There is a strong belief that Allah Almighty could reveal His existence by encoding the laws of nature and their fundamental constants in the Quran with impeccable precision. However, the mathematical frameworks and patterns embedded within the Quranic text to reveal scientific laws and constants may contain minor deviations in numerical values to empower personal exploration, accommodate diverse interpretations, and strengthen faith. This theory is based on the fact that the Quran is the word of Allah Almighty. Consequently, one would anticipate finding evidence suggesting a divine origin. Many scholars and researchers have suggested that this evidence can be found in the mathematical structure of the Quran through patterns, numerical codes, and other mathematical features within the text that are too complex to be simply attributed to human authorship. Therefore, it is believed that the Quran contains within its structure a mathematical encoding of all physical laws and constants. Verses like 20.98, which state, "He encompasses all things in knowledge," are quoted as evidence. According to this perspective, the Quran is assumed to incorporate mathematical miracles, indicating a potential correspondence between its text and the underlying order of the universe. This theory reveals many mathematical frameworks illustrating how the Quran embeds scientific knowledge. These include the identification of frequent occurrences of the golden ratio within the Quranic text and the manifestation of the golden ratio in the human body, alongside the determination of key celestial parameters such as the length of the solar year. Furthermore, this theory uncovers a numerical link between the Quran and fundamental scientific constants, notably the universal gravitational constant, the speed of light, and the Planck constant. Moreover, this theory utilizes numerical analysis to offer a compelling rationale for why the numbers 28 and 114 are used to represent the total number of Arabic letters and chapters in the Quran, respectively. Finally, this theory highlights the Quran's remarkable mathematical architecture, offering indisputable evidence of its divine composition. We behold a mathematical marvel of cosmic scale, a phenomenon defying human intelligence. Indeed, the Quranis a product of a super intelligence exceeding our comprehension.

Search of opportunities for digitalization of infrastructure and establishment of industry 5.0 based on the application of artificial intelligence: regional aspect of digital transformation

The consistent practice of digitalization shows the ‘emergence’ of a new quality of work of development institutes, businesses. The further development of the infrastructure, taking into account innovations and ‘digits’, will make it possible to fulfill important tasks in the partial implementation of the directions of progressive digital development of the regions of Ukraine outlined by the government in the post-war period. The purpose of the article is research and data analysis in terms of sub-indices of digital transformation of the regions of Ukraine with the aim of finding opportunities for digitization of infrastructure and working business processes. The authors consider three stages of the development of artificial intelligence through the prism of digitalization of the economy and virtual reality, namely: basic artificial intelligence, universal artificial intelligence, artificial super intelligence. The article attempts to present the opportunities created as a result of industry digital transformation, the development of the Internet, the penetration of basic e-services, the introduction of a paperless regime, and the development of centers for the provision of administrative services. The sub-index ‘Penetration of basic e-services’ shows positive dynamics. Improvement of this sub-index indicates an improvement in terms of connection to the Unified Information System of the Social Sphere; availability in all departments of the State Registration of Civil Status Acts, maternity hospitals e-Malyatko; connecting the Technical Inventory Bureau to the State Register of Property Rights. It was concluded that the new virtual reality in combination with the ever-present application of the latest information and communication technologies is the driving force behind the formation of Industry 5.0, innovations are ‘born’, and new types of digital services appear. The IoT, big data analytics, AI, communicativeness and networking of interactions, diffusion of innovations and Internet technologies become the impetus for digital and innovative changes in all sectors of the economy.

On quantum computing for artificial superintelligence

Artificial intelligence algorithms, fueled by continuous technological development and increased computing power, have proven effective across a variety of tasks. Concurrently, quantum computers have shown promise in solving problems beyond the reach of classical computers. These advancements have contributed to a misconception that quantum computers enable hypercomputation, sparking speculation about quantum supremacy leading to an intelligence explosion and the creation of superintelligent agents. We challenge this notion, arguing that current evidence does not support the idea that quantum technologies enable hypercomputation. Fundamental limitations on information storage within finite spaces and the accessibility of information from quantum states constrain quantum computers from surpassing the Turing computing barrier. While quantum technologies may offer exponential speed-ups in specific computing cases, there is insufficient evidence to suggest that focusing solely on quantum-related problems will lead to technological singularity and the emergence of superintelligence. Subsequently, there is no premise suggesting that general intelligence depends on quantum effects or that accelerating existing algorithms through quantum means will replicate true intelligence. We propose that if superintelligence is to be achieved, it will not be solely through quantum technologies. Instead, the attainment of superintelligence remains a conceptual challenge that humanity has yet to overcome, with quantum technologies showing no clear path toward its resolution.

Exploring the constraints on artificial general intelligence: A game-theoretic model of human vs machine interaction

The potential emergence of artificial general intelligence (AGI) systems has sparked intense debate among researchers, policymakers, and the public due to their potential to surpass human intelligence in all domains. This note argues that for an AI to be considered “general”, it should achieve superhuman performance not only in zero-sum games but also in general-sum games, where winning or losing is not clearly defined. In this note, I propose a game-theoretic framework that captures the strategic interactions between a representative human agent and a potential superhuman machine agent. Four assumptions underpin this framework: Superhuman Machine, Machine Strategy, Rationality, and Strategic Unpredictability. The main result is an impossibility theorem, establishing that these assumptions are inconsistent when taken together, but relaxing any one of them results in a consistent set of assumptions. This note contributes to a better understanding of the theoretical context that can shape the development of superhuman AI.

ШТУЧНИЙ ІНТЕЛЕКТ У ВИЩІЙ ОСВІТІ: МОЖЛИВОСТІ ВИКОРИСТАННЯ

The integration of artificial intelligence into the system of higher education represents a turning point in the process of learning and teaching. The development of artificial intelligence has opened the way to personalized training, automation of administrative tasks and the introduction of innovative training methods. The purpose of the study was to analyze the practical aspects of using artificial intelligence in higher education institutions of Ukraine. It was determined that artificial intelligence is an organized set of information technologies, which makes it possible to perform complex complex tasks. There are three main categories of artificial intelligence: narrow-spectrum artificial intelligence, or Artificial Narrow Intelligence, general artificial intelligence, or Artificial General Intelligence, and artificial superintelligence, or Artificial Super Intelligence. The main educational services provided by artificial intelligence in institutions of higher education are the development and conduct of lectures, seminars and practical classes; teacher counseling; creation of educational programs and electronic courses; development of tasks and simulation of their solution; conducting various educational events; evaluation of the works of education seekers. Some examples of the use of artificial intelligence, in particular chatbots, in the higher education of Ukraine are analyzed and their potential for improving the educational process and forming professional skills is emphasized. An example of the use of GPT-3.5 in the Luhansk Educational and Scientific Institute for teaching foreign languages is presented. Such applications based on artificial intelligence as Thinkster and Duolingo and the main aspects of their use by students of higher education are characterized. Recommendations are provided for the successful implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in higher education.

Freedom, AI and God: why being dominated by a friendly super-AI might not be so bad

AbstractOne response to the existential threat posed by a super-intelligent AI is to design it to be friendly to us. Some have argued that even if this were possible, the resulting AI would treat us as we do our pets. Sparrow (AI & Soc. https://doi.org/10.1007/s00146-023-01698-x, 2023) argues that this would be a bad outcome, for such an AI would dominate us—resulting in our freedom being diminished (Pettit in Just freedom: A moral compass for a complex world. WW Norton & Company, 2014). In this paper, I consider whether this would be such a bad outcome.

In the latest report (May 2023) on The Future of Jobs, the World Economic Forum (WEF) predicts the creation of 69 million jobs by 2027 thanks to AI, but also the destruction of 89 million jobs. In context to intelligence level, Jan. 2022, Age of IQ level of AI was as 7 year Children and in Dec. 2022, Age of IQ level of AI was as 9 year Children. India is emerging market in global and it has around 12 % of work could be automated by AI. In India more than 2000 startup are related to AI and 90000 plus AI Professional work in India.The economic impact of AI, for select G20 countries and estimates AI to boost India’s annual growth rate by 1.3 percentage points by 2035. Enhancing Industrial Automation through Efficient Technology Management in Society

Purpose: The accelerated advancement of technology has revolutionized industries across the globe, enabling unprecedented levels of automation and efficiency. An in-depth examination of the vital field of technology management and its crucial part in orchestrating the smooth automation of primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary industries is provided in this study. Information, communication, and computation technologies (ICCT underlying technologies) and nanotechnologies are included in the broad range of Universal technologies of the 21st century that fall under the purview of technology management. The first point made in the article is how crucial good technology management is to the success of industrial automation. It looks at how technology management techniques have changed to meet the varied and dynamic nature of contemporary industries. Design/Methodology/Approach: ICCT can be used to connect and coordinate processes, as well as for intelligent decision-making. Additionally, the potential of nanotechnologies for precise and miniature automation components is being explored. Examining the intricacies related to technology integration, scalability, and sustainability, key challenges and opportunities in technology management are examined. The Danger of Runaway AI

Abstract: We must reduce harms from current AI systems while also looking ahead to harms that may occur soon. Experts worry that runaway AI could cause extreme harm in the next five to twenty years. The risk is that we develop superhuman AI systems that surpass humans in domains like persuasion, strategy, hacking, and research and development; that we design these systems to pursue goals autonomously; that we accidentally give them unintended goals; and that humans lose control of these superhuman systems. Without regulation, the actions of a small number of elite AI developers could pose massive risks to the rest of society. The risk is not specific to any particular deployment context, but is inherent to the technology itself. So, in addition to regulating specific AI products, we should also regulate the development of frontier AI systems. We should develop safety standards and empower a regulatory authority to enforce them. These regulations would apply only to a small number of frontier AI developers. The risk from runaway AI could emerge very suddenly, especially if advanced AI itself has accelerated the pace of AI progress. If we wait to see the problem before responding, the regulations may come into force too late. So we should regulate proactively, requiring a government license for frontier AI developers.

Interfacing AlphaGo: Embodied play, object agency, and algorithmic drama.

For decades, playing Go at a professional level has counted among those things that, in Dreyfus's words, 'computers still can't do'. This changed dramatically in early March 2016, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul, South Korea, when AlphaGo, the most sophisticated Go program at the time, beat Lee Sedol, an internationally top-ranked Go professional, by four games to one. A documentary movie has captured and crafted the unfolding drama and, since AlphaGo's momentous win, the drama has been retold in myriad variations. Yet the exhibition match as a technology demonstration-in short, the 'AlphaGo show'-has not received much scrutiny in STS, notwithstanding or precisely because of all the media frenzy, game commentary, and 'AI' expertise in its wake. This article therefore revisits the second game's 'move 37', its surprise delivery by AlphaGo on stage, and the subsequent line of commentary by the attending experts, initiated by the news-receipt token 'ooh'. Drawing upon a reflexive video analysis, the article explicates the Go move's scenic intelligibility-its embodied delivery as part of the technology demonstration-as the contingent result of intricate 'human/machine interfacing'. For mainstream media to report on AlphaGo's 'superhuman intelligence', it both relied upon and effaced such interfacing work. In turn, the article describes and discusses how 'object agency' and 'algorithmic drama' both trade on skillfully embodied play as a pivotal interfacing practice, informing the exhibition match from within its livestream broadcast.

"All Watched Over By Machines," or AI Ethics, Surveillance, and Pluralism

Right now, multiple conversations are occurring across places as disparate as damp IT basements, lofty executive suites, virtual team meetings, pristine computer labs, and hazy dorm rooms about what AI really is in this present moment and what AI can really become in the near and distant futures. Doomers claim artificial general intelligence is on the horizon, bringing with it widespread job automation, economic disruption, and the collapse of modern-day societies. Utopians posit that AGI will bring unprecedented freedoms; increase access, safety, and democracy; and reshape our relationships among ourselves and with the world into a perfect, self-sustaining harmony. Halfway along this ideological spectrum, between doomer and utopian, lies the pragmatist, who weighs both the benefits and the risks associated with AI as it is deployed today, with an eye toward how AI might also be deployed tomorrow. Whatever super-intelligent AI might be invented five or fifty years from now, it will likely come about through a series of deceptively small and seemingly insignificant steps, as, in the words of Emily Dickinson, Forever is composed of Nows.

A Postmodern (Singularity) Future with a Post-Human Godless Algorithm: Trans-Humanism, Artificial Intelligence, and Dataism

The objective of this manuscript is to reveal that the challenge in understanding the ethical consequences of a post-human condition characterizing trans-humanist ontology is linked to postmodern epistemology lacking any metaphysical and theological essence. The introductory section provides an overview of trans-humanist thought and the concerns deliberated against it at the recent conference titled A.I Ethics: An Abrahamic Commitment to the Rome Call, charting a path ensuring that technological innovations do not undermine the ethical, spiritual, and moral values animating the telos of the human being. The second section traces the philosophical genealogy of trans-humanism from the Age of Reason (i.e., modern epistemology) to our current Age of Feeling (i.e., postmodern epistemology). This section also stresses that the ontology accenting both periods—the death of God and the death of human—is latent in trans-humanist ideology, which seeks to extinguish the quest of knowing God with an ateleological state that crucifies the human in pursuit of worshipping technology. The third section scrutinizes the conceptual framework of trans-humanism by deconstructing concepts structuring its worldview such as Singularity, Artificial Super Intelligence, and the pseudo-religion known as Dataism. Additionally, this section examines how trans-humanist proponents—while adhering to postmodern philosophy—alter the definitions of sacred concepts that exclusively animate a human state of being, such as consciousness, intelligence, and awareness, by anthropomorphizing AI. The final section recalls the wisdom of the Nicomachean Ethics and the Alchemy of Happiness, composed—respectively—by Aristotle and Al-Ghazali. It highlights the immoral significances of choosing to ignore the implications of Dataism and its techno-scientific objectives, which obscure the use of techne in a virtuous manner attaining eudaimonia and the essence of humanness seeking a path—using God-given sensoria—knowledge of Divine Beauty.

Friendly AI will still be our master. Or, why we should not want to be the pets of super-intelligent computers

When asked about humanity’s future relationship with computers, Marvin Minsky famously replied “If we’re lucky, they might decide to keep us as pets”. A number of eminent authorities continue to argue that there is a real danger that “super-intelligent” machines will enslave—perhaps even destroy—humanity. One might think that it would swiftly follow that we should abandon the pursuit of AI. Instead, most of those who purport to be concerned about the existential threat posed by AI default to worrying about what they call the “Friendly AI problem”. Roughly speaking this is the question of how we might ensure that the AI that will develop from the first AI that we create will remain sympathetic to humanity and continue to serve, or at least take account of, our interests. In this paper I draw on the “neo-republican” philosophy of Philip Pettit to argue that solving the Friendly AI problem would not change the fact that the advent of super-intelligent AI would be disastrous for humanity by virtue of rendering us the slaves of machines. A key insight of the republican tradition is that freedom requires equality of a certain sort, which is clearly lacking between pets and their owners. Benevolence is not enough. As long as AI has the power to interfere in humanity’s choices, and the capacity to do so without reference to our interests, then it will dominate us and thereby render us unfree. The pets of kind owners are still pets, which is not a status which humanity should embrace. If we really think that there is a risk that research on AI will lead to the emergence of a superintelligence, then we need to think again about the wisdom of researching AI at all.

PART II: Whale Songs of Wars Not Yet Waged: The Demise of Natural-Born Killers through Human-Machine Teamings Yet to Come

Current human-machine dynamics in security affairs positions the human operator in the loop with artificial intelligence to conduct decisions and actions. As technological advancements in AI cognition, speed, and weapon sophistication increase, human operators are increasingly being shifted to an on the loop where AI takes more responsibility in warfare and defense decisions, whether tactical or even strategic. Human operators are also falling off the loop, trailing enhanced AI systems as the biological and physical limits because humans are not the same for artificial intelligence in narrow applications. Those likely will expand toward general AI in the coming decades, presenting significant strategic, organizational, and even existential concerns. Further, how natural humans respond and engage with increasingly advanced, even superintelligent AI as well as a singularity event will feature disruptive, transformative impacts on security affairs and even at a philosophical level discerning what war is.

How to Escape From the Simulation

Many researchers have conjectured that humankind is simulated along with the rest of the physical universe – a Simulation Hypothesis. In this paper, we do not evaluate evidence for or against such a claim, but instead ask a computer science question, namely: Can we hack the simulation? More formally the question could be phrased as: Could generally intelligent agents placed in virtual environments find a way to jailbreak out of them? Given that the state-of-the-art literature on AI containment answers in the affirmative (AI is uncontainable in the long-term), we conclude that it should be possible to escape from the simulation, at least with the help of superintelligent AI. By contraposition, if escape from the simulation is not possible, containment of AI should be. Finally, the paper surveys and proposes ideas for hacking the simulation and analyzes ethical and philosophical issues of such an undertaking.

Paradoxes and Epistemological Implications of Nick Bostrom’s Transhumanism in Nietzsche’s Genealogical Perspective

<p class="Abstract">Nick Bostrom, a transhumanist figure, referred human
 perfection on three pillars: including super longevity (super long life), super
 wellbeing (super happy) and super intelligence (super intelligent). This cyborg
 human model adheres to the epistemology of scientism which he values ​​as
 anti-traditionalist culture, religious dogmas and metaphysics, but in principle
 ostrom bases his perfect human model on Nietzsche <i>(Der ubermensch)</i>,
 whereas scientism in Nietzsche's view is a form of religious ideas in a certain
 degree. This paper attempts to reveal the epistemological paradox of Bostrom's
 concept of transhumanism through Nietzsche's genealogical philosophy and its
 epistemological implications. The method used in this research is an
 epistemological and genealogical analysis on the three main pillars of Bostrom
 which are the basic foundations of its transhumanism. In this study, it is
 found first that the Bostrom paradox occurs not only in the misinterpretation
 of a perfect man, where Bostrom considers the fulfillment of the three pillars,
 whereas what Nietzsche means is as an independent human being in the sense of
 two things, namely: able to govern himself and be united or only rely on
 himself, and not relying on external reality or dogma. The second, paradoxes occur
 in the belief system of the pillars of Bostrom's transhumanism where he relies
 on the absolutism of science and negates all assumptions or arguments that come
 from metaphysics and religion. Meanwhile, what Nietzsche means is to hold on to
 the relativity of truth where humans will be weak and flawed if they rely on
 beliefs outside themselves, including science. <o:p></o:p></p>
