Linkage between Farm Households and Enterprises in the Production and Selling of Potato: A Case Study in Dong Trieu Town, Quang Ninh Province

This study aimed to analyze the status of the economic linkage between farm households and Orion Vina Food Co., Ltd. enterprise in potato production and selling in Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province. The study was conducted through in-depth interviews with 136 farm households (62 linked and 74 unlinked) with the direct interview survey method, and collected data were processed using SPSS. The binary logit model was used to analyze the factors affecting the decision of farm households to join the linkage. The research results showed that the linkage brought benefits to both the farm households and the enterprise, but there are still some limitations. The decision of households to join the linkage was influenced by factors such as production area, production experience, agricultural extension training, and membership in a cooperative. In order to promote economic linkages between farm households and the enterprise, the solutions that need to be implemented include: i) Raising farmers' awareness about the role of linkages in potato production and selling; ii) Strengthening support for farmers in terms of the enterprise providing technology and inputs for production and purchasing potatoes; and iii) Encouraging the local government to support the establishment of cooperatives, strengthen agricultural extension training to attract households to join the linkage, and increase the efficiency of potato production in the town.

Thickly Planting Seeds of Attracting Talents and Breaking through the Difficult Soil of Retaining Talents A Study Based on 140 Natural Villages in Guandu Township, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, China

This research was carried out in the guiding background of the rural construction strategy and the important reports published in 2017, with seven categories of natural village residents of Guandu Town, Potou District, Zhanjiang City, local university students, rural construction cadres, government cadres, returning entrepreneurs, local industrial businessmen, and old and new vanguard members as the objects of the research, and was carried out through five major methods, including the interview survey method, the questionnaire survey method, the field survey method, and the case The research was carried out in five major ways, such as interview survey method, questionnaire survey method, field survey method and case study analysis method. After analyzing and summarizing the content of the research, we learned that there is a dilemma of talent construction in Guandu Town. This research aims to explore the current situation of talent in the construction of the countryside and the existing problems, through the Guandu Township as an example of its talent resources in the problem of targeted investigation and analysis, and further for the construction of the countryside to make the theoretical as well as practical impact and recommendations.

Research on Drivers' Behaviors of Heavy Goods Vehicles Based on Traffic Accident Analysis

Heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) have played a vital role in transporting goods. These goods are closely related to social development and people's lives, including daily necessities and parcels, and even industrial raw materials such as coal and steel. However, for many reasons, the number and incidence of HGVs traffic accidents remain high in all countries. Since HGVs have the characteristics of large volume, large mass and fast speed, the consequences of HGVs traffic accidents are often very serious, causing numerous property damages, and even seriously threatening people's lives. There are many factors that contribute to this tragedy, but it is worth noticing that HGVs drivers played a vital role. Their bad driving behaviors and habits may be to blame for the accidents. This paper identifies the bad driving behaviors and habits of HGVs drivers that may lead to traffic accidents, and analyzes the impact of these behaviors. This paper also attempts to establish the relationship between external factors such as insurance and drivers' driving behaviors, and explores the impact of public policies on traffic accidents. Finally, this paper draws the conclusion that many bad driving behaviors will lead to HGVs accidents, and several actions from drivers, government and companies can be taken to improve traffic safety. This paper adopts the field observation method, the interview survey method and the literature research method.

Understanding the Complexities of Educational Change Resistance amongst Academic Staffs

The resistance change in the educational system has been observed among school curriculum as a result of change of government. The research aimed to delve into the intricacies of resistance to educational change among primary school academic staffs. Qualitative approach design was adopted. Convenient sampling technique was used to select ten participants through utilizing an online survey interview method. The tool utilized for this investigation was the Educational Change Resistance Interview (ECRI). Thematic qualitative design was used to analyses the data collected. Analysis of the gathered data led to the identification of recurring themes. The findings underscored the nuanced and multifaceted nature of educational change, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive and context-specific comprehension of academic staffs' viewpoints, experiences, and the various influencing factors impacting their resistance or acceptance of change. Moreover, the study highlighted potential strategies to mitigate resistance to educational change, including aspects such as compensation, motivation, support and training, as well as effective communication and involvement strategies. In conclusion, this research offers valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with educational change in primary schools, laying the groundwork for future efforts to foster a culture of resilience, collaboration, and innovation within the educational sector.

Strategy and Development of Gomara Nature Tourism, Simonis Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra Province

This research aims to determine the aspects involved in planning tourism areas in the context of appropriate tourism strategies to achieve successful tourism in the Gomara natural tourism area, Simonis Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. The model for finding strategic tourism planning uses the SOAR (Strength, Opportunity, Aspirations and Results) Model, as another alternative to SWOT analysis, this model is a combination of SWOT and Appreciative Inquiry (AI) strategies introduced by Jacqueline M. Stavros. This model focuses on involving all stakeholders and all implementation integrity, to obtain data about Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations and Results to be achieved in determining the strategy and development of Gomara natural tourism. In this research, descriptive-analytic methods have been used, also library data, semi-structured interview methods and survey methods have been used to collect data. The statistical population of this study includes residents of Aek Natas Village, the Regional Government, NGOs related to Gomara natural tourism, Simonis Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency and visiting tourists. The research results show that there are great strengths and excellent opportunities for Gomara natural tourism, Simonis Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. To achieve this aspiration. The government, NGOs, investors and, institutional elements, and local communities must have good collaboration to create a comprehensive tourism plan for Gomara natural tourism, Simonis Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. such as: creating promotional strategies for the uniqueness and richness of tourist attractions, holding cultural festivals and exhibitions, designing websites, educating local people to make unique handicrafts as icons.

Inovasi Pemberdayaan Usaha Mikro Kecil Kerajinan Eceng Gondok melalui Digital Marketing

Purpose – The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education to the residents of Dusun Tapen, especially the Water Hyacinth Craftsmen of Cempaka Tapen, to enhance the digital marketing of their products. In this activity, we also aim to encourage the local government to support Cempaka Tapen's handicraft business so that it can become a Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDES) and further advance and develop. Design/methodology/approach – This community service activity consists of several stages of activities: (1) Observation, using interview and field survey methods; (2) Formulation of activities, as a follow-up to the observation; (3) Dissemination/Socialization to the residents; and (4) Facilitation of infrastructure and facility assistance. Findings – The impact of implementing this activity is the establishment of social media accounts for Cempaka Tapen's SMEs. Entrepreneurs can operate social media effectively, and engagement with these SMEs has increased. Additionally, the local government has begun considering the establishment of a BUMDES, even though the results are not yet visible. Originality/value - The originality of this activity is in the research object and location. This activity focuses on the capacity development of human resources in Cempaka Tapen's SMEs, as one of the SMEs in Dusun Tapen, to introduce digital marketing and apply it to the sales process.

High-Quality Development of Sports Competition Performance Industry in Chengdu-Chongqing Region Based on Performance Evaluation Theory

Abstract High-quality development of sports competition performance industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing region is based on the improvement of the sports event system and the strengthening of market entities, and it promotes economic and social development by extending the industrial chain and enhancing the value chain. To effectively evaluate its development effect and promote high-quality development, based on the analysis of the opportunities and challenges faced by the sports competition performance industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing region, this article uses the literature research method and survey interview method to construct a performance evaluation index system from the perspective of performance evaluation theory. It also analyzes the strategic thinking of high-quality development from three aspects: guiding ideology, main principles, and development goals, and explores the strategic path for high-quality development from five aspects: integrated development of points and surfaces, priority development between regions, conditional step-by-step development within the region, selective key development of small cities, and layered development with emphasis on different stages.

Analysis on Sustainable Development of Communities in Guilin City—Taking H Community in Guilin City as An Example

As the basic structural unit of the city, As the basic structural unit of a city, communities have a direct impact on the sustainability and environmentally friendly development of the city. This article takes the H Community of Guilin City as an example to conduct an in-depth analysis of sustainable development at the community level. Through the interview survey method, the study found that Guilin H community has made some progress in sustainable development, but there are still some problems in the sustainable development of the community. The main problems involve imperfect systems related to sustainable development management of the community, property management The concept of sustainable development is not clear, and community residents do not agree with the sustainable development concept of property management. In order to achieve a more comprehensive and balanced sustainable development, H community needs to improve the relevant systems of community sustainable development management, clarify the sustainable development concept of property management, and actively improve community residents' understanding of the sustainable development concept of property management. Through the analysis of H community, this article aims to provide experience for other urban communities and jointly promote the sustainable development of urban communities.

Tackling maternal mortality in Pakistan: A perspective and call for systemic improvements

Dear Madam, Pregnancy should be a time of immense hope and a positive experience for all women. This period necessitates significant management and care, as the woman’s body undergoes numerous physiological and psychological adaptations. Thus, establishing an effective management system and a proficient maternal healthcare service is of utmost importance for the mother and the children. However, in developing countries like Pakistan, it is still a shockingly scary experience for millions of pregnant women who lack access to high-quality healthcare systems. For many females, the miracle of childbirth is marred by the tragedy of maternal death. Maternal death is defined as the death of a woman while pregnant or within 42 days of termination of the pregnancy, irrespective of the duration and site of the pregnancy, from any cause related to or aggravated by the pregnancy or its management but not from accidental or incidental causes [1]. Additionally, Pakistan has been ranked as one of the top ten countries expected to contribute 60% of all maternal deaths worldwide [2]. It continues to have the highest maternal deaths in Southeast Asia [3]. Despite Pakistan being officially categorized as a country with high maternal mortality rates, the actual number of cases could be even higher due to under-registration of vital events, particularly in the rural parts of the country [4]. Nevertheless, based on interview survey methods, the maternal mortality ratio in Pakistan is estimated to have declined from 430/10^5 live births in 1990 to 180/10^5 in 2015 [2]. However, the recent report, "Trends in Maternal Mortality", released by WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, the world bank, and UN Population Division, reveals alarming setbacks for women's health over recent years, as maternal deaths either increased or remained stalled in nearly all regions of the world after 2015 [5]. The report statistics indicate a public health emergency that a woman dies every two minutes due to complications associated with pregnancy or childbirth. It emphasizes that the world must significantly accelerate progress in reducing maternal deathsor risk the lives of over one million more women by 2030 [5]. Analysis of four-wheel accident model using structural equation modeling method

Ambon City is the capital of Maluku Province. The rapid growth of transportation facilities in Ambon City has resulted in traffic problems such as traffic accidents. This study aims to model the probability of four-wheeled vehicle accidents. Factors reviewed in this study include socioeconomic and travel patterns, driving equipment and preparation, driving habits, and driving behavior. The survey was conducted using interview and questionnaire survey methods with a total of 127 respondents who had experienced an accident. The research method used is data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS software. Result of accident modeling Y=‒0.203X1+(‒0.179X2)+0.214X3+0.536X4. The first biggest influence on the chance of an accident is driving behavior characteristics (X4) is driving under the influence of alcohol (X4.7). The more often you drive under the influence of alcohol, the higher the chance of an accident. Thus, when a driver drives its vehicle under the influence of alcohol, the higher the chance that the driver will have a traffic accident. So that there is a need for cooperation between the police and related parties in dealing with accidents and reducing the risk of traffic accidents such as providing socialization or information, through newspapers or electronic media to the people in Ambon City regarding the importance of increasing awareness of driving safety

Model Prediksi Kecelakaan Kendaraan Sepeda Motor pada Ruas Jalan di Kota Ambon

This study aims to model the prediction of motorcycle vehicle accidents in Ambon City. Factors reviewed in this study include socioeconomic and travel patterns, driving equipment and preparation, driving habits, and driving behavior. The survey was conducted using interview and questionnaire survey methods with a total of 250 respondents. The research method used is data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of motorcycle accident modeling show that the first biggest influence on the prediction of an accident is the driver's behavior characteristic variable, with the indicator that describes the cause of a traffic accident is the indicator of driving over the speed limit. Thus when a motorbike driver drives his vehicle fast and exceeds the speed limit, the higher the possibility that the driver will experience a traffic accident. So it is necessary to have cooperation between the police and related parties in dealing with accidents and reducing the risk of traffic accidents such as providing outreach or information, through newspaper or electronic media to the people in Ambon City regarding the dangers of driving over speed or speeding while driving on the road Ambon City.

Influencing factors of participation in and satisfaction with elderly health checkups: a cross-sectional study.

Attending health checkups as a primary prevention strategy benefits older adults in facilitating the identification of health issues and risk factors for disease. Little is known about factors influencing participation in and satisfaction with a free annual elderly health checkup program (EHCP) in Taiwan. This study aimed to extend current knowledge related to the uptake of this service and individuals' views of the service. This was a cross-sectional study using a telephone interview survey method to compare influencing factors and satisfaction between participants and non-participants of an EHCP. The individuals involved were older adults in Taipei, Taiwan. The random sampling method included 1,100 people, 550 older adults who had participated in the EHCP within the last 3 years, and 550 older adults who had not. A questionnaire containing personal characteristics and satisfaction with the EHCP was used. Independent t-test and Pearson's Chi-squared test were used to evaluate differences between the two groups. Associations between individual characteristics and health checkup attendance were estimated using log-binomial models. Results showed that 51.64% of participants reported being satisfied with the checkups; however, only 41.09% of non-participants were satisfied. In the association analysis, age, educational level, chronic diseases, and subjective satisfaction were related to older persons' participation. Furthermore, having a stroke was associated with a higher attendance rate [prevalence ratio: 1.49; 95% confidence interval: (1.13, 1.96)]. The EHCP had a high proportion of satisfaction among participants, but the proportion was low among non-participants. Several factors were associated with participation and might lead to unequal healthcare service uptake. Health checkups need to increase among people at a young age, those with low educational backgrounds, and those without chronic diseases.

The Consequences of Excessive Vegetable Production

Using a survey-interview method on 50 randomly selected farmers, the study intends to report the effects of excessive vegetable production in a barangay on farmers’ economic conditions, traditional practices, interactions, and the environment. The respondents were composed of 52% middle-aged farmers, 28% young farmers, and 20% elderly farmers; 76% were male and 24% were female. Economically, vegetable cultivation has increased farmers’ financial capability, provided a source of income for others, made others reliant on the supply system, and caused others to accumulate debt. Traditional farming methods were abandoned. Furthermore, excessive vegetable farming caused soil loosening, pesticide waste disposal issues, biodiversity loss owing to agricultural expansion, conversion of rice fields to vegetable farms that lead to the endangerment of other species, and the emergence of non-beneficial organisms. In addition, the Amuyo system was enhanced, non-involvement in social functions, and farmer conflicts were linked to excessive vegetable production activities. It is recommended that a study concerning the conditions of soils in all the farms in the barangay should be conducted; a study on the elimination of the insect that causes the rotting of vegetable fruits and fruit trees; carrying out training on sustainable agricultural practices and environmental issues; formation of a farmers’ organization and farmers’ cooperatives; establishment of a conservation area for indigenous species; creation of vegetable product development facility; and undertake a similar study with a larger research area and respondents.

Cyber Bullying and its Influence on Academic and Social Development of University Students during Covid-19 Pandemic: A Sociological Study

This study looked into the impact of cyberbullying on university students in Bangladesh's academic and social growth. Its goal is to learn more about the impact of cyberbullying on many characteristics that affect university students.The study with the application of quantitative method incorporating the social survey and participant observation where close ended structured questionnaire with some open ended questions has been used to find out the objectives. To select the area and respondents purposive and random sampling methods were used as a sampling technique where the data were collected by using interview survey method. It was found that a major number of women students experienced cyber bullying at least once or twice through other types of media. As the online education system has started due to covid-19 pandemic cyber bullying has increased as every student are involved in media. Social media like messenger, whatsapp, viber, emo and recently being famous among young generation is tiktok mainly through instant messaging. The main conclusion is that although the existence of cyber bullying has been demonstrated, researchon cyber bullying among undergraduates is not sufficiently developed. Future research should pay special attention to this population. The outcomes of this study reveal that cyber bullying has a significant impact on university students' academic, social, and emotional development, and that it has grown in scope as a result of the covid-19 pandemic as they were more involved in online media for academic purposes as well as to pass the time while everything was shut down.

Sosialisasi Kepada Masyarakat: Penerapan Strategi Pemasaran Terhadap Peningkatan Pendapatan pada Wisata Bukit Condong

The purpose of this service activity is to provide socialization to the community in implementing the Bukit Condong marketing strategy in order to increase the number of domestic and non-domestic tourist visits. The implementation of this service activity carried out by the author uses interview survey methods and direct discussions and observations as well as discussions with the community. From the results of the activities and analyzed descriptively using the marketing concept, it was concluded that tourism objects have the greatest marketing potential in providing customer satisfaction, so they are worthy of being promoted and marketed in the national tourism market in particular.

Cost of Cultivation of Groundnut in Mahasamund and Raigarh District of Chhattisgarh

The present study is to examine Cost of Cultivation of Groundnut in Mahasamund and Raigarh District of Chhattisgarh. The study was undertaken by taking 145 sample farmers during the year 2020-21. Interview schedule and survey method was used to collect information from sample area. The objective were achieving by using cost concepts and income measures. The cost of cultivation of groundnut was observed highest in case of large farms and lowest in case of marginal farms. The overall cost of cultivation was Rs. 39790.78 per hectare. The overall cost of production was Rs. 2731.18 per quintal. Gross return from groundnut was found to be Rs. 72461.13 per hectare. The net return of overall farmers was observed Rs. 32670.35 per hectare. The input-output ratio was highest in case of marginal farmer 1:1.88 and lowest in case of large farmer 1:1.76. To increase the yield level, there is need to increase adoption of recommended technologies like use of HYV and hybrid varieties, fertilizers, plant protection and other technologies given by the Universities for increasing the groundnut productivity.

Investigating the Factors Impact the Decision to Invest in Rooftop Solar Power in Vietnam

Renewable energy is one of the alternative solutions for today's increasingly depleted energy sources. Solar energy and rooftop solar systems are new developments in many countries, including Vietnam. However, the investment in rooftop solar systems has not yet been implemented uniformly in Vietnam. This article uses the interview survey method by questionnaire to evaluate the factors affecting the investment in rooftop solar systems in some provinces in Vietnam. The research results show that most factors positively impact the intention to invest in rooftop solar systems. The authors will make some policy suggestions from the research results to increase investment in rooftop solar systems in Vietnam and towards environmentally sustainable development.

Intention and behavior towards bringing your own shopping bags when shopping instead of using plastic bags in Vietnam: an investigation using the theory of interpersonal behavior

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to investigate the factors affecting Vietnamese consumers' intention and behavior towards “bringing your own shopping bags” (BYOB) instead of using plastic bags based on the theory of interpersonal behavior (TIB).Design/methodology/approachWe used a combination of in-depth interview and large-scale survey methods with the official research sample of 536 Vietnamese consumers to explore the relationship among factors in the research model including: attitude, affect, social factor, facilitating conditions, intention and behavior towards BYOB instead of using plastic bags. The collected data went through quantitative analysis steps including Cronbach's Alpha reliability test, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) for scales and hypotheses testing.FindingsThe results show that intention towards BYOB has a positive effect on consumers' behavior towards BYOB. Facilitating conditions have a stronger and more positive influence than attitude and affect intention towards BYOB. Meanwhile, the hypothesis about the relationship between social factors and intention towards BYOB was rejected by this study.Research limitations/implicationsThe main limitation of this paper is that the findings of the present study are limited to elements of the TIB.Practical implicationsBased on the results of the study, we made some suggestions for state management agencies and retailers to promote intention and behavior towards BYOB instead of using plastic bags.Originality/valueThis study applies the TIB to understand the relationship between factors such as attitude, affect, social factors and facilitating conditions on intention and behavior towards BYOB instead of using plastic bags.

Research on the Influencing Factors of Problem-Driven Children's Deep Learning.

Deep learning is widely used in the fields of information technology and education innovation but there are few studies for young children in the preschool stage. Therefore, we aimed to explore factors that affect children’s learning ability through collecting relevant information from teachers in the kindergarten. Literature review, interview, and questionnaire survey methods were used to determine the influencing factors of deep learning. There were five dimensions for these factors: the level of difficulty of academic, communication skills, level of active collaboration, level of in-depth processing, and reflection level evaluation. Reliability and validity tests were used to analyze the data from questionnaires. In total, 100 valid questionnaires were collected. The Cronbach coefficients for academic challenge, communication, active cooperation, deep processing, and reflective evaluation were 0.801, 0.689, 0.770, 0.758, and 0.665, respectively. Principal component analysis revealed that there were three main factors that affect children’s learning depth: the level of deep processing (maximum KMO: 0.908), the level of reflective evaluation (maximum KMO: 0.542), and the active level of collaboration (maximum KMO: 0.410). In conclusion, there were several factors affecting deep learning in children and further studies are warranted to promote the development of this field.

Street food Design in Public Space Gunung Sari Indah Surabaya

The development of Gunung Sari Indah as a new neighborhood creates an impetus for increased housing and street food. Street food vendors set up shop on strategic roads to sell their products, causing crowds and traffic jams that disrupt the comfort. As a result, the focus of this research is on how to design street food in public spaces. This research uses the questioner, interview, and field survey methods. The questionnaire and interview are held to learn about the seller's aspirations for layout setting and facilities that they expect. A field survey is required to learn about the existing conditions, such as road width, seller position, and products offered. Furthermore, the issue of COVID-19 should be considered to avoid the virus spreading in public places. As a result, the layout setting should be aware of new normal health protocols such as physical distancing, handwashing, and environmental hygiene. The street food layout setting will be formed by a color box mural with an area of one car parking lot 2.5 m x 5 m for one seller, resulting in a gap. Then, the East Road, which closes in the evening, will be the focus of street food. Nonetheless, signage is required for traffic management in order to reduce traffic congestion and provide comfort to visitors to this area.
