This series of papers feature a very practical array of applied research studies and case histories with findings to advance the deep foundation industry. Volume 18 Issue 2 includes interesting numerical 3D studies on the performance of onshore wind turbine foundations written by an author team affiliated with the Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, China. This issue also highlights papers focused on a practical study of driven steel piles in sandy soils; critical insight into better characterizing the residual strength in p-y curves for rock-socketed pile shafts, particularly the Strong Rock (SR) p-y curves commonly used in practical applications; design aids for selecting steel HP sections for driven piles, based on the AISC Specification 360-22 for Structural Steel Buildings; and an investigation of the behavior of walls reinforced by screw and grouted nails in both sandy and clayey soils through 3D numerical modeling with Abaqus.
