РОЛЬ ПРАЗДНИЧНЫХ МЕРОПРИЯТИЙ В АДАПТАЦИИ ИНОСТРАННЫХ СТУДЕНТОВ РОССИЙСКИХ ВУЗОВ (ИЗ ОПЫТА РАБОТЫ)

The article is dedicated to the topical pedagogical problem of adaptation of foreign students in Russian universities. Authors analyze the experience of adaptation of foreign students who study Russian at the International Education Faculty of Tambov State Technical University. Peculiarities of extracurricular work in the form of festive events aimed at overcoming the boundaries of intercultural communication are revealed. The article touches upon some peculiarities of organizing the celebration of Maslenitsa (Pancake Weak), International Women’s Day, New Year, National Culture Days as well as the complex of events dedicated to the Day of the Victory of Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. Authors come to the conclusion that the organisation of festive events promotes intercultural dialogue that develops the linguistic-cultural and communicative competence of students, respectful attitude to Russian history and culture. It contributes to the successful adaptation of inofon students to a new sociocultural and educational environment.

Профессор А. А. Слезин и его научная школа ювенальной истории (Тамбов)

The study aims to present for the first time the scientific-creative activity undertaken by the founder of the school of juvenile history of Tambov State Technical University, Professor A. A. Slezin, to describe the main components of the school’s characteristics phenomenon-wise as a scientific-educational unity of academics and specialists. Scientific novelty of the study consists in giving a more thorough presentation of formation stages of the only Russian “History of the Youth Movement” school of thought and the role of its founder and overseer, A. A. Slezin, in this process. Relevant results of the work amount to painting an accurate picture of the school of juvenile history and the role of its head in development of a new scientific field, in adding to history of the youth movement with the help of new findings.

THE EXPERIENCE OF USING CLOUD-BASED TECHNOLOGIES IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

The digital era has firmly entered the modern educational process bringing a variety of distance learning platforms (technologies). The intensive use of web technologies has also affected the field of foreign language teaching. The introduction of modern methods based on cloud-based technologies in higher education is due to the fact that traditional learning process does not fully meet the requirements of the modern reality both in the forms of its organization and its methods. The aim of this paper is to describe cloud-based technologies used in foreign language classes at Tambov State Technical University and identify the advantages and drawbacks of using these technologies. In addition to the main university platform, which provides ample opportunities in the context of foreign language teaching, examples of additional web services, showing their effectiveness in working with students of non-linguistic universities, are presented.

Teaching Professional Communication in a Foreign Language in the Post-COVID Space

The paper discusses linguistic and pedagogical aspects of integrating a new approach to teaching communication into the educational process of higher professional education in the post-COVID space in the context of “doctor - patient” online interaction. The possibility of using new pedagogical tools in the educational process is described using the example of Tambov State Technical University (Biomedical Engineering study program). It is shown that innovative technologies contributes to better acquisition of learning materials, corresponds to the development of competencies, ensuring the quality of educational activities.

Promising water-fuel emulsion

The analysis of methods and means of preparation of a stable water-fuel emulsion, as well as the results of its preparation on the technology of Tambov state tech-nical University are presented.

СОЗДАНИЕ ВИРТУАЛЬНОЙ ОБРАЗОВАТЕЛЬНОЙ СРЕДЫ С ИСПОЛЬЗОВАНИЕМ ТЕХНОЛОГИИ КВЕСТОВ

The article deals with the creation of a virtual educational environment associated with the functioning of three centers for collective use of Tambov State Technical University, using special equipment (panoramic camera Insta360 Pro 6 with fish-eye lenses, viewing angle of each lens 200°). The 3D Vista Virtual Tour software was chosen as the development environment for the virtual tour, using functions related to e-learning and automatic integration with Moodle LMS. The virtual space of the created educational environment provides an opportunity for the existence of various forms of educational communication, based on the capabilities of modern teaching aids and modern information and communication technologies, allows providing conditions for improving the quality of education, exchange of views, mutual consultation, including increasing the level of professional competencies of applicants and students.

An experimental study on the influence of functionalized carbon nanotubes CNT Taunit series on the thermal conductivity enhancement

This paper aims to determine the thermal conductivity for two types of functionalized carbon nanotubes (FCNT “Taunit M”) nanofluids. FCNT1 and FCNT2 have been used to enhance the thermal conductivity of nanofluids. Six concentrations of 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05, 0.07, 0.1 wt.% loading of FCNT1 and three concentrations of 0.01, 0.05, 0.1 wt.% loading of FCNT2 have been used in this experiment. The experiments were achieved at temperatures 40°C. The technique for measuring thermal conductivity was described and manufactured at Tambov State Technical University. As a result of the study, the effect of increasing concentrations of FCNTs in the aqueous medium on thermal conductivity was presented. The relationship was nonlinear in FCNT1. The maximum enhancement thermal conductivity was 11.6 and 7.1% loading FCNT1 and FCNT2 respectively, which achieved at a weight fraction of 0.05 and 0.1 % respectively. Finally, the latest researches in this field were presented for comparison in the results obtained.

Management information system professional development of the student in the process of independent work

The article is devoted to solving the problem of improving the quality of higher education and enabling students to make maximum use of their intellectual and creative potential for professional development in the process of independent work.The analysis of the educational process organization is carried out and the problem moments of realization of the principles of individualization and developing training are revealed. The necessity of development of creativity as a key characteristic of a competitive specialist is substantiated, the main approaches to its definition and development are investigated. The mechanism of formation of creativity of students in the process of independent work has been developed in consideration of the works of D. B. Bogoyavlenskaya, and N. F. Vishnjakovoj, T. A. Barysheva.The research was based on the generalization and development in the context of digital professional education of the experience of organization of independent work and creative self-development of students of Tambov state technical University. The mathematical modeling of the process of management of professional development of students was carried out.According to the results of the study, the key indicators characterizing the current level of competence formation are formulated, and the conceptual provisions of individualization of training within the framework of organized independent work of students on the basis of the principles of developing training are developed. Formalization, mathematical modeling is carried out and methodology of design of adaptive information system of management of professional formation of the student in the course of independent work is proved. The task of optimization of sustainable work is set and several variants of the criterion of optimization are offered, allowing to provide the maximum satisfaction of both the employers ' society and the individual in obtaining high-quality competitive technical education.The developed approaches to the formalization of the processes of training organization and mathematical modeling of the process of professional formation, to the determination of the complexity of tasks and improvement of the current abilities of the student through the transition from the development zone to the zones of near and subsequent development are of significant theoretical and practical importance for improving the quality of the higher education system.

The article presents a review of the collection of documents “Children’s Movement in Tambov Region (1914-1945)” issued by “Gramota” Publishers with the financial support of the Russian Fund of Fundamental Research. The publication is a result of the long-term archival search and analytical work of a research group from the State Archives of Socio-Political History of Tambov Region and Tambov State Technical University. From the reviewer’s viewpoint, the book is aimed not only at specialists in regional studies but at those interested in the history of the children’s movement in its initial period. The publication is a kind of appeal to state and social structures to give an overall support to the modern children’s movement.

Teaching English to Engineers at a Tertiary Level in Russia

The article considers the problem of teaching English for professional purposes to future engineers in Russia. A theoretical analysis of the problem is given. Statistical tools are used to study the impact of the teaching series “Career Paths” on the attitude of students to English language studies at the technical university. The author explores the driving forces, vehicles and destinations that lie behind successful curricular as a result of implementation of a large scale research project initiated by the Department of International Scientific and Professional Communication at Tambov State Technical University.

FOSTERING RESEARCH AND INNOVATION ACTIVITIES IN TAMBOV STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

The paper discusses the importance and objectives of research and innovation activities at a modern institution of higher education. It describes the stages of professional training for research and innovation activities and elements of the innovative infrastructure of Tambov State Technical University that carry out research and innovation training. The developed infrastructure ensures the process of training for research and innovation activities in the priority fields of university and regional development. One of the prerequisites for success must be active and mutually beneficial cooperation in research, innovation and education between the university and enterprises of the real sector, in the forms of collaborative research, design and implementation of innovative products and technologies. Experimental Industrial Carbon Nanomaterial Production

At the present stage of development of carbon nanomaterial production technologies great attention is paid to the creation of equipment that allows for obtaining these materials in significant amounts. Tambov State Technical University (TSTU) in cooperation with research and industrial teams carries out research, as well as design and manufacturing work for process equipment to obtain carbon nanofibres and nanotubes. As a result of this work the experimental industrial production technologies for hydrocarbon catalytic pyrolysis were developed. Experimental samples of products (nanofibres) were obtained.
