Supervision and Control of Fisheries Resources in Illegal Fishing Activities in Central Sulawesi (Case Study at WPPNRI 713)

The main objective of this study is to know the supervision and law enforcement in the management of fisheries resources in WPPNRI 713, Central Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted in September - October 2022. The sample used was a sample of the WPPNRI 713 Fishermen community in Donggala Regency. This study uses a qu(2024)alitative method. Data collection by means of sampling includes observation activities, in-depth interview techniques, questionnaires and documentation studies. Using Descriptive Qualitative data analysis method with percentage distribution tabulation. The results of the research show that the supervision of fish resource management in WPPNRI 713, especially in the province of Sulawesi, has not been maximized, the institutions have not been maximized, the FADs have not been arranged and while the use of fishing gear has shown compliance of around 50% more in accordance with laws and regulations.

Peluang investasi dan daya dukung lingkungan usaha penangkapan ikan di Kabupaten Majene Provinsi Sulawesi Barat

Background: Majene Regency, which is located in West Sulawesi Province, is part of the Republic of Indonesia State Fisheries Management Area (WPPNRI) 713. It has a coastline length of approximately 125 km2, a sea area of more than 13,124 km2, and a land area of around 947.84 km2. The potential fish resources are 1,026,599 million tonnes per year, mainly consisting of small pelagic fish, large pelagic fish, demersal fish, coral fish, penaeid shrimp, lobsters, crabs, and squid. Methods: This research uses scientific literature sources, government publications, policy documents, academic databases including scientific journals, and books to obtain a comprehensive and up-to-date view. Findings: Data shows that capture fisheries production in Majene Regency produces 7,458 tonnes of marine fisheries products. Conclusion: This increased from the previous year's 4.36 percent from 2017 to 2018. The largest marine fisheries production came from Banggae District, contributing 21.87 percent to Majene Regency's fisheries production. Aquaculture production originating from ponds decreased by 46.36 percent from 2017 to 2018. The amount of investment entering Western Province is still relatively low, namely being ranked 30th out of 34 provinces in Indonesia and in last position. out of 5 provinces in Sulawesi.

Competitiveness of Gross Regional Domestic Product and Its Effect on Economic Development in Palopo City, South Sulawesi Province

The research aims to analyze the sub-sectors which are the basis of the economy and the competitiveness of the Gross Regional Domestic Product of the City of Palopo and to analyze the Effects of Economic Growth on the Economic Development Index of the City of Palopo, Province of Sulawesi. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The data needed in this study are secondary in the form of a time series from 2011 to 2021. This research uses the documentation method from the Central Bureau of Statistics and other related agencies to collect data and information. The techniques used are Location Quotient analysis, Klassen typology, Shift Share, and regression. The findings of this study are that Palopo City has an economic base of electricity, gas, and clean water, Water Procurement, Waste Management, and Recycling, Construction, Trade, Hotels, and Restaurants, Transportation and Warehousing, Financial and Insurance Services Real Estate, Government Administration, Defense, and Compulsory Social Security, Health Services and Social Activities, Other Services. Even though the competitive sub-sectors in Palopo City are the processing industry, gas, electricity and clean water, commerce, hotels, restaurants, transportation, and warehousing, this research also concludes that economic growth in Palopo City does not influence Human Development Index.

Determinan Indeks Pembangunan Manusia Di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan Periode 2011-2020

Sulawesi Province has 7 districts/cities with a Human Development Index level that is not much different from the national Human Development Index, several districts/cities in Sulawesi Province have a Human Development Index below the national Human Development Index. The aim of this research is to analyze the Human Development Index and the factors that influence it in the South Sulawesi region for the 2011-2020 period. This research is quantitative research. The variables used in this research are the Human Development Index, Economic Growth, Poverty Level, and Gini Index. The panel data method is used for analysis in the form of cross data from 7 districts/cities in the South Sulawesi region and time series data for 2011-2020. The results of this research show that Economic Growth has a negative and significant effect on the Human Development Index, Poverty Level has a positive and insignificant effect on the Human Development Index, and the Gini Index has a positive and significant effect on the Human Development Index in the South Sulawesi region for the 2011-2020 period.

Analysis of CO2 Emission Generation in the Transportation and Mining Sector in Banawa District, Donggala Regency

Donggala Regency is an area traversed by a national road connecting two provinces in Sulawesi and is also the largest supplier of class C minerals in Indonesia. Both sectors are contributors to CO2 emissions in the air. It is necessary to carry out an emissions inventory to provide an overview of air quality and an indication of air condition in the environment. The primary purpose of an emissions inventory is to analyze the sources of exhaust gases that emit pollutants into the atmosphere. This study aims to provide an inventory of CO2 emissions from the transportation and mining sectors in Banawa District, Donggala Regency using the IPCC. The results showed that the CO2 emissions generated from the transportation and mining sectors at the research location amounted to 5,401.11 tons∙year-1. The types of vehicles that produce the most CO2 are minibuses and motorcycles. The generation of CO2 emissions in the mining sector is not that large because the location and heavy equipment used do not have large quantities.

Pengaruh Lama Penyimpanan Menggunakan Media Arang Sekam Padi Terhadap Perkecambahan Benih Kakao Hibrida

The Indonesian cocoa plantation business is dominated by the provinces of Sulawesi and Sumatra with the condition of the plants entering an unproductive period. The implementation of replanting is the main focus in 2022 by the Cocoa Sustainability Partnership through the provision of planting materials in the form of superior seeds from Puslitkoka Jember. Regional differences make seed delivery take a long time so that the seeds are in their shelf life. Storing cocoa seeds using a storage medium in the form of husk charcoal is carried out in order to maintain their water content in order to produce maximum germination when the seeds are received by consumers so they can grow well. This research was conducted at the Jember State Polytechnic in September-October 2022 using a factorial randomized design consisting of two factors. The first factor was the length of storage of cocoa seeds which consisted of 0 days (L0), 4 days (L1), 8 days (L2), 12 days (L3). The second factor was the type of cocoa clones used consisting of ICCRI 06 H (K1) and ICCRI 08 H (K2). The results showed that seeds with a long storage time of L1 were able to maintain maximum water content and germination after L0, while storage times of L2 and L3 decreased in water content which resulted in low germination. The longer the seeds are in the travel shelf life, the germination of the seeds decreases. Meanwhile, the cocoa clones in this study did not show any interaction

Therefore, it warrants further evaluation regarding ferry transport subsidies KMP Lohoraung in Likuoang-Biaro Tracking North Celebes using the calculation ofSK 5856 / AP.201 / DrJD / 2018. The research method used is observation and interview vessel operators as well as literature. Analysis of household food security based on the share of food expenditure in central Sulawesi Indonesia

The share of food expenditure describes how the level of household welfare in meeting food needs. The study aims to determine household food security in the province of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. This research was carried out in Banggai Laut Regency, Sulawesi Province by focusing on two regional conditions, namely in the mainland area with the sample area in Banggai Tengah District as the point of the mainland area and the island area, where Bangkurung District as the point of the archipelago. The sample of this research is the population who live in Bangkurung sub-district totaling 44 respondents and 44 respondents residing in the Banggai Tengah sub-district, which is carried out using a purposive sampling approach. To answer the research objectives, an analytical survey method was used, using a cross sectional study design. Food Expenditure Share Analysis shows that respondents in Banggai Laut Regency belong to the category of food insecurity

Evaluation of the Implementation of 2013 National Curriculum in Madrasas through the Context, Input, Process, Product Model at the Ministry of Religion of South Sulawesi Province for Academic Year 2019/2020

This study aims to obtain a comprehensive picture of the evaluation of the implementation of the 2013 national curriculum in madrasah through the context, input, process, and product model of South Sulawesi's province for the 2019/2020 academic year. By using the context, information, process, and product models developed. This study specifically aims to: (1) find out how the 2013 curriculum is implemented based on its context, (2) know the implementation of the 2013 curriculum based on its input (input), (3) understanding the performance of the 2013 curriculum based on its implementation (process), and (4) knowing the level of achievement (product) of the 2013 curriculum implementation. However, in this article, only the first objective is presented. This study also wanted to know the advantages and disadvantages of the 2013 curriculum and its relevance to the present and future situation. Through a focus group discussion using the questionnaire method, observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documentation studies, the conclusion is that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum has been running according to the context. All supporting factors are ready before the 2013 curriculum is implemented in madrasas throughout the cell. This study also found that the 2013 curriculum has certain advantages, especially its emphasis on the aspect of character building of students so that the 2013 curriculum is still worth maintaining because it is still relevant today and in the next few years while correcting some of the weaknesses that accompany the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, especially limitations. Educators (teachers) both in number and in quality.

Sociology of Bugis Society: An Introduction

This paper describes the socio-cultural heritage of the Bugis people in South Sulawesi from the perspective of sociology. The study approach in this research is historical sociology, which is intended to explore the socio-cultural values ​​of the past as a legacy that needs to be preserved. The life of the Bugis people throughout its history is very interesting to study, at least as a comparison with the reality of life now, namely after one of the ethnic groups in Sulawesi Province was influenced by modernization. This sociological study of Bugis society begins with a brief description of Bugis people and the world, social interactions, kinship systems, social stratification, social mobility, and social changes in Bugis society. Contact with the outside world and the Bugis people's penchant for wandering, caused this ethnic group to develop rapidly and even history records that the Bugis people built a center of government and became rulers of the kingdom in the archipelago.

Analysis of Air Side Needs at Mutiara SIS AL-JUFRI Airport Palu

The city of Palu is the capital of the province of central Sulawesi which has hajj waiting list 0f around 31,384 pilgrims with a qouta of 1986 pilgrims until 2034. Garuda indonesia has prepared four tipes of air craft that will serve these filghts including Boeing B777-300ER, B747-400, A330-300 and A330-200. In this study use the secondary data for the next 10 and 20 years forcasting uses the econometric method. The data needed includes climatology, passenger and air craft characteristic at Mutiara Al Jufri Airport. The standard refers to the ICAO. Based on the calculation result obtained that in the exixting condition, the length and width of the runway is 2,510 x 45 m and the width of taxiway is 23 m and the dimension of the apron are 373 x 311,2 m. In 2027, the length of the runway will be 3786 m with a width of 45m, and the width of taxiway 23 m. Apron dimension 541,5 x 195,5 m2. In 2037, the dimension of the runway and taxiway are still fixed, but the apron dimension changes to 714 x 195,5 m.

Organic cocoa farming in Indonesia: constraints and development strategies

The cocoa plantation largely contributes to the Indonesian agricultural economy; however, since 2016, the performance of cocoa production in Indonesia has decreased substantially. This study aims to analyze the farmers’ perception of organic farming system constraints and develop strategies for developing cocoa organic farming systems based on local capacity. This research was conducted in four provinces in Indonesia as follows: East Java, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi. Data collection was carried out by the survey method. Seven farmer groups were selected purposively, three in East Java and one in three provinces in Sulawesi respectively. A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed, 232 respondents were contributed to respond to the questionnaire. The result indicated several cocoa farming constraints. These include pest control, low productivity, and marketing. Based on strength-weakness-opportunity-threat analysis, this study indicated the choice of aggressive maintenance strategy. Therefore, the recommended strategy choices included expanding land using organic farming to produce large quantities of products for export; strengthening farmer institutions to collaborate with industry and research institutions; and improving the implementation of the cocoa organic farming system in the field to fulfill community demand for healthy organic products.

Mobile Application Design for Ordering Clean Water Using UCD Method in Indonesia

Clean water is an essential basic requirement for humans. In eastern Indonesia, especially the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Maluku and Southeast Sulawesi, the need for clean water is quite urgent. The socio-cultural conditions, geographical conditions, low rainfall levels, and the distribution of freshwater from the Regional Water Company (PDAM) is still not right. Communities in the three provinces utilise clean water buying and selling services using tank cars to fulfil their daily needs for clean water in reservoirs and water tanks. Orders still use telephone or SMS, so it seems slower. Thus the design of mobile ordering applications for clean water was proposed in this study and was named Go-Water. With the Go-Water app, users can order clean water by choosing the closest shelter model and driver, and then the order is forwarded to the driver for processing. The User-Centered Design (UCD) method use for Go-Water application design. The Go-Water application can help users to order clean water quickly and help improve business quality for service providers. The results of the usability perspective analysis on the Go-Water application design obtained an average percentage of 83%. The result shows the design of the Go-Water app, can be accepted according to user needs. The contribution in this study is the design of the proposed mobile application centred on the user, previously there was no system for ordering 5,000 litres and 6,000 litres of clean water using a tank car and the price offered was more beneficial for both parties.

Pemetaan Wilayah Potensi Bencana di Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah Menggunakan Analisis Korespondensi Sederhana

Disaster cases need to be analyzed considering that when a disaster occurs it will have an extraordinary impact. The statistical method that can be used to study disaster cases is a simple correspondence analysis. This study aims to map areas with the potential for natural disasters in the province of Central Sulawesi. So, in the analysis, regions are grouped according to row profile values that are greater than the average. The result of simple correspondence analysis obtained flood disaster has the potential to occur in Banggai, Morowali, Donggala, Buol, Parigi Moutong, Tojo Una-una, Sigi, and North Morowali. While the dominant tornado disaster occurred in Banggai Kepulauan, Banggai, Poso, Toli-toli, Parigi Moutong and Sigi. For regional landslides with potential Banggai Islands, Donggala, Toli-toli, Parigi Moutong, and Sigi. Then Banggai Islands and the City of Palu are the dominant regions for earthquake disasters. The results of the grouping can be the basis of government and community focus in tackling the dominant disasters occurring in their respective regions so as to minimize the impact when natural disasters occur.

Penerapan Metode K-Means Dalam Mengelompokkan Banyaknya Desa/ Kelurahan Menurut Keberadaan Permukiman Di Bantaran Sungai Berdasarkan Provinsi

The research aims to classify the settlements along the river banks by province. To solve this problem, the researchers applied the K-Means Algorithm method. Where the source of research data was collected based on documents explaining the number of villages / sub-districts according to the existence of settlements on the river banks produced by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The data used in the study are data from 2014 - 2018 which consists of 34 provinces. The data will be processed by clustering in 2 clusters, namely the settlement level cluster on the high riverbank and the settlement level cluster on the low riverbank. The high cluster consists of 11 data, namely the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, Jambi, South Sumatra, West Java, Central Java, East Java, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, and South Sulawesi. By conducting the research, it can provide input and as a solution to related parties in charge of dealing with settlement problems along the river banks, especially for the government, in order to get more attention in provinces with high riverbank settlement rates.

Tracing the Labor Absorption Rate in the Medium and Large Industrial Sectors

The high rate of population growth and the workforce raises the problem of job opportunities, because it involves various aspects both economic and non-economic. At the same time as massive industrialization, it is not automatically able to create adequate work. This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of the number of business units, the provincial minimum wage, and economic growth on the rate of labor absorption in the medium and large industrial sectors in South Sulawesi in the period 2010-2019. This research is expected to be one of the benchmarks for the government and private sector in paying attention to the absorption rate of labor in the industrial sector in South Sulawesi. The type of research used in this research is quantitative. The type of data used in this study is secondary data. The data used in this study are time series data in the years 2010-2019. The results of this study indicate that (1) the number of business units has a positive and significant effect on the rate of employment in the industrial sector in the province of South Sulawesi, (2) the provincial minimum wage has a negative and significant effect on the rate of employment in the medium and large industrial sector in South Sulawesi, (3) economic growth has a significant effect in a negative direction on employment in the medium and large industrial sectors in South Sulawesi. The government should design an industrialization policy direction that should be more inclusive, the incoming investment should be based on empowering local workers, reducing unemployment, creating more expansive employment opportunities and synergizing local economic development.Keywords: Economic Growth; Industry; Labor; Wages.

PARTAI MASYUMI DAN UTOPIA: IMPLEMENTASI TRIAS POLITIKA DI PROVINSI SULAWESI TAHUN 1950-1953

This paper focuses on the application of Political Trias in Sulawesi Province after re-declaring as a part of NKRI. Method used in this research is historical method, which explains research problem based on historical perspective. Its procedure includes four steps, finding and collecting data (heuristic), critique source (selecting data), interpretation, and historiography. The r esult of this study indicates that the application of Political Trias in Sulawesi had underground various governance adjustments as a form of power sharing. The formulation of power distribution changed in the early days of independence, then colored by the presence of political parties’ interests at the local level. Indigenous Peoples' Economic Empowerment Model as a Strategy in Accelerating National Economic Development

Customary-based economic institutions aim to maintain the local wisdom of the community and accelerate national economic development. The economic life of the community has increased welfare through the empowerment of their customs. In the first year (2019) conducted research on indigenous peoples in 3 provinces: Bali which succeeded in developing the Village Credit Institution (LPD), the Batak indigenous people in North Sumatra succeeded in developing CU Ate Keleng, and the indigenous Dayak people in Central Kalimantan succeeded in developing CU Betang Asi. In the 2nd year (2020) conducted research on the indigenous peoples of 3 provinces: Betawi in DKI Jakarta which succeeded in developing the service cooperative "Jakarta Tentram Sejahtera", the Sundanese indigenous people in West Java succeeded in developing the North Bandung Cattle Breeders Cooperative (KPSBU) Lembang and Social Entrepreneurship The Big Price Cut Group, and the Acehnese indigenous people in Aceh have succeeded in developing the economy with the Baitulmal concept. With this business sector, it can empower indigenous peoples and at the same time improve the economy and welfare of their people. The empowerment of indigenous peoples is based on the concept that every member of the community has an obligation to support their respective customary activities. The customary institutions or types of businesses that exist in each location of this research aim to make it easy for the community to get capital in developing their respective businesses and in selling their products. With the existence of this financial institution, indigenous people experience an increase in their economy and welfare. To achieve this goal maximally and to find a model of economic empowerment for indigenous peoples that can be used as a model for the economy throughout Indonesia, in the 3rd year (2021) research will be continued in the Provinces of Maluku, West Sumatra, and South Sulawesi. In general, this research aims to produce an economic model for indigenous peoples as a strategy to accelerate national economic development. Specific objectives: To find out how indigenous peoples develop their economic systems; to identify forms of economic institutions for indigenous peoples in Indonesia, and to formulate a model for the economic empowerment of indigenous peoples as a strategy for accelerating national economic development. Researchers used qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods (mixed method) with a comparative case study type. Thus, this research is expected to obtain a model in order to accelerate national economic development. Data were collected and analyzed by means of observations, interviews, and documents. The mandatory output of this research is the economic model of indigenous peoples.
