Zakat is part of the pillars of Islam, namely the third pillar of Islam. Zakat is an obligatory and important act of worship. There are many verses in the Qur'an that explain zakat along with other obligatory acts of worship, namely the shahada, prayer, fasting and pilgrimage for those who are able. 109. This research aims to determine the zakat accounting standards at BAZNAS Tanggamus Regency and to understand their suitability for zakat accounting standards based on the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) No. 109 .This research method is a qualitative research method with a comparative descriptive approach. The data collection method used in this research uses observation, interviews and documentation methods. Meanwhile, data analysis uses comparative descriptive.The results of this research can be concluded that BAZNAS Tanggamus Regency has not implemented PSAK No. 109 Concerning Accounting for Zakat, Infaq/Shadaqah. This can be proven by the non-compliance of the 4 indicators listed in PSAK No. 109, namely recognition, measurement after recognition, presentation and disclosure. This is motivated by the recent educational background of employees and staff who work at BAZNAS Tanggamus Regency. The average educational background of employees and staff is a religious graduate, and the lack of finance staff is the reason why PSAK No. 1 has not been implemented. 109, as well as minimal government supervision and outreach regarding PSAK No. 109 Concerning Zakat, Infaq/Shadaqah Accounting for BAZNAS Tanggamus Regency

Analysis of the Application of Professional Zakat Management at the District Level BAZNAS

This research aims to analyze and explain the Implementation of Professional Zakat Management at BAZNAS North Kolaka Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with the data collection method in this research being documentation and interviews with 2 informants with the analytical tool in this research using Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK 109). The results of this research can be concluded that: professional zakat management at BAZNAS North Kolaka Regency has been implemented in accordance with Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK 109) based on recording recognition and measurement, presentation and disclosure carried out by BAZNAS North Kolaka Regency. This is demonstrated by the results of financial reports which have been presented in accordance with Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK 109).

Implementation of the Altman z-score model in predicting bankruptcy at PT. Garuda Indonesia, Tbk.

Research aims: This study aims to forecast Garuda Indonesia’s bankruptcy rate using the Altman Z-Score model analysis tool based on financial statement data for the 2012-2021 period.Design/Methodology/Approach: A quantitative description method was used, with data sources from the Garuda Indonesia website.Research findings: Based on the data analysis, Garuda Indonesia was in a "gray area" or financial difficulty in the overall observation year.Theoretical contribution/Originality: Since 2020, Garuda Indonesia has implemented a statement of financial accounting standards (PSAK 73) on lease regulations. According to Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants (IAI, 2022), the objective of PSAK 73 on leases is to determine the principles for recognizing, measuring, presenting, and disclosing leases and determine whether the lessee and lessor provide relevant data with a method that presents transactions appropriately. PSAK 73 on leases categorizes assets from finance leases designated as right-of-use assets as part of property, plant, and equipment and lease liabilities as part of long-term liabilities that appear in the statement of financial position. Following the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants (2022), right-of-use assets describe the tenant's right to use assets granted by the lessor to the lessee during the lease term.Research limitation/Implication: This research has limitations since the reference sources only came from research journals conducted at manufacturing and service companies in Indonesia and researched by Indonesian researchers. The data studied was only for the last 10 years (2012-2021) and during that time the 2019 Covid pandemic occurred, resulting in a lockdown which caused the number of domestic and international flights to Indonesia to decrease drastically.

Implementation Of Environmental Accounting And Environmental Management Strategies At Puskesmas To Improve Financial Performance

The increasing development of health organizations in Indonesia is currently one of the main causes of environmental problems. Environmental accounting and environmental management strategies are needed to identify environmental impacts and their effects on financial performance. This study aims to find out and analyze the application of environmental accounting and environmental management strategies in improving financial performance from an Islamic perspective at the Buay Nyerupa Health Center, West Lampung Regency. This study uses a qualitative research method that emphasizes the in-depth understanding of a problem. The results of the study show that the management and minimization of environmental damage at the Buay Nyerupa Health Center has been implemented quite well in accordance with the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) No.5. Although it is not yet detailed for the budget at the Puskesmas, there are already some, namely the general activity plan cost, operational cost, as well as planning cost and expenditure budget. However, because the Buay Nyerupa Health Center has not yet become a BLUD (Regional Public Service Agency), its performance cannot be implemented optimally, so its financial performance cannot be measured. In addition, in terms of managing financial reports, the Puskesmas have implemented the appropriate Sharia principles, namely fairness and trustworthiness.

Analysis of Fixed Asset Accounting Treatment Based on Psak No.16 at Pt Buana Finance Tbk Bengkulu Branch

Assets in general are resources controlled by a company as a result of past events, where future economic benefits are expected to flow to the company. Fixed assets are part of the assets owned by the company to be used in company operations where payments will change at any time due to depreciation. This study aims to determine whether the accounting treatment of fixed assets in a company starting from recognition, disbursement after acquisition, depreciation, termination and delivery of fixed assets at PT Buana Finance Tbk, is in accordance with PSAK No.16. The analytical method used is descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews to obtain data in the form of fixed asset accounting treatment. The results of the study show that the accounting treatment for fixed assets applied by the company PT Buana Finance Tbk is in accordance with the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) No. 16 Fixed Assets

Implementasi PSAK 10 dalam Menyusun Laporan Keuangan (Transaksi Mata Uang Asing)

Accounting for foreign currency transactions is an important aspect in the scope of corporate finance, especially in the context of business globalization. PSAK 10 (Statement of Financial Accounting Standards) regulates this aspect and provides guidelines on how companies should account for transactions in foreign currencies as well as related financial reporting. This research explores the implementation of PSAK 10 in preparing financial reports, with a focus on foreign currency transactions. In PSAK 10, companies are directed to use the foreign currency exchange rate on the transaction date to measure transactions in foreign currency. In addition, significant changes in foreign currency exchange rates after the transaction date are also taken into account and recognized as exchange gain or loss. A deep understanding of the application of these provisions is crucial so that financial reports accurately reflect the company's financial position. Through literature research and analysis of accounting practices, this article investigates how companies effectively manage foreign currency risks and present relevant and reliable information in their financial reports. A comparison between the methods used by companies in implementing PSAK 10 and best practices in the industry is explained to provide a comprehensive picture. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide in-depth insight into the challenges, opportunities and best policies in dealing with foreign currency transactions based on PSAK 10. The practical implications of compliance with this standard, as well as the potential impact on corporate financial decisions, will also be reviewed. With a better understanding of foreign currency transaction accounting, companies are expected to improve the quality and credibility of their financial reports in an ever-expanding global market.

Analisis Akuntansi Persediaan Barang Dagang Pada Toko Indomaret Basuki Rahmat Di Kota Jambi

This study aims to describe the recording and valuation of merchandise inventory at Indomaret Basuki Rahmat Jambi City based on Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) Number 14 Concerning Inventory and find out the obstacles encountered in carrying out merchandise calculations at Indomaret Basuki Jambi City. This type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documents and informants. The research results showrecording and valuation of merchandise inventory at Indomaret Basuki Rahmat City of Jambi is carried out based on the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) Number 14 Concerning Inventory, namely by recording inventory, measuring inventory, costing inventory, recognizing expenses and disclosing inventory. Indomaret Basuki Jambi City uses the FIFO (First In First Out) inventory valuation method. Obstacles encountered in carrying out the calculation of merchandise at Indomaret Basuki Jambi City are calculation errors, layout of goods, supervision that is not optimal, employee negligence and communication, inventory does not match warehouse capacity, and lack of employee cooperation.

Analysis of the Application of PSAK No.16 to Fixed Asset Accounting at PT. PLN Nusantara Power

Fixed assets are one of the main aspects of the company's wealth with a large value which plays a role in providing and smoothing the company's operations and is expected to provide economic benefits in the long term. The purpose of this research is to determine the extent to which the company has implemented fixed asset accounting treatment in accordance with Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (Pernyataan Standar Akuntansi Keuangan/PSAK) No. 16 in the sustainability of company activities. The problem that occurs is the pricing policy for the acquisition of fixed assets, depreciation of fixed assets, treatment of recognition after acquisition of fixed assets, disposal and disclosure of fixed assets in the financial statements. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. This research highlights the importance of implementing PSAK No.16 to improve entity performance and compliance in recording and depreciating assets so as to improve accounting standards, and contribute to the development of accounting standards in updating or improving PSAK No.16. Thus, entities can manage their assets efficiently. The research results concluded that the company had carried out accounting activities based on the company's accounting policies which had led to the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards.

Analysis of the Implementation of PSAK No. 18 Pension Fund Accounting Reporting at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Meulaboh Branch

This study aims to analyze the accounting recording of pension funds applied by the Meulaboh branch of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan based on the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) No. 18. The type of research used in this research is quantitative comparative. Data collection used in this research is by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis technique used in this research is comparative descriptive analysis, namely comparing the Meulaboh branch of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan pension fund report with the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) No. 18. The results of this study indicate that the net asset and contribution reports have been presented in accordance with PSAK No. 18, but the fund management report has not used fair value in investment management, as stipulated in PSAK No. 18.

Derivative disclosures and managerial opportunism

AbstractDerivatives are increasingly used by managers not only to hedge risks but also to pursue nonhedging activities for fulfilling opportunistic incentives. The Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 161 (SFAS 161) requires firms to disclose their objectives and strategies for using derivatives. Using the adoption of this standard, we examine whether and how derivative disclosures influence managerial opportunistic behavior. We employ insider trades and stock price crash risk to capture managerial opportunism. Applying a difference‐in‐differences research design with hand‐collected data on derivative designations, we find that, after the implementation of SFAS 161, derivative users that comply with SFAS 161 experience a significantly greater decrease in both insider trades and stock price crash risk, compared with a matched control sample of nonderivative‐users. We further provide evidence to suggest that SFAS 161 curbs managerial opportunism via reducing information asymmetry between corporate insiders and outside investors and enhancing the effectiveness of derivative hedging.

Market-based private equity returns

Using the universe of business development companies (BDCs), a unique publicly traded segment of U.S. Private Equity (PE), for the period 1998–2017, we provide the first in-depth examination of their performance and risk-adjusted characteristics and compare our results to contrasting evidence derived from recently developed time series proxies for unlisted PE returns. BDCs exhibit zero alpha, beta of one, and significant exposure to SMB, HML, and CMA factors of 0.5, 0.7, and -0.3, respectively. BDC performance and market beta are sensitive to fund size and leverage. We provide evidence that BDC returns capture both the asset selection and PE ownership elements of the unlisted PE investment strategy. Finally, an event study analysis shows that NAV disclosures become informative only after the adoption of the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards 157 (SFAS 157). We posit that BDCs provide a readily available market-based PE benchmark for use by regulators, market participants, and academics.

Asset Volatility and Financial Sustainability

This study observes how companies’ fundamental-based asset volatility impacts their financial sustainability. Accounting literature documents that net assets value accumulates previous earnings management. The asset balance change reflects biased earnings measurement, and abnormal asset fluctuation signals aggressive earnings management. This paper uses delisting as a proxy to observe how asset volatility can interact with abnormal earnings fluctuation to impact firms’ sustainability. The study uses two groups of regression and a Principal Component Analysis (PCA) Logistic Regression approach to observe how asset volatility impacts companies’ delisting risk. It borrows the Six Sigma methodologies to measure the volatility of financial statement items. Then the PCA analysis reduces the data dimensions to twelve factors. The analysis shows that assets’ abnormal fluctuation is a risk signal concurring with the extant earnings management literature. One takeaway from this study is that companies must disclose detailed explanations if asset volatility is beyond a red line. As Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (SFAS) 151 requires direct disclosure of abnormal excess capacity costs, companies must disclose abnormal asset volatility. The paper contributes to the literature from two perspectives. First, this paper captures firms’ sustainability from the accounting perspective with fundamental measures from quarterly financial reports. It provides a comprehensive way to detect aggressive earnings management risks. Second, the PCA logistic regression model offers a comprehensive analysis to derive useful information from many attributes.

The Analysis of Changes in Implementation to PSAK 71 Post-Covid 2019 on Allowance for Impairment Losses (In BUMN Banking Sector Companies Listed on the IDX)

Changes in the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards from PSAK 55 to PSAK 71 require banks to use the Expected Credit Loss (ECL) method for the establishment of Allowance for Impairment Losses (CKPN). In the ECL method, banks establish CKPN from the beginning of credit recognition using the forward-looking method on macroeconomic conditions. In Indonesia's current status quo in facing the Covid-19 pandemic, the existence of PSAK has begun to be tested, adjustments must be made to financial accounting standards that are useful for strengthening the line of corporate accountability in Indonesia and able to answer Indonesia's main urgency at this time. The purpose of this paper is to produce a framework that can later become an alternative bank in making decisions for the application of the post model PSAK 71. The method in this study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive design. The consequence of applying PSAK 71 will result in a rise in CKPN on loans, which will have an impact on the company's capital. Because the method used in PSAK No. 71 will use the expected credit loss method to determine the expected credit loss, loans that were not previously formed by CKPN will be formed depending on whether there is credit risk exposure or not, as shown by BBNI and BBTN which are seen in the observation year. This will result in an increase in the amount of CKPN on loans.Since there were banks in BUMN banking that experienced an increase in CKPN on loans as indicated by BBNI and BBTN, but there were also banks that experienced a decrease in the value of CKPN on loans as indicated by BBRI, there is no clear correlation between the application of PSAK 71 and CKPN on credit.

Analisis Penerapan PSAK 109 Dan PSAK 101 Penyajian Pelaporan Keuangan Akuntansi Zakat Dan Infaq/Sedekah Pada Lazismu Kl Ummi Dan Lazismu Kl Aisyiyah

This research was made to find out how the application of the Sharia Financial Accounting Standards Statement (PSAK) No. 109 and 101 regarding the presentation of the financial reports of LazisMu KL UMMI and LazisMu KL Aisyiyah, as well as knowing the obstacles in compiling the financial reports that have been made. This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The variable used in this study is where the social situation in this study consists of three elements, namely places, people and activities. The technique used in data collection is the triangulation technique, which includes observation, interviews and documentation. With data analysis techniques performed include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.The results of this study indicate that LazisMu KL UMMI and LazisMu KL Aisyiyah have implemented Zakat, Infak/Shadaqah Accounting in accordance with the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) 109. However, the disclosures are not appropriate, because notes to financial statements have not been made. In addition, the financial reports prepared by LazisMu KL UMMI are in accordance with Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) 101, while LazisMu KL Aisyiyah is not yet in accordance with PSAK 101 concerning the presentation of financial reporting.

Preparing the Statement of Cash Flows Using the Balance Sheet “Squeeze” Spreadsheet

The statement of cash flows (SCF), established pursuant to Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 95 (FAS 95), is perhaps the most useful of the standard financial statements-balance sheet (BS), income statement (IS), and SCF-in evaluating the financial viability of a company, particularly a small business. Unfortunately, the SCF is probably the least understood of the three statements and the most difficult to prepare, and is frequently not included in the financial statement compilations issued by accountants for many small businesses. This paper describes a spreadsheet methodology commonly employed in private industry to facilitate preparation of the SCF, which can be suitable for teaching accounting and finance students at the undergraduate level.

Accountability and Transparency as the Implementation of Financial Accounting Standards Interpretation (ISAK) 35 (Study on Non-Profit Entities)

This study aims to determine the reasons for the revocation of PSAK No. 45 and the application of ISAK 35 and to analyze the presentation of the financial statements of the Yayasan Bina Integrasi Edukasi on the Presentation of the Financial Statements of Non-Profit-Oriented Entities. This type of research is qualitative through a case study approach. The research method used in this research is descriptiveThe results of this study indicate that the reasons for the revocation of PSAK No. 45 are that it has been regulated by another SAK. Then, the Yayasan Bina Integrasi Edukasi presented its financial statements based on ISAK 35. Then, there are not many differences regarding the presentation of PSAK No. 45 and ISAK No. 35 in the financial statements of non-profit organizations. Penerapan Informasi Akuntansi dan Tingkat Penerimaan Dana Zakat Pada Badan Amil Zakat Nasional Medan

Accounting information is a computer-based system and determines performance appraisal, performance, and usage. Accounting information is very important to use in BAZNAS, because if you don't use an accounting information system, the reporting system or budget arrangement will not be optimal. Based on the acceptance data for the last 5 years from the results of interviews, it was found that the data on receipt of zakat funds at BAZNAS has experienced ups and downs or is unstable, so this will affect public confidence in giving zakat at BAZNAS. Zakat funds are trust funds that are paid by the community to be distributed to mustahik. This study aims to analyze the application of accounting information and assess the level of acceptance of zakat funds at the Medan City National Amil Zakat Agency. This research method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and the research data consists of primary data and secondary data. In this study, the primary data was obtained from direct observations and interviews with informants, while the secondary data in this study were in the form of research supporting data, such as documents owned by BAZNAS in the city of Medan. The results showed that the implementation of the Medan City BAZNAS information system was in accordance with PSAK no 109 in the sense of Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) no 109 regarding zakat and infaq/alms accounting issued by the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI). PSAK no. 109 is used as a guideline for OPZ (zakat management organization) in the recognition, measurement, presentation and disclosure of zakat and infaq/alms transactions. The level of receipt of BAZNAS zakat funds in Medan City shows an unstable condition, where there are changes every year, it can go up or down. Judging from the report on changes in zakat funds in 2018 Rp. 709,759,592, in 2019 Rp. 310,816,859, in 2020 Rp. 653,352,697, in 2021 Rp. 738,399,810, and in 2022 Rp. 1,737,062,598.

Prosedur Pencatatan dan Perlakuan Aset Tetap Berwujud Yayasan XYZ Berdasarkan PSAK 16

Fixed assets such as land, vehicles, equipment, and machinery are essential components to support the company's operational activities. Sound recording and accounting treatment of fixed assets are needed to prepare relevant, comparable, and reliable financial reports. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the procedures for recording and treating fixed assets carried out by the Arif, Wahyudi & Lukman Accounting Services Office at the XYZ Foundation were following PSAK No. 16. Compliance is determined by comparing the provisions in PSAK No. 16 with the practice of recording and treating fixed assets in the preparation of financial reports. The type of research used is a qualitative description and uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews and documents. Fixed assets owned by the XYZ Foundation are tangible fixed assets whose depreciation is carried out using the straight-line method. The study results concluded that the procedure for recording and treating fixed assets at the XYZ foundation was under the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 16. However, there are some constraints.
