The carbon fibers (CF’s) are preferred material whose usage has been very widely growing in various industries that are synthesizing novel composites because it exhibits superior properties. Researchers worldwide are focussed on improving the mechanical performance of the composites reinforced with carbon fibers. In the present work nickel coated carbon fibers were reinforced with Al7075 via stir casting metallurgy followed tensile, hardness and wear studies. The specimens with 0%, 1%, 2%, 3% CF’s reinforced composites were fabricated and subjected to tests as per the ASTM standards, the tension test showed that the tensile strength was increased by 26% the composite hardness was high as 79 BHN as compared with ascast alloy. The Tribological studies were carried out, the sliding wear test results revealed that the wear rate was increased with the increase in the sliding distance.
