Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran E-Book (Flif Book Maker) Terhadap Minat Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam di SMP Negeri 1 Cilebak

Learning media is one of the means that can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of teaching and learning activities. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the use of e-book learning media (flif book maker) on students' interest in learning in Natural Sciences subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Cilebak. This study uses a quantitative research method with an experimental quasy type. The sample in this study is class VIII-A as many as 21 students as a control class or a class that is not given treatment with a preetest and class VIII-B as an experimental class as many as 21 students or a class that is given treatment and given a posttest. The data collection techniques used are prettest, posttest, and questionnaire questions. The results of hypothesis testing using the N-gain test were obtained with an average value of 71.9048 increase in the experimental group while the increase in the control class was 54.7619 so that it was known that the increase in the learning outcomes of the experimental class was 17.14286 compared to the control class. This study concludes that there is a significant influence between the learning process using conventional methods and learning using E-book media (Flipbook Maker) on students' learning interest

The S in STEM: gender differences in science anxiety and its relations with science test performance-related variables

BackgroundSTEM education has experienced significant growth due to its pivotal role in innovation and economic development. While cognitive factors like prior knowledge are known predictors of STEM success, non-cognitive factors, including attitudes and demographics, also play vital roles. However, there is a notable scarcity of research focusing on the "S" in STEM—science—compared to extensive studies in fields like mathematics. This study aims to address this gap by exploring gender differences in science test performance and related attitudes, providing insights into this under-researched aspect of STEM education.ResultsThe effective sample comprised 1839 Estonian 12th-grade students who took a computer-assisted science test. The test consisted of tasks combining chemistry, physics, biology, and geography, and a post-test survey was also administered. Across the total sample, the results showed that test performance positively correlated with test-taking duration, effort, and test importance. Test performance was negatively correlated with perceived test difficulty. Interestingly, while general science anxiety was not associated with test performance, subject-specific anxiety, especially chemistry anxiety had a negative association with test performance. While there were no gender differences in test performance, female students scored consistently higher on all science anxiety measures, compared to male students. Furthermore, female students assessed the science test to be more difficult, and they also took more time to complete the test. The correlations in gender subsamples mirrored those observed in the total sample.ConclusionsThe association between science test performance and test-related variables is nuanced: students might not necessarily have a “general” STEM anxiety but it may be associated with a specific subject. Moreover, the findings imply that although there are no gender differences in test performance, girls have a greater anxiety when it comes to natural sciences subjects. These findings indicate the need for investigating the origin of such anxieties, which do not seem to stem from aptitude.

Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Science and Science Subjects Through a Problem-Based Learning Model for Class V.A SD Negeri 27 Palembang

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model in class V.A SD Negeri 27 Palembang. This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which was carried out in three cycles. Each cycle involved planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. For data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative approaches were employed. The results showed a significant increase in students' learning outcomes in Chapter 2 “Harmony in Ecosystems”. The average score of students increased from 62.6 in cycle I with 62% learning completeness, to 70.1 in cycle II with 70% learning completeness, and reached 83.3 in cycle III with 83% learning completeness. Thus, the PBL learning model proved effective in improving student learning outcomes in IPAS subjects in class V.A SD Negeri 27 Palembang.

Exploring Theoretical Issues on Teaching Natural Science Subjects in Grade 6 at Secondary Schools in the Context of Vietnam

Teaching Natural Science subjects in grade 6 at Secondary schools can be understood as the process of impact of teachers teaching Natural Science subjects on grade 6 pupils, through educational activities, to impart knowledge of Natural Science, to achieve academic objectives according to the regulations of the general education program. Studies have shown that teaching Natural Science subjects in grade 6 at Secondary schools is designed to develop the qualities and abilities of Natural Science for grade 6 pupils. This educational activity has achieved some positive results in the past but still reveals some limitations. Exploring theoretical issues in teaching Natural Science subjects in grade 6 at Secondary schools will help identify necessary content and orientation for practical activities. Based on the assessment of legal documents of the state; research selectively inherits in-depth research of several researchers; analyze, compare, synthesize, and evaluate; this study has discovered theoretical issues on teaching activities of Natural Science subjects in grade 6 at Secondary schools as position, role, objectives, content, methods, forms as well as conditions to ensure teaching activities of Natural Science subjects in grade 6 at Secondary schools. Discovering these contents has clarified and supplemented the missing content on theoretical issues; at the same time, it is the basis for applying to educational practice at Secondary schools.

The Effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning Model Assisted by Mind Mapping in Natural and Social Sciences Subjects (IPAS)

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) education in Indonesia has emerged and evolved through various changes in accordance with the conditions and needs of the Indonesian nation. The aim of this research is to examine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Mind Mapping in Grade IV at SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01, Semarang City, for the Social Studies subject focusing on Indonesia's rich culture. The research employs a quasi-experimental design. The study population consists of all Grade IV students from SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01, Semarang City, for the 2023/2024 academic year, with a total of 81 students. This population is divided into an experimental class (Grade IV A) and a control class (Grade IV B). The average posttest score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class, with the experimental class scoring 81.60 and the control class scoring 60.17. The ttable value was found to be 1.701. With this, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected. Ha is accepted because the t-test < 0.05, namely 0.000 < 0.05 and tcount > ttable, namely 6.362 > 1.701. Although the results of the analysis of the difference in pretest and posttest scores obtained a t-count of 5.682 with a significance level of 0.000. Even though ttable is 1.701 with a significance level of 0.000. With this, it was concluded that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted because the t-test < 0.05, namely 0.000 < 0.05 and tcount > ttable, namely 5.682 > 1.701. Thus, it is concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Mind Mapping in Grade IV at SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01, Semarang City, has a significant impact on improving students' learning outcomes in Social Studies compared to the control class

Managing the Teaching Activity of Natural Science Subjects in Grade 6 at Secondary Schools in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province

Improving the quality of teaching natural science for grade 6 pupils, according to the 2018 General Education Program at secondary schools, is mandatory. Management activities are necessary to improve the quality of teaching. The tasks and purposes of this study are to analyze and evaluate the current status of management activities, find out the limitations and causes of the limitations, thereby proposing management measures to improve the quality of teaching Natural Science in grade 6 according to the 2018 General Education Program at secondary schools in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province. This study conducted a survey of 114 people including 20 board of directors, management staff, and 94 teachers of secondary schools according to the following contents: (i) Survey on awareness; (ii) Survey on planning; (iii) Survey on organizing teaching activities; (iv) Survey on directing teaching activities; (v) Survey on testing and evaluating teaching activities. The survey, combined with qualitative research, helps to correctly assess the current situation, limitations, and causes of limitations, which is the basis for perfecting management measures to improve the quality of teaching Natural Sciences for grade 6 according to the 2018 General Education Program at secondary schools, thereby contributing to the comprehensive development of educational quality and pupil capacity in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province.

Kvisoft Flipbook Maker-Assisted E-Modules to Foster Learning Motivation in Elementary School Students on the Topic of Changes in The Shape of the Earth

Student motivation in learning IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) subjects remains relatively low. This issue can be attributed to various factors, such as the limited utilization of learning resources and the lack of comprehensive content coverage. The purpose of this study is to create an electronic instructional module with the assistance of Kvisoft Flipbook Maker. The study used research and development (R&D) methodology, explicitly incorporating the ADDIE model. The participants were subject content experts, media experts, language experts, and 96 fifth-grade elementary school students. Data collection methods consist of observations and assessments. Expert evaluations were conducted utilizing questionnaires, whereas students were administered with Pre-test and Post-test assessments. Data analysis was performed using quantitative descriptive techniques. The evaluation results from media experts indicated a 77% feasibility score, while material experts scored 93% and language experts scored 100%, signifying high feasibility. The findings suggest that implementing E-Modules positively impacts student performance, as evidenced by improved evaluation outcomes following integrating of the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker-assisted electronic module. This research underscores the significant role of technology in boosting elementary school students' motivation.

The Use of Interactive Multimedia in The Era of Society 5.0 in Elementary Schools in Improving Learning Outcomes of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS)

The purpose of this study is to examine the utilisation of interactive multimedia in improving student learning outcomes. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of this study show that although multimedia facilities are available at school, teachers rarely use them and rely more on traditional methods such as lectures and memorisation. Effective strategies are needed to improve the quality of education as well as training for teachers to maximise the use of interactive multimedia in learning. The use of interactive multimedia is proven to improve students' motivation, enthusiasm and learning outcomes by making learning more interesting, concrete and interactive. This research emphasises the importance of technology integration in education to create a more effective and relevant learning process in this digital era.</span></p></div></div></div>

DEVELOPMENT OF ARTICULATE STORYLINE MEDIA FOR ENHANCING LEARNING OUTCOMES IN NATURAL AND SOCIAL SCIENCES AMONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Technology-based interactive media have yet to reach their full potential in elementary education, resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes in the natural and social sciences. This study aims to outline the development steps for interactive learning media using Articulate Storyline and to assess the quality and effectiveness of this media in teaching fifth-grade students about Earth and the Universe within natural and social science subjects. Employing a research and development approach, this study utilized the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The participants were fifth-grade students from the Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Karangbendo, Yogyakarta, with 28 students. Instruments used in this research are questionnaires and tests. The questionnaire was used to get data from the experts, whereas a test was used to get the data on learning outcomes. The findings suggest that the Articulate Storyline interactive learning media is suitable and effective, as evidenced by an average 'Highly Suitable' rating of 87% from experts in content knowledge, media, language, and teaching and learning in primary education and a 'Very Good' response rating of 98% from teachers and students. A significant improvement in learning outcomes was observed, with an average n-gain score of 0.73, indicating a high level of effectiveness. This media is recommended as an alternative for educational activities in schools, particularly for introducing topics related to Earth and the universe.

Developing Flipbook Benadaku with YouTube videos to improve students' learning outcomes in natural and social sciences

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in natural and social sciences subjects on the material of norms in regional customs. Consequently, this study aims to develop and determine the effectiveness and feasibility of the Flipbook Benadaku media with YouTube videos to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in these subjects. Research and Development (R&D) is the type of research conducted, utilizing the research model design from Dick and Carey. The research subjects consisted of 27 fourth-grade students. To collect data, both test and non-test techniques were employed. Specifically, the test technique involved pre-tests and post-tests, while non-test techniques included observation and interviews. As a result, the development of the Flipbook Benadaku with YouTube videos was achieved. The feasibility results of the Flipbook Benadaku with YouTube videos indicate that the media is suitable for use, as evidenced by the assessments of material experts and media experts, with percentages of 92% and 90.4% respectively. Furthermore, the learning outcomes of the fourth-grade students improved significantly, with an average pretest score of 45.83 and a post-test score of 86.67, resulting in an N-gain of 0.77, which is categorized as high. Thus, the media is considered quite effective. In conclusion, Flipbook Benadaku with YouTube videos is validated as effective for use in natural and social sciences learning and can significantly enhance students' learning outcomes on the material of norms in regional customs.

Development of Sparkol Videoscribe-Based Animated Video Learning Media on the Subject of IPAS Material Changes in the Form of Substances

This research was conducted to develop learning media Sparkol Videoscribe-based animated video that is feasible and effective in improving the cognitive learning outcomes of students in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) material on changes in the form of substances in class IV SDN 1 Tambakrejo, Grobogan Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a development research method (R&D) based on the Borg and Gall development model. The data collection techniques used include tests (pretest and post test) and non-tests (observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire) with research subjects 1 material expert, 1 media expert, teachers as practitioners and students totaling 9 on small-scale trials and 25 on large-scale trials. The results of validation by expert validators showed a high level of material feasibility and learning media design, namely 90.62% and 93.30%. This learning media is proven to be effective in improving student learning outcomes, indicated by the results of the t-test of the pretest and posttest values with sig (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.005 and 0.004 < 0.005 while in the N-gain test there was an increase from 64.06 to 77.62 with a difference of 13.56 with a percentage of 0.39% including into the "medium" criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that it has been successfully developed Sparkol Videoscribe-based animated video learning media that is feasible and effective to use in learning to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes in IPAS subjects on material changes in the form of substances.

PENERAPAN MODEL CONTEXTUAL TEACHING LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATAKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA DIKELAS V/A SDN 036/VI RANTAU PANJANG III

ABSTRACT The problem in this research is that student motivation and learning outcomes in Natural Sciences subjects for class VA SDN 36/VI Rantau Panjang III are still relatively low. The aim of this research is to describe the application of the contextual learning model in the VA class on motivation and learning outcomes. The method used in this research is classroom action research (PTK). This research consists of 2 cycles, each cycle is carried out through 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection and consists of 2 meetings. Student learning motivation can be explained as follows: (1) the application of the contextual learning model can increase student learning motivation and the results of the learning motivation questionnaire show that in cycle I there was 55.45% while in cycle II it increased very well, namely 83.50%, this indicates s=tudent learning motivation increased according to the success indicator, namely 80%. The results of this research can be explained as follows: (1) the application of the contextual learning model in learning in cycle I is still not optimal. This can be seen from the tests in cycle I. Only 60.40% of students got a score within the maximum completeness criteria and 39.60% did not reach the maximum completeness criteria. (2) Student learning outcomes improved very well in cycle II. From 45% (initial observation), to 60.40% (cycle I) and 80.00% (cycle II). Keywords: Motivation, Science Learning Outcomes, Contextual Teaching Learning Model

The Effect Of Learning Media Management And Self-Motivation On Science Literacy Ability

The basis of this paper is the teacher's ability to manage the learning media used during learning because it is an important component in delivering teaching materials. Learning objectives can be effectively achieved if teachers can manage the media needs of each teaching material and use it appropriately. The post-pandemic learning process is felt to be less meaningful and tends to be boring for students, so teachers must be able to innovate in choosing and creating learning media that can motivate students to learn. This study aims to determine the benefits and effects of using "KARCIL" media in improving the science literacy of students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The focus of the paper lies in the use of "KARCIL" media in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects with a quantitative approach of the field research model through interviews and observations and the distribution of questionnaires to students used as samples. The results of the study obtained were (1) There was a significant influence between the use of "KARCIL" media on science literacy skills students, amounting to 0.001 with a confidence level of 10%, (2) There was a significant influence between self-motivation and science literacy ability of 0.011 with a confidence level of 10% and (3) There is a significant influence between the value of the coefficient of determination for the Nagelkerke model of 64% and 36% influenced by other factors that are not studied. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that good management of learning media and appropriate use by teachers can improve students' literacy ability and learning achievement.

This study uses a research and development (RD) approach. The development model in this study is the analysis design development implementation evaluation (ADDIE) model. The feasibility test is carried out by means of individual testing (one to one) on 3 experts, namely material experts, learning experts, and media experts, as well as 3 students. In addition, a small group test was also carried out on 9 students. The results showed that: i) the material expert test was 87.5%, the learning expert was 85%, the media expert was 84.44%, 3 students were 88.84%, and the small group was 90%; and ii) this whiteboard animation learning media is suitable for use based on the results of media trials by experts and students.

Development of Interactive Media Using Macromedia Flash 8 Software in Natural Sciences Subjects in Elementary Schools

This research aims to develop interactive media using Macromedia Flash 8 software in science and technology subjects in elementary schools. This research uses a Research and Development (RD) approach with the Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE) model. It was conducted at three elementary schools in West Sumatra with fourth-grade students as research subjects. Qualitative and quantitative data were obtained from teacher and student practicality questionnaires, as well as evaluation tests in the form of pretest and posttest. Data collection utilized validation sheets, questionnaires, and evaluation tests. The results of the interactive multimedia validity test based on Macromedia Flash 8 were found to be in a very valid category (scoring 81-100% based on expert assessments) with an average percentage of 90%. The practicality assessment yielded an average percentage of 88.5% in the highly practical category (scoring 85.01-100%). The effectiveness evaluation resulted in an N-Gain Score (a metric measuring the increase between pre and post-test scores) of 0.77, indicating a high level of gain, and a percentage of 77.87 in the effective category.The evaluations affirm that Macromedia Flash 8-based interactive media is valid, practical, effective, and suitable for educational use in enhancing science learning for elementary students. The findings have implications for integrating such multimedia tools in science curriculum design and teacher training to facilitate more engaging and effective delivery of abstract scientific concepts. Future research could explore wider implementation and long-term impacts on student learning outcomes.

Application of Video Media to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Class III Thematic Learning for Natural Science Subjects at SDN 3 Bukit Tunggal

Background: This research is a phenomenon that is common today, namely low interest in learning, and motivation of students, as well as inadequate learning outcomes. Aim: The main aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes. Method: The research method used in this research is classroom action research. Data sources in this research consisted of the school principal, homeroom teacher and students. Data collection techniques used include planning, implementation, observation, reflection, and documentation. Research data analysis was carried out through stages consisting of collecting lesson plans, questions, pre-test, and post-test results, as well as drawing conclusions, and verification. Result and Discussions: The research results show that the factors that influence the improvement in student outcomes are: (1) Student learning activities when learning science using video media achieve predetermined indicators of success. This shows that students are active in the learning process. (2) There is an increase in student learning outcomes when learning science using video media. Data and test results at the pre-action stage showed an average score of 75.83, with a classical completion level of 79.17%. In cycle I, student learning outcomes increased with an average score of 83.55% and a classical completion level of 95.83%. This has achieved the researchers' established indicators of success, namely student learning outcomes with a KKM of 65, and a classical completion level of 85%.

Articulate Storyline 3 Media to Improve Learning Outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences Subjects in Fourth-Grade Elementary School

The lack of utilization and varied use of learning media means that student learning outcomes have not been achieved optimally in Natural and Social Sciences subjects in grade IV elementary schools. This research aims to create a product in the form of Articulate Storyline 3 which is used as a learning medium for Natural and Social Sciences subjects, and material about cultural diversity in Indonesia. The type of research used is Research and Development with the ADDIE development model. The subjects in this research included media experts, material experts, teachers, and 28 fourth-grade elementary school students. Data collection in this research took the form of test techniques and non-test techniques. Test techniques use pretest and posttest, while non-test techniques use observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Furthermore, the data analysis techniques used were the normality test, t-test, and N-Gain test which were processed using the SPSS 23 application. The N-Gain test in small-group trials and large-group trials obtained values of 0.60 and 0.64 in the medium category, so it was concluded that there was an increase in the average student pretest and posttest scores. Thus, this research concludes that the Articulate Storyline 3 media is very suitable and effective for use in improving student learning outcomes on cultural diversity material in Indonesia in class IV elementary schools.

Development of Android-Based Digital Teaching Materials Using Articulate Storyline 3 to Increase Student Motivation and Learning Outcomes in Natural and Social Science Subjects

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) is one of the main subjects at the elementary school level, where to achieve maximum results in learning IPAS, it requires active student involvement during learning activities. However, the low understanding of teachers about current technology makes it difficult for students to understand the subject matter due to the limited use of learning media. Therefore, researchers want to develop an android-based digital teaching material that can be used by students wherever they are and can be used repeatedly. Researchers used the Research and Development (RnD) research type using the ADDIE model. This study aims to produce android-based digital teaching materials assisted by articulate storyline 3 on the subject matter of IPAS material oh environment so damaged for Class V Elementary School with valid, practical and effective qualifications. The validation results of android-based digital teaching materials obtained a material validation percentage of 95% with very feasible qualifications, 75% media validation with feasible qualifications, and obtained practitioner validation of 100% with very feasible qualifications. The practicality of android-based digital teaching materials obtained a student response questionnaire percentage value of 88% with very good qualifications. The effectiveness of the media is reviewed from the results of students' pretests and postests with a medium N-gain value so that it can be concluded that android-based digital teaching materials are effective.

Pelatihan Pembuatan Video Animasi 3 Dimensi Fotosintesis Mata Pelajaran IPA pada Anak Sekolah Dasar

Animated video is an audio-visual medium by combining animated images that can move followed by audio corresponds to the animated character. and in this case the service uses 3-dimensional animation. This community service aims to provide knowledge to children to be able to make 3-dimensional animation videos of photosynthesis in natural science subjects so that children can know and learn easily how the photosynthesis process works, using technology. The research method uses the Luther Sutopo method with the following steps: concept, design, material collection, manufacture, testing and distribution. The initial stage that was carried out was to think about the concept, namely the goal, was to produce a 3-dimensional animation video of photosynthesis through the training carried out, and for whom this training was carried out, namely for children who were still attending elementary school. Next, do a 3-dimensional animation design for the video which is made in the form of text, images, audio, video and animation. Then collect the materials needed to make this animated video such as background, images, sound and other supporting materials. After collecting all the materials, this 3-dimensional animated video was made until final editing. Then a test was carried out on the animated video that was made to see whether it was suitable for use as training material for elementary school children. After being declared suitable, it will be immediately distributed to elementary school children. The impact is that it is hoped that children who are still in elementary school will be technologically literate, so that later they can make other animated videos with different material.
