen their teaching and digital media utilization capabilities in the field of music creation using AI · digital media, and to help them research on improving the curriculum of pre-service elementary school teachers. Based on this, the 2022 revised music curriculum, and current music textbooks were analyzed and 4 sessions for pre-service elementary school teachers using Google Chrome Music Lab were developed. The significance of this study is that it presented a curriculum plan for pre-service elementary school teachers that focused on Google Chrome Music Lab among various AI · digital media for music education. It is also significant that the 2022 revised music curriculum, current textbooks, and achievement-based music creation were analyzed to consider the connection between digital media and the educational field. To make suggestions through this study, first, it is necessary to discover various cases of music teaching methods using AI · digital media. Second, music creation training using digital media should be actively conducted not only for pre-service teachers but also for teachers. Finally, it is necessary to create an educational environment with digital literacy in accordance with the changing times by sufficiently establishing AI · digital-related equipment in the educational field. It is hoped that this study will help improve elementary school music creation classes and pre-service teacher curriculum using AI · digital media.

The study aims to examine experiences and draw implications by designing and applying a pre-service teacher curriculum based on the latest media in music education that reflects of the metaverse and artificial intelligence. Using backward design as stage, 15-session curriculum was planned, and appropriate media were selected for each session. To analyze the experience of pre-service teachers, the survey was planned with 8 TPACK questions of technological pedagogical content knowledge and 9 questions of instructional self-efficacy, and the subjective experience was closely examined by analyzing reflective journals, performance tasks, observation diaries, and learning management systems (LMS). As a result, a significant increase in the mean TPACK scores of pre-service teachers was observed. Observations indicated that tailored learning tools could be developed using media functions, and media-based instruction methods were effectively recognized. Descriptive analysis of the self-efficacy survey revealed high average scores, particularly in 'motivation' and 'instruction planning suitable for social flow,' while 'strategies for underachievement' showed relatively low scores. To improve the media-based curriculum: First, media-based curricula should be implemented considering the various levels of prospective teachers and should have sufficient time. Second, suitable media must be selected in elementary classrooms, considering student differences, and a curriculum addressing underachievement is needed. Third, a stable digital environment should be ensured through regular checks of equipment, with additional support for headsets during sound editing. This study hopes to help pre-service teachers enhance their technological pedagogical content knowledge and develop media-based music education for the digital age.

Objectives This study aimed to enhance the quality of after-school programs in kindergartens by visiting kindergartens with exemplary after-school operations and examining their management practices. Methods Through the cooperation of officials from regional education offices, kindergartens with notable after-school program operations were recommended, and eight kindergartens across the country were visited. Data related to the operational cases of each kindergarten were collected, and interviews were conducted with principals and teachers. The study examined how after-school programs are conducted through various procedures, processes, and interactions within different kindergarten contexts. Results The results indicated that high-quality after-school programs in kindergartens were managed through various methods, including the operation of professional learning communities, adherence to play-centered after-school programs true to their essence, the appointment of dedicated after-school teachers, community-linked after-school programs, and the establishment of care systems for children. Care systems for children were often established in rural kindergartens and operated in forms such as all-day care, Saturday care, intensive care during farming seasons, and care linked to local children's centers. Conclusions This study suggests the need for a change in perception about after-school programs among principals and curriculum teachers, recognition and training support for after-school teachers and connection with local communities.

Results of Teacher Supervision at SMP Xaverius 7 Palembang

The process of learning activities supervised by a supervisor or educational expert is known as educational supervision. Providing feedback to teachers, providing suggestions for improvement, and ensuring that the learning process is in accordance with predetermined standards are the main objectives of educational supervision. In addition, data collection, classroom observation, discussion, and the creation of innovative teaching strategies and corrective measures are also included in educational supervision. As a result, improving the quality of teaching and learning in educational institutions depends heavily on educational supervision. Curriculum development and classroom learning models are two areas where educational supervision has a great influence on educational progress. Qualitative research is the type of this study. This qualitative research explains how principals’ academic supervision affects teachers’ professional development and classroom teaching standards. At SMP Xaverius 7 Palembang, 109 people participated in the study: the principal, the curriculum teacher, five members of the supervision team, five teachers of Bahasa Indonesia, PAK, mathematics, and civics, and grade VIII students. Collaborate with schools to plan supervision implementation, monitor implementation, observe academic supervisor evaluations, investigate academic supervision activities, and analyze test results obtained during academic inspections.

Signal Processing in the Digital Era: Educational Strategies for Developing Curriculum for Teacher’s Training at Secondary School A Need Assessment Analysis in District Kot addu South Pakistan

Due to the fast-growing technological expansion, signal processing has become one of the significant elements of learning, especially in a world where technology is rapidly growing. This study, titled “Signal Processing in the Digital Era: The research study titled “Educational Strategies for Developing Curriculum for Teachers’ Training at Secondary School: A Need Assessment Analysis in District Kot Addu, South Pakistan” will focus on the need to include signal processing concepts in the training curriculum of teachers in secondary schools. This study aims to find out existing level of awareness and existing knowledge of teachers so as to find out the gaps / areas where further curriculum development could be attempted based on the district Kot Addu, South, Pakistan. It will analyze the impact of digital tools and technologies in the improvement of teachers’ competencies in signal processing through an evaluation of them extensively. Particular emphasis will be made on the difficulties which teachers encounter when implementing these concepts and technologies, the necessary conditions in schools and the necessary preparation of educators for proper curriculum implementation. The result from this study will be important for its contribution toward informing the process of curriculum development for teacher training, the context of the digital age, in order to promote positive change in educational outcomes of secondary school. Enhancing Support for Slow Learners Evaluating Inclusive Education Models in Contemporary Classrooms

Present study assesses the effectiveness of inclusive education frameworks in supporting slow learners, a student needs extra time and resources to achieve academic success. The objective is to include these students in regular classes to promote fairness and social unity. Qualitative research study supported by six teachers working in primary, elementary, and secondary institutions in Karachi. The data collected provided thematic analysis identifying key challenges, strategies, and impacts in the implementation of inclusive education toward children with learning difficulties. Findings also show that though the models of inclusive education may uplift the slow learners both in academic performance and self-esteem, their effectiveness depends on adequate resources, flexible curriculum, and comprehensive training for teachers. Individual education plans and differentiated instruction are also identified as important. Future research has to be based on longitudinal studies and comparative studies across different cultural contexts of inclusive education models with specific attention to teacher preparation and the perspectives of slow learners.

Teachers’ strategies and challenges in conducting HOTS-based activities in Merdeka Curriculum era

This study investigated the approach used by English teachers to promote Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) during the learning process. The Indonesian government, specifically the Ministry of Education and Culture, has taken the lead in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, a curriculum designed to prepare students for the 5.0 era of society. The objective of this curriculum is to develop students who have the Profil Pelajar Pancasila, equipping them with the ability to use their knowledge and abilities effectively in practical circumstances. To achieve this, teachers must employ specific methodologies that enhance students' critical thinking abilities. focused on thirteen English senior high school teachers in Pekalongan Regency, with two selected for interviews and observations. Data were collected through a questionnaire, interviews, and direct observation. The data analysis involved quantifying the questionnaire responses, evaluating the open-ended questionnaire responses, and reviewing the transcripts from the interviews and classroom observation notes. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the data from interviews and classroom observation, while coding was employed to extract the transcripts and observation notes. The study revealed that the strategies used by Merdeka Curriculum teachers were project-based learning and open-ended questioning. However, some teachers faced challenges in implementing these strategies in English classes, such as students' skill levels, teachers' expertise, and negative perceptions.

Strategy for Implementing the Hidden Curriculum for the Arabic Language Teacher at the Secondary Stage in TMI Al-Amien for Female

This article aims to analyze the strategy for implementing the hidden curriculum for Arabic teachers as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors at TMI Al-Amien Prenduan. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data sources were obtained from Arabic language teachers, master teachers and academics. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, the technique used to check the validity of the data is source triangulation. The results of this research are the hidden curriculum strategy used by Arabic language teachers at Marhalah Tsanawiyah in the form of applying I'dad tadris and serving as an example in the application of Arabic. The supporting factor in implementing the hidden curriculum is the role of the master teacher in planning the hidden curriculum for the Arabic language teacher himself. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the lack of understanding of Arabic language teachers regarding the hidden curriculum theory and the small number of Arabic language teachers who study in the field of Tarbiyah.

A Review of Environmental Literacy Learning for Prospective Teachers

The urgent need to deal with specific environmental changes globally has made us aware of the importance of environmental literacy skills to achieve new relationships with the environment. This study examines and discusses the development of prospective teachers' environmental literacy. It also seeks to link the findings of the educational environment and the environmental impact of pre-service teacher environmental literacy education to the SLR approach. The literature search was conducted online in the Scopus-indexed database with “environmental literacy” and “pre-service teacher” assisted with Publish or Perish software. Then, the search results found 48 articles, followed by a procedure that included Identification, Screening, Eligibility, and Inclusion for each article. Fourteen articles fit the category, so an in-depth analysis was carried out regarding the application of environmental literacy to the prospective teacher education curriculum. The findings show prospective teachers are primarily concerned with environmental issues; however, this emotional reasoning or treatment perspective does not always translate into engaging behaviors or actions. The complexity of environmental problems makes it difficult for prospective teachers to identify how to be involved in this environmental action. Environmental learning to develop environmental literacy can be applied to the curriculum of prospective teachers. Prospective teachers have enormous potential to influence, providing examples and being role models for students in protecting the surrounding environment.

In South Africa, the educational landscape is characterised by constant evolution and dynamic classroom changes, driven by technological advancements, diverse student populations, and evolving pedagogical approaches. Pre-service teachers are crucial in navigating these changes and fostering effective learning environments. This systematic literature analysis explores the relevance of curriculum for pre-service teachers in addressing the challenges posed by dynamic classroom contexts in South Africa. Drawing upon a comprehensive review of existing literature, this study examines the alignment between pre-service teacher education curricula and the evolving needs of classrooms in South Africa. Key themes explored include integrating technology, cultural responsiveness, inclusive education practices, and pedagogical flexibility. The analysis also considers the efficacy of current pre-service teacher training programmes in preparing teachers to meet the diverse needs of students in dynamic classroom settings. Furthermore, the study investigates the perceptions and experiences of pre-service teachers regarding the adequacy of their curriculum in equipping them for the realities of South African classrooms. By synthesising findings from various sources, this research aims to inform curriculum development efforts and enhance the preparation of pre-service teachers for the multifaceted challenges of teaching in South African schools.

Impacts of British Council’s Core Skills Activities on Students-Teachers’ Performance and Whole School Environment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

A good teacher can bring more positive changes in the behavior of students, the teacher’s knowledge and skills are important to achieve the required targets of the institution. The researcher aimed to explore the effectiveness and benefits of British Council’s trainings programs, a professionally skillful teacher may impart knowledge and skills to the students. The main objective of the study is to know the impacts of British Council’s Core Skills Activities on the student-teachers’ performance and whole school environment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It was a descriptive and survey type research. The population of the study was 480 governments male-female primary, middle and high schools and 960 teachers trained by British Council for connecting classrooms Core Skills Activities. The sampling of the study was 200 teachers of 100 randomly selected schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The six core skills are Critical Thinking & Problem Solving, Communication & Collaboration, Creativity & Imagination, Citizenship, Digital Literacy, and Student Leadership & Personal Development. The selected data was properly analyzed, tabulated, explained and interpreted through some statistical tools and a chi square test was used. The major findings showed that British Council is an international organization which works positively for the professional development of teachers and uplift of students. The findings depicted that majority the teachers greed with the statement that British Council Connecting Classrooms activities i.e. Core Skills also called Twenty First Century Skills improved the overall performance of students-teachers and whole school environment. The traditional teaching methodology of teaching was changed to activity and conceptual based teaching. The most important fact was found that critical thinking and problem solving skills was the need of the day, it really develops the thinking approach of the students and teachers. Communication, computer and leadership skills of students were also developed by adapting core skills activities in and outside the class. On the basis of findings some recommendations were made that the Core Skills activities may be embedded by the teachers in school curriculum. Such training session may be provided to all teachers and head teachers by the Elementary & Secondary Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the supervision of British Council experienced and skillful team.

The Influence of Environmental Factors on Photosynthesis - Learning Design and Assessment Plan for a STEM Curriculum

There has been a lot of attention on STEM education, but there is less STEM curriculum for teachers to have a reference point in China. The article proposes a short STEM curriculum for use by teachers in the teaching of the STEM curriculum. The curriculum is for 10th graders. Biology is the main subject integrated with mathematics and chemistry. The article shows specific course content, including 3 different experiments. Experiments in which students participate independently are more likely to sharpen their thinking. Inquiry-based learning is adopted as the educational approach, through which students can discover new causal relationships because students formulate hypotheses and test them by conducting experiments and observations. Additionally inquiry-based learning encourages students to think logically, critically, and analytically, which is helpful in increasing students’ critical thinking. Critical thinking is reasonable and reflective thinking focused on what to believe or do. Students with critical thinking skills can achieve incredible learning outcomes because they can consciously control their goals and attention. There are six dimensions of critical thinking, based on the assignment—experimental report, analysis dimension and explanation dimension will be assessed.

Sustainable Thinking Development in Religious Education (RE) as a Part of Primary School Socially Oriented Learning as Teachers’ Professional Development Potential in Stockholm

This article analyzes the organizational way to form sustainable thinking in socially oriented studies for teachers and students using the experience of Stockholms stads utbildningsförvaltning (Stockholm Education Administration). Deep studies of thematical publications, the curriculum, and websites for teachers were used as a pedagogical method. The article’s main goal is to find out what help teachers are given to make socially oriented lessons more sustainable.

Diklat Pembuatan Karya Tulis Ilmiah Berorientasi Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi bagi Guru Kabupaten Kubu Raya

This training adapts to the needs of teachers in the independent curriculum. The Education Office in collaboration with FKIP Tanjungpura University trained 70 teachers in Kubu Raya district, focusing on differentiated learning. Participants were reinforced on the characteristics and types of differentiated learning: proactive, emphasizing quality, rooted in assessment, and providing multiple approaches. They are directed to choose or combine differentiated learning types (content, process, product) and link them to research such as PTK, best practice, or descriptive papers. Participants submit a draft paper with title and background for the resource person to comment on. Implementation in schools is monitored via WhatsApp by the Kesuma Bangsa Journal team. The purpose of implementation is as a real action for driving teachers and article material for journals. The activity was closed with a post-test to assess the increase in understanding, which increased from 45.07 to 56.07 points. The training went smoothly and according to plan.

Quality of Health Education Teacher Preparation Program Curricula Throughout the United States.

Undergraduate majors in education, specifically in school health education (HE), have declined considerably in the United States. Reductions in state and federal funding for K-12 public education and increased demands on educators to prioritize standardized academic outcomes versus focusing on the whole child encompass many factors leading to fewer qualified teachers and reduced quality of HE delivery within schools. A content analysis of over 300 HE teacher preparation programs throughout the United States was conducted from 2019 to 2020 to assess available and required curriculum for pre-service HE teachers. Seven curriculum areas were reviewed: nutrition, physical activity (PA) and physical education (PE), HE, chronic disease management (CDM), social emotional learning and mental health (SEL/MH), drug abuse and tobacco prevention (DA/TP), and a methods course in teaching HE. Findings indicated program type influenced course offerings, with stand-alone HE and joint HE/PE programs providing the most comprehensive curriculum. Most programs required courses in general HE, PA and PE, and nutrition. Programs were deficient in offering courses in CDM, DA/TP, and SEL/MH. This article contains recommendations to improve the quality of HE delivery in public schools, for example by ensuring that school health educators are trained in providing skills-based HE to youth, which can assist in addressing child and youth health outcomes (eg, CDM, mental health) for the nation.
