Advances in technology have now spread to all aspects of life and profession. When archiving, it is appropriate to use a computerized system to make archiving and processing letters easier. However, there are still few who take advantage of current technological advances. One of them is the TEXMACO PURWASARI Vocational High School which still archives letters in paper form (hard copy). Manual archiving has weaknesses that pose many risks. By designing the UI/UX of an archival information system, it is hoped that it can solve existing problems. In designing the UI/UX, the user center design (UCD) method is applied, which is a method for analyzing the UI/UX design of an electronic archival information system. seen from the system user's side, so that the system design is designed according to the user's needs, the result of this research is an archival information system design plan which is equipped with a database plan that is tailored to the user's needs, then testing the system design that has been created using the system method usability scale (SUS).

The purpose of this study is to derive implications for application in technology subjects by synthesizing the results of several previous studies related to artificial intelligence education programs conducted in secondary school subject classes and analyzing their effectiveness. To this end, the effect size of the education program according to the variables (program form, measurement variable, continuous variable) was analyzed by reviewing the literature related to the artificial intelligence education program in secondary school subjects. The conclusions drawn through the research results are as follows. First, the effect of secondary artificial intelligence education showed a moderate effect size. Second, there was a significant difference in the effectiveness of the education program according to the educational tool and activity type. Third, a large effect was observed in the variable related to literacy in the cognitive domain and the variable related to the ego in the affective domain. This study provides the following implications for technical education. Since artificial intelligence education in secondary school varies depending on educational tools and types of activities, it is necessary to design an educational program suitable for artificial intelligence education by reflecting the perspective of the technology subject, and it is necessary to discuss the content system or instructional design plan for convergence centered on technology subjects.

Integrated optimization of planning and operation of a shared automated electric vehicle system considering the trip selection and opportunity cost

<abstract> <p>Shared autonomous electric vehicle systems (SAEVS) combine autonomous driving technology with shared electric vehicle services to provide advantages over traditional shared vehicle systems, including autonomous vehicle relocation and rapid response to user needs. In this study, we seek to enhance the operational efficiency and profitability of SAEVS by considering trip selection and the potential opportunity cost associated with unmet user demands. An integer linear programming (ILP) model is developed using a spatio-temporal state network to optimize the system design planning (e.g., charging facility, vehicle fleet sizing and distribution) and operational decisions (e.g., vehicle operational relocation and trip selection strategy). To handle the computational complexities of this model, we propose a Lagrangian relaxation (LR) algorithm. The performance of the LR algorithm is evaluated through a case study. The results, along with a parameter sensitivity analysis, reveal several key findings: (ⅰ) Allocating vehicles to stations with concentrated early peak demand, distributing charging facilities to stations with high total demand throughout the day and implementing vehicle relocation after the early demand peak can mitigate uneven vehicle distribution; (ⅱ) Implementing trip selection enhances SAEVS profitability; (ⅲ) Increasing opportunity cost meets user demands but at the expense of reduced profit; (ⅳ) It is recommended that SAEVS be equipped with charging facilities of suitable charging power based on operational conditions.</p> </abstract>

Contributing Factors to Adverse Events in Long-Term Care Facilities in Ireland, a Content Analysis

ObjectivesThere is substantial research on contributing factors to adverse events (AEs) in acute settings. Little is known about AEs in long-term care facilities (LTCFs). Our aim was to identify contributing factors to AEs from LTCFs for older persons and people with disability to inform quality improvement. DesignContent analysis of statutory notifications of AEs from LTCFs using a modified version of the Human Factors Analysis and Classifications System (HFACS) applied to health care. SettingA sample of high risk-rated notifications of AEs received by the regulator in 2018 and 2019 was drawn from the Database of Statutory Notifications from Social Care in Ireland (n = 156). MethodsTwo researchers independently analyzed notifications to identify contributing factors using our modified HFACS. The number of factors identified in each level, subcategory, and nanocode of the HFACS was calculated along with percentage representation of factors within notifications and percentage contribution of individual factors to the total number of factors identified. The number and percentage contributions of factors were also calculated, disaggregated by notification type. ResultsContributing factors from all levels of the HFACS were identified. The most common contributing factor was “Resident factors” followed by “Unsafe acts.” No contributing factors were attributed to 68 notifications (43.6%). Multiple contributing factors were attributed to 45 notifications (28.8%). The largest percentage of factors was identified in notifications of serious injuries (27.4%). Conclusion and ImplicationsIt is the responsibility of LTCFs to account for “Resident factors” in system design, risk management, and care plans. Developing systems and processes that identify where residents have higher risk of harm may reduce the occurrence of high-risk events and thus improve resident safety. The large proportion of notifications where no contributing factors were identified suggests the need for improved reflection and reporting from LTCFs and for more specific questions on notification forms.

Hierarchical active learning for defect localization in 3D systems

Aim: Advanced sensing and imaging is capable to retrieve rich information of complex systems, which can be integrated with underlying physics to develop a personalized simulation framework to discern system internal property for defect localization. Simulation-based defect localization involves modeling the heterogeneous 3D physical systems and calibrating spatial-varying model parameters. In this paper, we aim to develop an effective simulation-based active learning framework for defect localization in complex 3D systems. Methods: We develop a Hierarchical Gaussian Process (GP)-based Active Learning (HGPAL) framework to estimate the spatial-varying model parameters for reliable defect localization in complex 3D systems. We first develop a GP regression model on the 2D embedding of a 3D geometry to capture the geometric information. Second, we propose a Hierarchical GP-based active learning approach composed of master GP and sub-GP modeling to account for the system heterogeneity and further estimate the spatial-varying model parameter for defect localization. Results: We evaluate the performance of the proposed HGPAL framework in a 3D body-heart system to identify and localize infarct in the heart. Numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our HGPAL framework for 3D defect localization. Conclusion: This study successfully developed and tested an HGPAL framework for defect localization in complex 3D systems. The results suggest that this approach can efficiently and accurately localize defects in 3D systems, demonstrating its potential for practical applications in precision engineering system design and healthcare treatment planning.

Second-Order Quantified Boolean Logic

Second-order quantified Boolean formulas (SOQBFs) generalize quantified Boolean formulas (QBFs) by admitting second-order quantifiers on function variables in addition to first-order quantifiers on atomic variables. Recent endeavors establish that the complexity of SOQBF satisfiability corresponds to the exponential-time hierarchy (EXPH), similar to that of QBF satisfiability corresponding to the polynomial-time hierarchy (PH). This fact reveals the succinct expression power of SOQBFs in encoding decision problems not efficiently doable by QBFs. In this paper, we investigate the second-order quantified Boolean logic with the following main results: First, we present a procedure of quantifier elimination converting SOQBFs to QBFs and a game interpretation of SOQBF semantics. Second, we devise a sound and complete refutation-proof system for SOQBF. Third, we develop an algorithm for countermodel extraction from a refutation proof. Finally, we show potential applications of SOQBFs in system design and multi-agent planning. With these advances, we anticipate practical tools for development.

The Malaka Sari Village Office is a government agency that provides services to the community, such as making population documents. Every Monday to Friday, kelurahan employees provide services for making citizen documents, but this is still done manually, so the services provided are less than optimal and filing takes quite a long time. This study aims to make it easier for village employees to provide maximum service, as well as to make it easier for the community to submit documents personal identity. In conducting research, the authors use several supporting theories, namely Information Systems, Waterfall, PHP (HyperText Preprocessor), and others. In conducting research, the authors analyze the system that is currently running on Malaka Sari Village, and using data collection methods, namely conducting interviews, direct observation, literature study, and collecting documentation in the form of photos, videos and others, making it easier for writers to design information systems based on citizen data processing Website for the Malaka Sari Village. The design of the information system that is made, consists of system architecture design, Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram), Class Diagrams, system design plans and menu structures, and using PHP (HyperText Preprocessor), and databases MySQL. The results of this study indicate that the design of a web-based citizen administrative service information system makes it easy for people who want to submit letters or documents that are self-identity in nature, and village employees in providing services to residents of the Malaka Sari Village, as well as helping maximize community services at the village office . Digital modeling and dynamic analysis of RAT systems

In this paper, the key factors that influence the dynamic characteristics of RAT systems are analyzed and identified, and the digital model of typical RAT systems is established by AMESim plat-form. On this basis, the dynamic characteristics of typical RAT systems are analyzed.by simulating the dynamic changes of pitch Angle and turbine speed of RAT system under different flow field environment, hydraulic dynamic load and electrical load, the adaptability of RAT system to working scene was analyzed, and the inherent characteristics of typical RAT system were identified. The results provided theoretical basis for RAT system design and flight profile planning.

Analysis and Design of User Interface and User Experience of Regional Tax Enterprise Resources Planning System with Design Thinking Method

Regional Tax is one of the main sectors of independent income owned by each City or Regency to fund infrastructure development, education development, health services, and much more. The government agency that manages this regional tax is Badan Pendapatan Daerah, abbreviated as Bapenda. In particular, the West Bandung Bapenda has not implemented an online-based Regional Tax service system. This management system cannot be developed, and taxpayers have no independent account management. The appearance and user experience of the existing system has not matched the current design trends and the latest organizational structure. This greatly obstructs the services of Bapenda to taxpayers due to the lack of digital transparency. The system's flow is quite convoluted, thus affecting the quality and slow access to information. These limitations will be resolved through structured research using the Design Thinking and Usability Testing method for testing so that later it can be translated into an Enterprise Resources Planning system design with a good User Interface / User Experience. This method is structured following five phases: empathy, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The empathy phase aims to understand user problems, the define phase identifies and maps problems, the ideate phase aims to generate ideas, the prototype phase aims to implement the design based on the results of the previous steps, and the test phase aims to test the user. The final phase is the test phase and aims to test the user. The results obtained after applying this method follow user expectations.

Metode Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique Untuk Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Penentuan Penerima Beasiswa

Scholarships are a work program that exists in every public, private and madrasah school. The scholarship program is held to ease the burden on students in taking the study period, especially in terms of costs. The decision-making process is basically choosing the best alternative, such as structuring the problem, determining alternatives, determining possible values for alleatory variables, setting values, time preference requirements, and risk specifications. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique method can be used in making decisions for determining scholarships. The results of functional testing found that the system has been running in accordance with the system design plan that has been made previously. The results of the system's feasibility testing with answers to questionnaires from respondents who have been carried out from the answers agree and strongly agree show the percentage of 94%.

Design and Optimization of a Grid-Connected Solar Energy System: Study in Iraq

Hybrid energy systems (HESs) consisting of both conventional and renewable energy sources can help to drastically reduce fossil fuel utilization and greenhouse gas emissions. The optimal design of HESs requires a suitable control strategy to realize the design, technical, economic, and environmental objectives. The aim of this study is to investigate the optimum design of a grid-connected PV/battery HES that can address the load requirements of a residential house in Iraq. The MATLAB Link in the HOMER software was used to develop a new dispatch strategy that predicts the upcoming solar production and electricity demand. A comparison of the modified strategy with the default strategies, including load following and cycle charging in HOMER, is carried out by considering the techno-economic and environmental perspectives. According to optimization studies, the modified strategy results in the best performance with the least net present cost (USD 33,747), unmet load (87 kWh/year), grid purchases (6188 kWh/year), and CO2 emission (3913 kg/year). Finally, the sensitivity analysis was performed on various critical parameters, which are found to affect the optimum results on different scales. Taking into consideration the recent advocacy efforts aimed at achieving the sustainable development targets, the models proposed in this paper can be used for a similar system design and operation planning that allow a shift to more efficient dispatch strategies of HESs.

Macroscopic traffic flow in railway systems — A discussion of the applicability of fundamental diagrams

Macroscopic traffic flow theory is widely used to analyze the performance and congestion in transportation systems and urban traffic. Currently, the main area of application is road traffic, where fundamental diagrams depicting the relationship between performance parameters such as traffic density, traffic flow and vehicle speed are used to represent traffic regimes and system settings. Research on the applicability for rail traffic systems is only starting to emerge and has mainly focused on mass transit systems and moving block signaling systems, so far. The current paper provides a theoretical analysis of traffic flow properties on unidirectional railway lines. Macroscopic fundamental diagrams are established and used to analyze similarities and differences of traffic flow behavior in railway systems. It is shown how fundamental diagrams allow to pinpoint flow regimes and different phases in train traffic, which can be useful information for system design and operation planning. Railway systems are studied both in a deterministic setting allowing to analyze peak efficiency and in a stochastic setting with perturbations.

Semantic rules for capability matchmaking in the context of manufacturing system design and reconfiguration

ABSTRACT To survive in dynamic markets and meet the changing requirements, manufacturing companies must rapidly design new production systems and reconfigure existing ones. The current designer-centric search of feasible resources from various catalogues is a time-consuming and laborious process, which limits the consideration of many different alternative resource solutions. This article presents the implementation of an automatic capability matchmaking approach and software, which searches through resource catalogues to find feasible resources and resource combinations for the processing requirements of the product. The approach is based on formal ontology-based descriptions of both products and resources and the semantic rules used to find the matches. The article focuses on these rules implemented with SPIN rule language. They relate to 1) inferring and asserting parameters of combined capabilities of combined resources and 2) comparison of the product characteristics against the capability parameters of the resource (combination). The presented case study proves that the matchmaking system can find feasible matches. However, a human designer must validate the result when making the final resource selection. The approach should speed up the system design and reconfiguration planning and allow more alternative solutions be considered, compared with traditional manual design approaches.

Pemetaan Terhadap Penyebaran Unit Cabang Kantor Pos Di Kabupaten Wonogiri

The Post Office is one of the public facilities for the community because it serves service facilities in the form of postal services, package delivery, logistics and reliable financial services. However, the lack of information makes access to the location of post office services not informed of the location distribution. The purpose of this research is to create a mapping application for branch post office units to make it easier for the general public to get information about the nearest post office unit, using the K-Means Clustering Method. Users can choose which post office unit they want to choose based on their criteria. In functional testing (Blackbox) it was found that the system had been running according to the system design plan that had been made previously, while the validity test using the Silhouette Coefficient method showed the average value for cluster 1 was 0.282674, cluster 2 was 0.297377, and cluster 3 is 0.423516, which means the object is in a good or appropriate group because the Silhouette Coefficient value in each cluster is closer to 1, which means the better the grouping of data in one cluster.Keywords : K-Means Clustering, Post Office, Silhouette Coefficient

Optimization of Regional Economic Industrial Structure Based on Edge Computing and Fuzzy K -Means Clustering

This paper proposes a fuzzy K -means clustering-based optimization method for regional economic industrial structure. This paper discusses the multisubject of regional industrial planning, as well as its position and function in planning, based on research into regional industrial planning system design. This paper proposes a regional industrial planning model based on regional economic differences after summarizing the general methods of regional industrial planning and the disadvantages of traditional regional industrial planning. This paper uses edge computing technology to conduct a category analysis of various industrial cities and develops three models to study the evolution law of industrial structure: alternative evolution model, unbalanced evolution model, and diffusion evolution model. The optimization model of industrial structure is established by analyzing and sorting the various influencing factors of the evolution of urban industrial structure. This paper conducts a simulation experiment to verify the content arrangement of regional industrial planning and the design theory of regional industrial structure optimization system. The findings of this study have theoretical and practical implications for the study of regional industrial structure. For the optimization of regional industrial structure, it has a certain reference value.

Green BIM-based study on the green performance of university buildings in northern China

BackgroundEnergy-efficient university campuses will play a vital role in the development of future sustainable cities, and will be important for achieving the Chinese carbon-neutrality goals. It is, therefore, necessary to develop new decision-making tools for evaluating the sustainability of campus buildings. Since university campuses typically comprise a broad variety of building types, standardized evaluation methods and tools, such as Green BIM, are needed. Green BIM (Building Information Modeling) emphasizes the importance and role of BIM technology in the design and construction of green buildings, providing a standardized framework for the decision-making process, and methods for improving the green performance of buildings.MethodsThis study develops a method based on the Green BIM framework, using BIM architecture to analyse building performance, and the Assessment Standard for Green Building (GB/T 50378-2019) standard to establish benchmark values for evaluation, and project objectives. The method is evaluated on three examples of the most representative university buildings in northern China. The goal is to understand common denominators and differences between different types of campus buildings, in terms of green building indicators, that are important to consider in the early design stages of campus building complexes.ResultsIn this study, a library is used as a case study to demonstrate the tools for evaluating green performance. The study optimizes green performance from five aspects: surrounding environment, function layout, envelope performance and system transformation, and management measures improvement. The results show that this optimization scheme can achieve reductions of the annual loads of about 47.4%, in line with the national energy efficiency standards for public buildings. In particular, the heating load was reduced by 59.1%, and the cooling load reduced by 21.5%.ConclusionA comprehensive approach, combining the aspects of planning, building design, system design, energy management, and energy conservation planning, is required to improve the green performance of university buildings to meet the goals. In the future, it will be further necessary to perform data mining of energy consumption patterns, and continue energy retrofitting of existing buildings and energy systems, to achieve the goal of green and low-carbon campuses.

Introduction. The article considers the theoretical and methodological foundations of effective use and implementation of modern information systems and design technologies in the context of flexible enterprise planning systems. It has been proven that the use of information technology to automate calculations (spreadsheets) plays a key role in ensuring effective computerization of the planning process. Purpose. Presentation of the main provisions of the alternative approach to the design of modern planning systems, relevant primarily for small and medium-sized businesses. The methodological and theoretical basis of the article were the works of leading foreign and domestic scientists on the algorithmization of the budgeting process and the theoretical foundations of planning systems. Achieving this goal was carried out using the following scientific techniques and research methods: monographic (in reviewing and studying the literature on the evaluation of ICT), analysis and synthesis (for research and generalization of research results); logicaltheoretical and dialectical (to form the conclusions of the study). In the process of research, the substantiation of theoretical calculations and conclusions was carried out on the basis of system-functional and structural approaches to the process of designing planning systems. The information base of the study is articles and monographs, including those posted on web pages. Research results. Theoretical bases of computerization of process of designing of flexible planning systems in the conditions of information economy are systematized, and also questions of providing the enterprise with resources by means of system of information and communication technologies which integrates information of the basic business processes are analyzed. Scientific novelty of research results. Is to develop a model of the relationship of information blocks of the designed planning systems for business structures in the electronic environment of the spreadsheet, based on which you can make quality management decisions. The organizational and methodical scheme of the process of designing and implementing flexible planning systems in business structures using the capabilities of the electronic environment of the spreadsheet processor is proposed. Conclusions. The obtained results can be used for further prospective research of information systems and technologies of planning systems design, as well as for the implementation of computerization tools for analytical and synthetic data processing of information systems in the enterprise.

The use of information technology for international transfer pricing in multinational enterprises

This paper studies the degree to which multinational enterprises (MNEs) use information technology for managing international transfer pricing (ITP). Based on 21 interviews conducted with in-house accounting and tax professionals in MNEs, we observed limited use of information technology for ITP management. However, some degree of ITP automation was observed in workflow management to produce transfer pricing documentation. The limited degree of automation observed was driven by both system- and individual-level barriers. Overall, we found that management accountants and information technology experts dominate the enterprise resource planning system design agenda, and the tax departments’ ITP tax compliance objective plays a relatively limited role. This reduces the ability for ITP automation partly because the data segmentation that is prioritized for management reporting does not support the tax departments’ needs for legal-entity data segmentation to document tax compliance.

SECTOR-COUPLED ENERGY SYSTEMS USING THE FLEXIBILITY OF SMART DSM

Linked to the 3D challenges of the energy transition (decarbonisation, decentralization and digitization) are the integrated planning and operation of distribution networks and supply infrastructure. Increasing shares of renewable energies are forcing the use of new flexibilities for maintaining the resilience and stability of the power grid. Important components of such flexibility options are the use of multi-commodity systems (sector coupling) and Smart DSM. Activating the flexibility of smart demand side applications is key for a sustainable, reliable energy system. In FUSE (FUture Smart Energy), a German-Finnish R&D project, AI-based DSM methods are developed to increase the resilience of distribution grids, considering multi-energy applications and local network conditions. The methods are evaluated in a Smart Grid laboratory, principles are integrated into an optimization framework for planning system design and operation. The project is ongoing, hence results are subject to update. The DSM methods are based on automated generation of soft-control signals enabling dynamic, decentralized control of consumers based on energy availability. Consumers include either buffer storage or process flexibility, or both, with the latter being transformed into the former. First results of the controller testing in the power hardware/software Smart Grid laboratory are promising, with further investigation needed.

Queueing network models for intelligent manufacturing units with dual-resource constraints

Performance evaluation is critical for the design, planning and optimization in manufacturing systems. Accurate estimates of throughput rates and cycle time are particularly important for enterprises that providing customized products. A manufacturing system is an integrated system that couples material processing and material handling interdependently. There are a few studies on the performance modeling of such integrated systems, but most of them assume infinite queues. An intelligent manufacturing unit with an industrial robot for material handling is considered and modeled as an open queueing network with finite buffers, general service times, and arbitrary job routing. To deal with the dual-resource constraints (DRC) of material processing and material handling, a performance evaluation method is proposed to calculate the system throughput, WIP and cycle time. The accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method are demonstrated by comparing the results with simulations from numerical experiments. Numerous facility design and sensitivity analyses are performed to provide valuable insights about system design, analysis, and resource planning.
