In this paper, we prove some inequalities between intrinsic and extrinsic curvature invariants, namely involving the Chen first invariant and the mean curvature of totally real and holomorphic spacelike submanifolds in statistical manifolds of type para-Kähler space forms. Furthermore, we investigate the equality cases of these inequalities. As illustrations of the applications of the above inequalities, we consider a few examples.

Inequalities for the Casorati Curvature of Totally Real Spacelike Submanifolds in Statistical Manifolds of Type Para-Kähler Space Forms.

The purpose of this article is to establish some inequalities concerning the normalized -Casorati curvatures (extrinsic invariants) and the scalar curvature (intrinsic invariant) of totally real spacelike submanifolds in statistical manifolds of the type para-Kähler space form. Moreover, this study is focused on the equality cases in these inequalities. Some examples are also provided.

Optimal inequalities for submanifolds in statistical manifolds of quasi constant curvature

In this paper, we establish B.-Y. Chen?s optimal inequalities for statistical submanifolds involving Casorati curvature and the normalized scalar curavture in a statistical manifold of quasi constant curvature. The equality cases of these inequalities are also considered. Further, we provide some applications of our results. Moreover, as a new example we construct minimal statistical surface (statistical submanifold) of a statistical manifold of quasi constant curvature.

On Ricci curvature of submanifolds in statistical manifolds of constant (quasi-constant) curvature

In 1999, B. Y. Chen established a sharp inequality between the Ricci curvature and the squared mean curvature for an arbitrary Riemannian submanifold of a real space form. This inequality was extended in 2015 by M. E. Aydin et al. to the case of statistical submanifolds in a statistical manifold of constant curvature, obtaining a lower bound for the Ricci curvature of the dual connections. Also, the similar inequality for submanifolds in statistical manifolds of quasi-constant curvature studied by H. Aytimur and C. Ozgur in their recent article. In the present paper, we give a different proof of the same inequality but working with the statistical curvature tensor field, instead of the curvature tensor fields with respect to the dual connections. A geometric inequality can be treated as an optimization problem. The new proof is based on a simple technique, known as Oprea's optimization method on submanifolds, namely analyzing a suitable constrained extremum problem. We also provide some examples. This paper finishes with some conclusions and remarks.

Statistical Solitons and Inequalities for Statistical Warped Product Submanifolds

Warped products play crucial roles in differential geometry, as well as in mathematical physics, especially in general relativity. In this article, first we define and study statistical solitons on Ricci-symmetric statistical warped products R × f N 2 and N 1 × f R . Second, we study statistical warped products as submanifolds of statistical manifolds. For statistical warped products statistically immersed in a statistical manifold of constant curvature, we prove Chen’s inequality involving scalar curvature, the squared mean curvature, and the Laplacian of warping function (with respect to the Levi–Civita connection). At the end, we establish a relationship between the scalar curvature and the Casorati curvatures in terms of the Laplacian of the warping function for statistical warped product submanifolds in the same ambient space.

The Wintgen inequality (1979) is a sharp geometric inequality for surfaces in the 4-dimensional Euclidean space involving the Gauss curvature (intrinsic invariant) and the normal curvature and squared mean curvature (extrinsic invariants), respectively. De Smet et al. (Arch. Math. (Brno) 35:115–128, 1999) conjectured a generalized Wintgen inequality for submanifolds of arbitrary dimension and codimension in Riemannian space forms. This conjecture was proved by Lu (J. Funct. Anal. 261:1284–1308, 2011) and by Ge and Tang (Pac. J. Math. 237:87–95, 2008), independently. In the present paper we establish a generalized Wintgen inequality for statistical submanifolds in statistical manifolds of constant curvature.

Some inequalities on submanifolds in statistical manifolds of constant curvature

In this paper, we study the behaviour of submanifolds in statistical manifolds of constant curvature. We investigate curvature properties of such submanifolds. Some inequalities for submanifolds with any codimension and hypersurfaces of statistical manifolds of constant curvature are also established.
