Network evolutionary game analysis of green credit: A perspective of carbon emissions trading

AbstractAs an effective measure for the local government to promote reduction of corporate carbon emissions and sustainable development of social economy, the implementation of green finance policies in enterprises and financial institutions has encountered severe strikes from the low returns of low carbon production and low interest rates of green credit business. Under the premise of liberalizing carbon emissions trading, a triple‐level network evolutionary game consisting of a local government, banks, and enterprises is constructed to analyze response behavior and strategy selection mechanism to green credit. The impacts of management tools are investigated in terms of setting carbon market price, limiting the financing upper bound of misbehaving enterprises, limiting the emissions quota of enterprises for fraudulent green credit, and rewarding clean project development on the decisions of individuals in the network. Results show the following: First, increasing the trading price of carbon emissions has a catalytic effect on enhancing the activeness of banks and enterprises to follow green finance policies, but the autonomous regulation ability of which is limited. Second, reducing the funding ceiling for emitting emissions illegally ambiguates enterprises' preferences for production strategies and discourages them from undertaking low‐carbon projects. Third, excessive restrictions on the share of emissions may evoke regulatory inaction by the local government, consequently leading to instability in the evolution network. Fourth, granting reward for clean production is instrumental for the network to promote green finance policies, but exorbitant subsidies increase the fiscal burden of the local government with no significant effect on the node selection of environment‐friendly strategies.

Landslide risk evaluation method of open-pit mine based on numerical simulation of large deformation of landslide

It is of great practical significance to carry out quantitative risk assessment of landslide disaster to protect people’s lives and property safety and maintain the sustainable development of social economy. The delineation of landslide disaster range is the key link of landslide risk evaluation in open-pit mine. This study took the open-pit coal mine coal mine in Block I of Thar coal field in Pakistan as the research background, and constructed a framework for landslide risk evaluation in open-pit mines. Based on the numerical simulation method of large deformation of landslide, the disaster range of landslide in open-pit mine was delineated. The stability of stope slope was analyzed based on rigid body limit equilibrium method. The probability of landslide instability was calculated based on Monte Carlo method. And the comprehensive fuzzy evaluation model was established to calculate the total risk value of landslide. The results showed that: through numerical simulation and empirical formula calculation, the landslide disaster range was accurately delineated, and the comprehensive vulnerability of the disaster bearing body was determined to be medium vulnerability; the annual probability of landslide instability under natural conditions was 0.003, which belongs to moderate risk. The annual probability of landslide instability under rainstorm conditions was 0.024, which was highly dangerous; the annual probability of landslide instability under seismic conditions was 0.018, which was highly dangerous. Under natural conditions, the total risk value of landslide was 114,686.4 rmb, and the annual mortality rate of population was 0.0255 people/year. The total risk value of landslide under rainstorm condition was 11,707,570 rmb, and the annual mortality rate of population was 0.18375 people/year. The total risk value of landslide under earthquake condition was 43,007,400 rmb, and the annual mortality rate of population was 0.135 person/year, which was an unacceptable risk. The economic loss was a small geological disaster risk under natural conditions, and it was a medium-sized geological disaster risk under both rainstorm and earthquake conditions. Therefore, landslide prevention and control and management measures such as slope deformation monitoring were proposed to ensure the safety of personnel and property in open-pit mines.

A combined interval TOPSIS with multiple sensitivity strategies decision-making framework

Reasonable water resources management is critical for promoting the sustainable development of social economy. In the real world, water managers often work in an uncertain environment, and this uncertainty comes from inaccurate information related to water resource data. Therefore, there is uncertainty about the value of criteria in multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) and evaluation of water resources management. In addition, the robustness of multi-criteria decision-making evaluation based on uncertain data is difficult to quantify, which poses challenges to the application of MCDM in water resources management. Therefore, this paper proposes a decision-making framework combining interval TOPSIS and a multi-sensitivity strategy. The framework is used for robust water resources management under uncertain conditions, revealing the optimal solution under the influence of uncertainty and sensitivity strategies, and identifying the ranking change mechanism by revealing the threshold of each criterion to identify alternatives as the optimal solution. The applicability of the proposed framework is verified in different cases (including water resources allocation and reservoir flood control operations). The outcomes indicate that: (1) the proposed framework expands the capabilities of current methods and provides a potential approach to deal with the robustness of options identified by decision makers engaged in water resources management under uncertainty; (2) among the proposed sensitivity strategies, the strategy of changing one or more criteria of a single scheme is more realistic in a changing environment; (3) in the case analysis, two cases show that changing from the lower position to the first position requires 80% and 45% of a set of criteria values. The findings of this study will provide a scientific basis for water resources managers to make robust scheme decisions.

Waste catkins-derived graphitic carbon/Co3O4 composites as long-life and high-rate anodes for lithium-ion battery

Upgrading waste re-utilization has been regarded as an important concept to promote the sustainable development of social economy. Herein, waste catkins were used as carbon source and template to prepare graphitic carbon/Co3O4 composites through cobalt salt immersion, in-situ carbonization and calcination. The obtained Co3O4/C composites inherit the microtubular structure of catkins with ultra-thin tube wall and large tube cavity. Particularly, the sample (Co3O4/C-280) calcined at 280 °C in air shows a morphology of the hollow Co3O4 spheres (av. 50 nm) evenly embedded on the biocarbon tube. As an anode for lithium-ion battery, such unique structure is more conductive to alleviate volume expansion. As expected, Co3O4/C-280 electrode has excellent rate capability at 5 A g−1 and stable long-cycle performance (647.3 mA h g−1, 1800 cycles, 1 A g−1). The presence of pseudo-capacitance behavior plays an important role in improving the capacity of material. The good electrochemical properties of Co3O4/C-280 can be ascribed to the synergistic effect of hollow tubular structure and graphitic carbon. Therefore, the strategy of making waste profitable is in line with the theme of green and sustainable development, and provides a reference for improving lithium storage performance of Co3O4-based anode materials.

Evaluating future water security in the upper Yangtze River Basin under a changing environment

Water security is of great significance in social development, ecosystem sustainability, and environmental management. The Upper Yangtze River Basin (UYRB), which feeds more than 150 million people, is faced with aggravating water security risks due to more frequent hydrometeorological extremes and increasing human water withdrawals under a changing environment. Based on five RCP-SSP scenarios, this study systematically evaluated the spatiotemporal evolution patterns of water security in the UYRB under future climatic and societal changes. The future runoff was projected using Watergap global hydrological model (WGHM) under different Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) scenarios and hydrological drought was further identified by the run theory. The water withdrawals were predicted based on the recently developed shared socio-economic pathways (SSPs). Then, a comprehensive risk index (CRI) for water security was proposed combining the degree of water stress and natural hydrological drought. The results show that the future annual average runoff across the UYRB is projected to increase, and hydrological drought tends to be more severe, especially in the upper and middle reaches. Dominated by water withdrawals in the industry sector, the future water stress in all sub-regions is estimated to increase substantially, with the largest change ratio of WSI in the middle future spatially ranging from 64.5 % to 301.5 % (66.0 % to 314.1 %) under RCP2.6 (RCP8.5). Based on the spatiotemporal variation of CRI, the UYRB is projected to face more severe comprehensive risks for water security in the middle and far future periods, and hotspot sub-regions are identified as Tuo River and Fu River, which are densely populated and economically prosperous, threatening regional sustainable social-economic development. These findings highlight the urgent need for adaptive countermeasures of water resources administration in response to more severe water security risks in the future UYRB.

A comprehensive evaluation of the security of the water-energy-food systems in China

Water-energy-food (WEF) are the indispensable resources for achieving sustainable social-economic development, poverty reduction, and human well-being. An appropriate WEF security evaluation may help inform China's sustainable resource production and consumption. This study selects 27 indicators representing pressure-state-response (PSR) dimensions to evaluate the WEF security of 30 provinces in mainland China from 2010 to 2019 using the entropy weight method and matter-element extension (MEE) model. The results indicate that the security of the water subsystem is mostly under high risk, and is relative severe in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Shanghai, Shandong, and Ningxia. Meanwhile, energy subsystem indicators like carbon emission and energy intensities have significantly improved. All food subsystem indicators have improved by varying degrees. Regionally, food security is high in the east, and low in the central and western regions. In terms of the performance of PSR dimensions, “Pressure” is the most optimistic, followed by “Response” and “State”. The “Response” in most provinces is getting better, which has promoted the overall improvement of WEF systems. Thus, while maintaining the subsystem with high security, the integrated system's security can be enhanced by addressing the shortcoming of other subsystems. This can help realise synergistic resource use and enhance their security.

Practical Evaluation of Human–Computer Interaction and Artificial Intelligence Deep Learning Algorithm in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Teaching Evaluation

The rise of knowledge economy has drawn much attention to Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education (IEE). IEE is conducive to helping graduates relieve employment pressure, and also to cultivating students’ innovation ability and entrepreneurial willingness, which is also of great significance for promoting high-quality quantitative and sustainable development of social economy. However, the current IEE still has some limitations, such as the students’ insufficient entrepreneurial willingness, low innovation practice ability, and unreasonable evaluation methods of innovation and entrepreneurship teaching, which hinder the further development of IEE. Therefore, for the purpose of further promoting the development of IEE, this article studied the evaluation of innovation and entrepreneurship teaching, and proposed an innovation and entrepreneurship teaching evaluation system combining Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) and Deep Learning (DL). The evaluation system was used to evaluate the innovation and entrepreneurship teaching of Class A and Class B. The evaluation result showed that Class A’s innovation and entrepreneurship teaching evaluation score was 7; Class B’s innovation and entrepreneurship teaching evaluation score was 7.1. The evaluation of innovation and entrepreneurship teaching in Class A and Class B was still not high enough, and the teaching quality and effect still needed to be improved; the innovation and entrepreneurship teaching evaluation system combined with HCI and DL had strong operability.

Research status of heat storage technology

With the massive consumption of fossil fuels, the world is gradually facing the problem of energy exhaustion and environmental pollution. Energy plays an intuitive and important role in today's human development and global pattern. The geopolitical crisis caused by this is becoming increasingly fierce and the world energy price wave. In order to seek a more stable source of energy to get rid of the limitations of fossil energy, new energy becomes a new direction of development. In theory, only 23% of the Earth's potential renewable energy (solar, tidal and wind) could be converted to meet today's energy needs, but due to time and geographical factors, utilization is still low. Therefore, the development of heat energy storage technology is of great significance to alleviate energy pressure and promote sustainable development of social economy. In recent years, heat energy storage technology has become one of the most attractive heat energy utilization technologies and has attracted wide attention. At present, it has become a research hotspot worldwide. This paper summarizes the latest research status of heat storage technology in recent years, including the new progress of some technologies. Different heat storage technologies are suitable for different environment and use background, and different energy storage technologies are compared, so as to facilitate the analysis and research of new energy heat storage research under different circumstances.

Assessment of marine ecosystem health and its key influencing factors in Laizhou Bay, China

IntroductionMajor bays worldwide have been disturbed by human pressures to varying degrees in recent years, resulting in many ecological and environmental issues. Maintaining the health of the bay ecosystem has national and international significances, as it enhances the environmental regulation function and resource development value of the region. This study aims to examine the evolution trend and regulatory mechanism of ecosystem health in Laizhou Bay (LZB), China.MethodsA comprehensive DPSIR-based indicator framework is established, comprising 40 representative indicators of the natural environment status, ecological service function, and social values of the LZB ecosystem. The subjective and objective integrated weighting method is applied to determine the indicator weight. The Ecosystem Health Index is then calculated to assess the LZB ecosystem health from 1980 to 2019 and key influencing factors are identified through the scenario analysis. ResultsThe results show that the health status of the LZB ecosystem has fluctuated and then increased overall over the past 40 years, with a fairly healthy state in the 1980s, an unhealthy state in 2005, and then a rebound to a subhealthy state. The key factors affecting the LZB ecosystem health are mostly pressure items, with land-based pollution, particularly agricultural non-point source pollution, having a more significant impact than reclamations.DiscussionReasonable recommendations are finally put forward on improving the ecosystem health in the study area, including refining the legislation and integrated mechanism related to regional management, building a coordinated land-sea governance system and exploring new technologies for integrated marine management. This study fills the knowledge gap of ecosystem health assessment for the entire LZB in such a long-time scale, and the research outcomes are expected to provide scientific references and guidance for decision-making and social-economic sustainable development in LZB and other bays.

Achieving sustainable development goal 9: A study of enterprise resource optimization based on artificial intelligence algorithms

Under the rapid economic development trend, exploring the resource optimization strategy of cultural and creative enterprises for sustainable socio-economic development is highly relevant. This study applies the recommendation system to decision-making and resource optimization of entrepreneurial projects for the current situation of complexs entrepreneurial enterprises in the cultural and creative industry (CCI). The neural network algorithm (NNA) is adopted to model project features, user's behavioral and content features. Finally, a recommendation and resource optimization model based on NNA is constructed for CCI-related entrepreneurial projects, and the model is evaluated and analyzed. The results demonstrate that with the increase in the training period, the model's recognition accuracy reaches 81.64%. Besides, the prediction error of the recommender system is minimized when the word vector length is 200, and the number of implied features is 200. Therefore, the entrepreneurial project recommendation and resource optimization model can significantly improve the recognition accuracy and reduce prediction errors, providing experimental references and contributing to the subsequent sustainable development of social economy and entrepreneurial resource optimization.

SPATIOTEMPORAL CHANGES OF THE HABITAT QUALITY AND THE HUMAN ACTIVITY INTENSITY AND THEIR CORRELATION IN MOUNTAINOUS CITIES

As the urbanization is being rapidly boosted, the urban habitat quality has been significantly disturbed by human activities through land use, which highly affects the urban ecological environment and sustainable development of social economy. However, the change characteristics of the habitat quality and human activities in different topographic gradients in rapidly urbanized mountainous cities remain unclear. Accordingly, Guiyang in China, is selected as the representative of typical mountain cities. The change characteristics of the habitat quality, the human activity intensity and their correlation in mountainous cities from 2000 to 2020, are analyzed using the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs (InVEST) model, as well as the ArcGIS software based on the remote sensing interpretation data in 2000, 2010 and 2020. The results demonstrate that the overall habitat quality in Guiyang decreased by 0.0304, while the human activity intensity increased by 0.0287 from 2000 to 2020. The amount of changes of the habitat quality and the human activity intensity in Guiyang from 2010 to 2020, are higher than those from 2000 to 2010. The amount of changes of the habitat quality and the human activity intensity in Guiyang decreases with the increase of the slope. The central and southern parts of Guiyang are the highlight areas with a significant decline of habitat quality and significant increase of human activity intensity. The areas with an increased habitat quality and decreased human activity intensity are sporadically distributed. A significant negative correlation is reported between the change of the habitat quality and human activity intensity in Guiyang. In addition, a prominent spatial heterogeneity is identified in the local indicators of the spatial association (LISA) map. The significant increase in the artificial land and the decrease in the natural land as affected by the rapid urbanization, act as crucial factors leading to the decline of the habitat quality and the increase in the human activity intensity in mountainous cities.

CHARACTERISTICS AND DRIVING FACTORS OF REGIONAL ECONOMY COORDINATED DEVELOPMENT EFFICIENCY UNDER URBAN DIGITALIZATION: EVIDENCE FROM THE YANGTZE RIVER ECONOMIC BELT

Regional economy coordinated development (RECD) is an important symbol of social progress and an important guarantee of social harmony, political stability and economic sustainable development. Previous studies mainly focus on the relationship between digitalization and RECD, but they fail to investigate the RECD efficiency (RECDE) driven by urban digitalization. This paper characterizes and explores the RECDE in the Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) from 2011 to 2019 from the perspective of urban digitalization by constructing a novel evaluation indicator system and using an EBM model. Meanwhile, this paper analyses the regional differences, temporal–spatial evolution characteristics, and the influencing factors of urban digitalization driving RECDE via the methods of spatial autocorrelation, the Gini coefficient, kernel density estimation and a geo-detector. The results indicate that: (1) the RECDE of YREB is on the rise as a whole, but the efficiency level is low. The RECDE shows a stepwise increase in the order of upper, middle and lower reaches. The RECDE also shows obvious spatial differentiation characteristics. (2) From the perspective of temporal and spatial evolution, the RECDE has changed from a dispersed state to a contiguous agglomerated state as a whole. The average RECDE of the YREB has varied significantly over the years. High-efficiency cities are relatively dispersed, while low-efficiency cities are relatively concentrated. (3) Government intervention, physical capital level and economic development level are the primary influencing factors of RECDE. These results imply that the government should attach great importance to the role of digitalization in improving the RECDE. When formulating regional coordinated development policies, the government should first formulate differentiation strategies according to the economic development level of different cities, and then give full play to the promoting role of government intervention and digital capital investment.

The current situation and developmental trends of industrial biotechnology and biomanufacturing in China

Industrial biotechnology is an integrated technology that utilizes biochemical reactions and biofunctions to achieve substance synthesis and energy conversion. The development of industrial biotechnology supports a green, efficient, and new route for manufacturing of chemicals using renewable raw materials. It is expected to bring a fundamental shift in industrial manufacturing and a change in economic growth mode. Industrial biotechnology is an important strategic technology supporting the sustainable development of social economy and has become a focus of global competition on science and technology. Based on an elaboration of industrial biotechnology's deep integration in bioeconomy, this paper summarized the current situation and developmental trends of industrial biotechnology and biomanufacturing industry in China. Gaps between developed countries and China as well as key areas for biotechnology development were proposed, followed by identifying tasks and directions for future development of biomanufacturing industry.

A time power-based grey model with Caputo fractional derivative and its application to the prediction of renewable energy consumption

The development of renewable energy is related to the sustainable development of social economy and environmental protection. A time power-based grey model with Caputo fractional derivative of renewable energy consumption is established in this study by introducing Caputo fractional derivative and fractional cumulative generator into the time power-based grey model. The analytical solution of this novel model is obtained using Laplace transform, and parameters of the model are optimized using grey wolf optimization algorithm. The model is then verified by using the renewable energy consumption of China, America, and Germany as examples. Results showed that fitting and testing effect of the model is better than that of other models. Finally, the proposed model is used to predict the future development trend of renewable energy consumption in these three countries.

A Fuzzy Comprehensive Dynamic Evaluation Algorithm for Human Resource Quality Growth Based on Artificial Intelligence

In the 21st century, the era of knowledge economy is coming. Today, when the management concept of “people-oriented” is advocated, the value of human resources is more and more prominent, and the evaluation of the value of human resources is more and more important. From the perspective of economic development, as the only dynamic resource, the important role of human resources in creating social wealth has gained a global consensus. The rational allocation of human resources has a decisive impact on the sustainable development of social economy. Among them, Colleges and universities, as the base for the country to transmit talents, take into account the training and the gathering of talents. The core of the work is college teachers. Therefore, the quantity and quality of college teachers are not only related to the development of colleges and universities but also to the comprehensive quality and competitiveness of the country. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation methods have different advantages and disadvantages. However, the case analysis proves that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to judge the human resource management situation in colleges and universities. Influencing indicators is a quantifiable and predictive scientific method. Based on this, this paper proposes a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the teacher resources of G College in place A. The experimental results of this paper show that due to the comprehensive effect of each element, the comprehensive evaluation of the first-level evaluation index elements of the human resource management value evaluation system of G College reaches 84%. The comprehensive evaluation of the secondary evaluation indicators of the human resource management value evaluation system reached 72%.

Implementing Refined Management in College and University Logistics Management

The role of social influence in green travel behavior in rural China

With the rapid growth of rural cars ownership, the environmental pollution caused by rural traffic has become a new problem restricting the sustainable development of social economy. Therefore, encouraging and supporting rural residents’ green travel has become the focus of government and academic circles. Based on the context of China's local rural social culture, by adopting the secondary data from the China Land Economics Survey included 2600 farmers in 52 Administrative Villages from 13 prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu Province, this paper examines the impacts of social influence metrics and the moderation effects of social circle and similarity on the individual’s green travel behavior in rural areas in China. The results show that the significant and different impacts of social influence metrics. Significant and positive impact exist in the social influence from the neighbors who adopt the green travel behavior, while significant and negative impact also exist in the social influence from the neighbors who adopt the non-green travel behavior. Moreover, we also find the significant moderators including the social circle and similarity between the target family and the neighbors who adopt green or non-green travel behavior. This paper has important theoretical and practical significance for enriching and developing the relevant theories of green travel.
